    Happy this was done. In the real world (with kids) a fun sedan is needed. Sure a hellcat is nice but over 25mpg, room & fun doesn't have to be 3 separate vehicles.

    So cool to see how my 2018 sport 2.0T 6speed holds up on track! As I’ve had this car for a year now the main thing these cars need is a decent set of tires. The Goodyear’s, while great for just grand touring and normal driving, offer no grip when you start pushing them in corners or hard acceleration. A good set of tires does wonders. Also.. Honda.. if your listening.. LSD IN THE 2.0T TRIM PLEASEEEEE

    I have this same car. Put some better tires and coilovers with better sway bars and this car would run a much better time. Honda was just to cheap from factory to upgrade the brakes too. Car has almost zero turbo lag and can be tuned to 375 ft pounds of torque. Not bad for a family sedan.

    • @ependergrass

      The stock pads on almost all cars like this are tuned for cold stopping power. I don't think you'd even need bigger rotors or anything. On my 2016 the Touring/Sport both have larger rotors already than the other models!

    Too bad the stock tires are garbage and the speed is governed to only 120mph

    Look the new Accord is a great car and all, but it's kind of an odd car to take to Lightning Lap don't you think? Still, did alright for what is though.

    2019 Civic Si is faster. Has a LSD and 1 more HP per pound. It's a drivers race but It should always be faster.

    Ha ha ha, the 2019 VW GLI beat it by over 7 seconds.

    It's a family sedan....98% of the buyers could give a rats ass about this thing going around a track...seems pointless

      Yet there’s not many comments like yours from idiots other than yourself. What’s pointless really is your negativity.

    I'm pretty sure this is going to be the slowest car this year. The BRZ beat this by four seconds with almost 50 less horsepower, and the 4-banger Camaro with 275 whooped dat azz by 10, or 14 seconds faster than this turdwagon of a 'sport' sedan.

      I mean, for a big FWD family car with all-season tires, this time isn't half bad. I mean, hell, it's within spitting distance of a Dodge Charger police package car.
      But yeah it's definitely the slowest.

      Lol a 1LE camaro beat a accord, no way, did you figure that out all by yourself? Wow

      @Phantom096 5 років тому +1

      Homer Sapienne This is the slow one. The 2.0T 10 speed automatic Sport is the fastest Accord. With sticky tires you would think an F1 driver is driving it.

      From the main article...
      the Accord turned an astounding 3:18.4. That’s 1.3 seconds quicker than a 2017 Subaru BRZ Performance Package
