Jen Sincero is a #1 New York Times bestselling author, success coach, and motivational cattle prod who’s helped countless people transform their personal and professional lives via her products, speaking engagements, newsletters, seminars, and books.
Her #1 New York Times bestseller, You Are a Badass®: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life (2013), spent over 4 years on the NY Times bestseller list, has sold over 3 million copies, is available in over 35 languages, and continues to grow in popularity around the globe. Her follow-ups, You Are a Badass® at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth (2017), also a NY Times bestseller, and You Are a Badass® Every Day (2018), and Badass Habits (2020) are written with the same signature sass, down-to-earth humor and blunt practicality that made You Are a Badass® an indomitable bestseller and Jen a celebrated voice in the world of self-development.
Based on her own transformation, from a frustrated 40-year-old living in a converted garage watching tumbleweeds blow through her empty bank account, to a successful business owner traveling the world in style, You Are a Badass® at Making Money is a testament to the fact that, in Jen’s words, “If my broke-ass can get rich, you can too.”
As a highly sought-after speaker, Jen has shared her signature brand of motivational comedy with everyone from women entrepreneurs to multi-national corporations to non-profits to educational institutions to her mom’s book group. In 2011, she sold most of her possessions and spent the next three years running her business from all corners of the globe, writing, speaking, coaching, and encouraging people to live lives of unbridled awesomeness.
en and her work have appeared in a variety of media outlets including the New York Times, The Dr. Oz Show, Oprah Magazine, Success Magazine/Radio, Money Magazine, Comedy Central, Forbes, Fast Company, Bloomberg, Interview, Cosmo and The Howard Stern Show. Her other books include the semi-autobiographical novel, Don’t Sleep With Your Drummer (2002) and The Straight Girl’s Guide to Sleeping With Chicks (2005).
Jen is both hilarious and incredibly wise - I know this interview will inspire you to realize you’re a badass with unlimited potential.

7:03: "I was done being broke and I just wasn't available for it anymore" - interesting and illuminating choice of expression. She "wasn't available" to be broke - meaning, she wasn't giving it any more her energy. Excellent example of deliberately not thinking (or obsessing or worrying, etc) about things we don't want, which is a waste of our creative energy to put toward what we DO want.

Some great examples on the way she shifted her mindset and she grew in consciousness. Personnally, I am not a fan of the statement "you have to do the work" as it can sound that we have to fight and struggle and push. There are so many different ways to reach our goals and for some people tapping into our power is to learn to surrender and get in touch with a higher source that will guide us. We never makes "mistakes" per se, we learn and life is always behind us. And ALL her journey contribued to where she is now. It is a day-to day process and each of us can own its story and decide what is most important in the moment. If she had reach this state 10 years earlier, she would not have learned so much about herself. Life is not here against us. Any resistance gives us the opportunity to grow and raise our consciousness and get to know oneself better, and becoming our best friend, having compassion towards oneself.

Maybe change the word 'work' to 'process'
Cuz isn't that the work she's referring to?
I think maybe it was named work because it's deliberate action and it's challenging but we realize it's a necessary process we're choosing to go thru in order to progress. Some people live like they're in the movie "Groundhog Day."
(He had to work to get to a different day.)

The sequence/order of the first topic you discussed: Thoughts - Belief - Words - Actions
All these - even what these are - are very different in different people - culturally and micro-culturally even in families.
For me, because I think in an abstract, visual way, thoughts usually came first, underneath words. It wasn't until I put my thoughts into words that I knew what my beliefs were. For me, it was thoughts-words-belief - actions.
I discovered - there's another important feature: Movement - in the action category.
I've found that changing things for myself on merely a physical level, on the level of my own physical mannerisms - this purely "physical" change powerfully influenced my words and then my thinking ...and only later did I realize my fundamental values were shifting.
    so: Movement/Action - Thinking - Words - Beliefs

Believes come from the thoughts we have over & over again….
We will always find prove of our own beliefs because it’s the vibration we put out!
    Like magnets!
    Thoughts are seeds
    Feels are the nutrients
    Beliefs are the full blossom.
Change your mindset it changes your beliefs.
You also feel like you have known it all along but it took you getting to a certain vibration for you to see, except, the revealing of it!
