Vogue has dispatched contributing editor Alexa Chung to investigate the state of fashion today in her series The Future of Fashion. no one will ever do this better than alexa, she has the intellectual capacity and humour to make it entertaining for us who don't necessarily know anything about what the hell they're talking about, gotta give props to that
I think there's something seriously wrong with the modelling/fashion industry, / Vogue's priorities if they assess the most popular thing in Modelling/Media right now as being Brooklyn Beckham and Kendall Jenner. Basically rich people's kids? Thats what you choose to expose and shed light on through your massive platform. Whats trending and hip? To be honest I feel more like that kind of stuff is shoved onto us and percieved to be popular than actually being popular.
that's mainstream magazines for you, they feed you and you feed them back with money.
i think that's their reaction to the sudden advent of so much information and statistics, but eventually they'll have to fall back onto real stories that matter when public boredom about the perfect life of perfect rich kids set in eventually
I don't think we can say it's forced on to us. The reason that we get these things on magazine is because it's what people pay for. If it didn't make the money they wouldn't do it. They do what makes the money.

I'd say I speak for many people in saying that I really appreciate the approach you guys have taken with this series; it's informative, somewhat casual, not scarily intimidating in the slightest and just purely inspirational. Loving it!
MORE!! We want more. What about a day in the life of the editor in chief? Or the art director?
Could a series be made about classic and contemporary Parisian fashion? Maybe featuring the original fashion icons like Catherine Deneuve and Jane Birkin, but also exploring modern heroines like Jeanne Damas and Caroline de Maigret.
I would love to see that too.

This is wonderful! No wonder the Creative Director role is so difficult to define. They are like the glue that holds it all together, working behind the scenes. If they are doing their job well, you don't get to see them.

She has a very masculine voice in my opinion, I think her and Harry’s voice are pretty similar haha like she’s the female voice Harry would have if he was a female.

LOVE this series, always learning something new! Definitely understand Miss Vogue (Naomi) when she talks about working and interning. 7 days a week can definitely exhaust the body & mind, but if you enjoy what your doing; never really feels like work.
Really enjoyable. Alexa Chung has a great way of keeping you interested and it is great to actually see inside the offices and hear from the staff. More of this please Vogue.

Very cool, thank you! I think it would be interesting to know about the process of finding, making and ordering the cloth/textile. It's one of the most important parts of the final product, and probably quiet a hard one to find the right supplier. Maybe there are some tips that simplify this process? Thank you!

I loved the focus on being an art director and the 'pre-requisites' for that job. This video really opened my eyes to that certain field of work and I am really keen to potentially becoming one!! ps. I much prefer the concept of physically holding a magazine ... it just feels a lot more meaningful to own a magazine in its entirety rather than viewing it on a screen
