Great work Matt! This hits home for me. As a kid I was always fascinated by how army bombs and guns were becoming fancier and more sophisticated with electronics. Now I could care less about those things. The coolest kayak motor ever made is where its at for me =D I worked on several BLDC designs with variable speed control using a PID approach. Is your design using an IMU with GPS integrated on the same chip?
Hey Stan! That's so cool! Yes, we will be moving towards IMU and GPS, which are all integrated; right now, they are separate boards, but just while we prototype.
The ability to charge the battery from solar while underway, with GPS will be the most fantastic setup!! This paired with and Angus Rowcruiser will make for the most amazing coastal camping cruiser set up imaginable.
We don’t have the exact timeline yet, but once we submit designs to PCB manufacture, we will know more. But if you haven’t already secured a PacMotor for yourself, it helps us a lot and it’s super fun with just the joystick while GPS is being designed.
Genius 👏🏻
Awesome! Can’t wait for the upgrade!!!

Very Good Jobs.
Thank you for the support!
Great job man keep up the good work, can’t wait!! Hopefully a solar set up is coming soon

Great! When can we expect that to be out?

Look like a cool motor. Does the motor have spot lock?
Yes, we will be adding a spot lock as well! I am first working on GPS waypoint navigation, but Spot-Lock will use the same technology.
Well that was fast Matt love to see it and can't wait to get it on my pac motor
Interesting. Any discounts? Where can I learn more?
Yes we are offering discounts at pacmotor.com please visit to learn more
