That is awesome. I might would try strapping it in right in front of the seat under my legs and that might solve the angle problem (not sure how much that would interfere with paddling though). Or extend it straight and paddle with it on full blast! The possibilities are endless😂
As someone who has a PacMotor I can kinda curious about this idea. It would absolutely make it easier to access the arms. I think it would clear my legs no problem.
Would be great if you can mount the PAC motor to the gear tracks instead of using the mounting straps. Most kayaks now these days come with front & rear gear tracks.
@@elvisrocks2184 did you come up with that idea yourself, or is there a video that you followed on here somewhere? im torn between this and the newport nk180
Hey Dave, I prefer the the rear mount. The demo here was just to show was it possible but Its nice to have the motors in reaching distance behind the seat and out of the way from other gear or your feet and legs. Also, the control from the motors in the mid to back seems more natural when navigating.
Fantastico..!! Ma un motore deve girare all'incontrario dell'altro ?
They need to allow those brackets to pivot for front OR rear mounting.

Hey, that's a good idea! I should test that out. It would also make it super easy super to access the motors right under the seat!

Most *fishing* kayaks...
100% this. i dont like the strap mount
I do like this idea! We are planning to do this hopefully soon but others have been working on hacks to do this as is
@@PacMotor done this already using rubber lined u clamps which fit perfectly in the gear tracks..

That is super cool!!
this looks awesome! I have that same kayak im rigging up for fishing
I would like to see a surface drive version
you are thinking of a golf cart! :)
Did you happen to check MPH while on the lifetime? Curious to know what king of top speed could be reached in that yak.
Why not make a mount that goes into tracking. I would be interested then
Does it have cruse control or do you have to keep the thumb stick forward to keep moving
Yep, it does. You hold the joystick at the speed you desire and press down on the cruise control button to lock to that speed.
Really, really cool!
Awesome
Matt, do u prefer the front mount or rear mount?

Show this on a hobie already
