Sick build, youre the first other e46 ive seen on yt with a trim stickerbomb lol. Im considering doing a cx kit for my m52tu, do you have any issues so far with the top mount and the turbo heating up messing up valve cover gasket, paint etc? And how hard was the downpiping?
yeah cxracing manifold cracked right along the weld for cylinder 6, had it tig welded back up, also the entire manifold had warped seriously bad was like a banana so i had gotten it resurfaced on a millingmachine too, never had a problem w the valve cover stuff except i had to trim a piece off the valve cover where the old wire clips for o2s were, no problem w the paint, does slightly touch the hood on the cold side of turbo so i have installed hood risers, dow pipe install is a little bit of a pain but if you’ve installed the manifold on this car you can do the dow pipe easy, the manifold is designed in a shitty way for install so that you have to start some of the nuts with the manifold at the end of the studs and tighten them as you push the manifold further down on the studs
@@napsE46 from my perspective it’s not that you necessarily need to it’s just better to because the stock one isn’t made for boost also there is better flowing versions like the m50 intake manifold for example
I would strongly recommend the m50 or m52b28 manifold. Not much difference in power really. But its wayyyy more simple and more compact. It makes life easy when stuff breaks.
@@elijaah81 i have one already lol, just need to save up some money to get the stuff to swap it in, also wanted to do the port match while i was doing it to get as much power as i could out of it
not bad if the wastegate stuff is setup right, will build very quickly and power comes in very strong, most of the vids except newer ones the spool is slow cuz my vaccum lines had holes and shit in them because of the heat from the manifold making them weak and blowing out
i think its like 1 less, used to be like 21mpg now its around 20, i also drive like a crazy person and purposely made my tune a tad rich for safety @@Garrywin09
@@napsE46 really ? Insane. That was my main concern bc even now as a daily with stock engine MPG is ass. If making more power doesn’t affect it like 10-15mpg then I think it’s worth it. Besides cosmetic how much would you say it cost to tune turbo headers etc?

What kind of piping do you have Intercooler like 2 inches or 3 inches
Is that stock b25 air intake manifold? You didn't upgrade for boost how is that holding up? Nice build btw.
yeah, never had a problem, idk why everyone says u need to upgrade it for boost it is completely fine, just get rid of the stock ccv and it’s good
