it’s not reliable budget build anymore when swapping b30 with turbo setup and destroy it in first couple months. Bottom end with 89mm stroke isn’t as strong motor with stock internals. But whe you go ”all in” and building forged bottom end, big cams etc, then go b30 😉
No there wasn’t forged internals in m52 or m54 exept b28 and b30 crankshaft, I have b25 and it’s with cast cranckshaft but it’s not a problem with just over 500whp, pistons die first and bent connecting rod are just a result from bad tuning or too big torque in low revs

Around 300hp safely, around 410 max if you rebuild with forged parts

@@niko7090 b30 has forged rods and crank, b25 is only cast rods forged crank. worse harmonic issues in b30 but its definitely stronger

@@niko7090 oh nice I’m aiming for about 350 at the wheels . The b30 definitely has forged rods though I have just rebuilt one.
