Have fun unleashing your inner Tarkin!
Who speaking of which would be a really cool dossier if this series is picked up.
The Templin Institute do be honest with you I don't think I could pick they're all pretty damn good so far
Be right back, just gonna watch all of Battlestar real quick.
See you in two weeks!
But what about the droid attack on the Wookiee’s?
Star Wars Explained I rewatched last week cause of space dock
Star Wars Explained like your channel and Battlestar Galactica
That’s the most emotionally draining show I’ve ever watched. It’s god damn amazing
Admiral William Adama - The guy that led humanity through the biggest oof in their history.
Seriously the Cylon Wars made Judgment Day, in the Terminator movies look like a minor oops 🙊
@@richlisola1 Spoiler:
The 13th Tribe did the funni Terminator thing.
Humanity was almost eradicated because a certain guy had a taste for cylonpussy.
Once met Edward J Olmos at a restaurant in England.
I waited until he had finished his dining with family before mustering the courage to ask for his autograph.
He refused outright as he was on a personal outing but he said he was grateful that i was a fan of his and that I enjoyed his portrayal as Adama. He then continued to talk to me for a few minutes as his friends or family were getting ready to leave. His last words to me were "Sometimes you just have to roll that hard 6" and smiled at me as i instantly got the reference.
Didn't get an autograph but was amazing just talking to him.
Did make up for it a few years later when i got an autograph from Richard Hatch *Original Apollo* And Jamie Bamber *Reimagined Apollo* on the same autograph card.
Olmos was also on Season 2 of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD as a high-level SHIELD official trying to rebuild the organization in the aftermath of the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
He didn't give you an autograph but told you he was grateful you're a fan? Wow, i would kinda lose my respect for him by then actually..
I know celebrities wanna have their own personal life and stuff, and i totally get that but Edward J Olmos isn't that big of an actor and the Battlestar Galactica circle is like a family, you would've thought he gladly would have signed you an autograph. The TV-series is a special piece of setting that only few of humans actually watched.
"No I won't give you an autograph, but I will talk to you far longer than an actual autograph would take to sign"
@@ekulzonum depends how you look at it - he could have sign it mechanically and send guy on his way. Instead, he spared some TIME with the guy and put in a joke.
I met him several times at Water Keeper and River Keeper events. He absolutely would not sign autographs at those events either. He only signed them at one event. He was helping raise money for the project and repeatedly used "So say we all!". I appreciated him signing autographs after using his Adama tag to help raise funds.
The man, the myth, the legend himself.
This Dossier was absolutely amazing! I was never into Battlestar Galactica, but hearing about the story of William Adama might make me pick it up. I hope you guys keep doing Dossiers since their is just so many interesting people in fiction and so much we can learn about them.
Its a very good series, definitely worth the watch.
Yes, Caprica had so much potential.
It’s excellent sci-fi with some very well (and poor) written characters. Edwards James-Olmos gives his character enormous presence that’s creates almost intense realism to scenes that need them the most.
In this day and age when the "good guys" are almost as evil as the bad guys in TV shows, Adama was a relief from the current Hollywood formula. He doesn't suddenly change sides or do stuff that has you screaming WTF at the television. The character was definitely someone you could count on and look up to. As a viewer, Adama was one you were never disappointed in. If you watched Star Trek TNG, he had the professionalism of Captain Picard with the badassness of an action hero driven by conviction not unlike John Wick. This dossier clip nails it perfectly. Like the meme says, "Adama, simply walks into Mordor."

Admiral William Joseph Adama, my most beloved Sci-fi Character from TV series.
Great job Templin Institute, you did hell of a job.
No matter what anyone says William Adama is one of the best and skilled commanders in sic-fi out there.
So Say We All
If the old man were in charge of the Rebel Alliance, the Emperor would be dead and the Empire itself completely demolished within weeks. We would only ever know the name Thrawn in some forgotten part of the Imperial Archive.
@@SamnissArandeen unless he got a crash course in Star Wars tech, the force, and a few dozen Ysalamir, I doubt Adama would be capable of defeating the Empire. Palpatine’s Sith unfortunately would be more than capable of countering tactics. Adama is a good leader but he’s not the right person for the Rebel Alliance as a whole. He’d be great if he had Mon Mothma keep him objective, like Rosalin did.
Lets hear it for the old-man~ So say we all.

Quoted after Adm./Cmdr. William "Husker" Adama last Commanding Officer Battlestar Strike Group 75 Capital ship "GALACTICA"
I have great respect for Adama.
And I thought I knew about Adama in Battlestar Galactica.
Their superior research and presentation skills continue to impress.
Patreon here I come.
What's up with the thumbs downs, what do these people want?
SO SAY WE ALL !!!
The only good toaster is a dead toaster.
By the Omnissiah; I can't believe I said that.
Sultan random techpriest?
Fucking necrophil
Sultan I believe you are correct to say that. Artificial Intelligence is technoheresy. And regular Heresy. Remember the Dark Age of Technology, and the Age of Strife that followed as a result of the horrors of living machines. Ave Imperator.
Red dwarf would certainly agree with this.
SO SAY WE ALL!!
.
{So SAID those remaining}
Frack!...... did I say that or just think it?
Dossier might be a bit better than Bestiary. My opinion might be a bit skewed, I've read (and watched) Dune, but never Battlestar Galactica. But I felt that the character analysis of Dossier is more interesting and engaging than Animal inter'Planet'ery Bestiary. It feels like that might be personal prefrence tho', and boy do I ever want more of both! =^_^=
Aleksander Gromsrud Watch Battlestar Galactica from the 2000's. It's a very well done show.
Aleksander Gromsrud If you have Amazon Prime the whole thing is up there. It may still be on Netflix in the US and AU however.
It is not fair to pitch Battlestar and Dune. Bestiray can be good, but there is so little known about the Worms, while Adama's character is explained in a whole series.
Aleksander Gromsrud curously what is you view of adama from someone who hasn't seen the series
Edgy Dad. Watched the old Battlestar Galactica with the tin cylons and the ever moving laser pointer for an eye. Awesome show for its time and I liked how they ended it better than the newer ones.
I can think of few that are as appropriate for a first episode than he. I applaud the choice. Also, "Pilot" episode. I see what you did there ^_^
Adama!!! Legendary man. You earned my Respect mortal.
"If we do not have enough personnel to crew Galatica, I will lead a Raptor assault. Now. Decide."
I believe that fantastic potential can be found in Vice Admiral Preston Jeremiah Cole's character from Halo for a future episode.
I always loved Admiral Adama. One of the best commanders in any TV show. Too bad that the show didn't continue in Caprica because we could have seen more of his development into who he was.
It's would have been good to see how his character development would be in the series of capirica. I too would have loved to seen that.
Thank THE LORD 🙏for cable ! WHERE SCI-FI LIVES FOREVER .,...
Both Pilots so far have been absolutely amazing. In all honesty, I would say that while the community with pick one, keep the other 3 in reserve and don't discard them. You guys do amazing work and I hope one day all these pilots will become a part of the Institute's lineup
Gotta love Adama, he the kind of commanding officer that all military officers should aspire to and one that any soldier would follow into hell and back
Rico, Starship Troopers
Teal'c, Stargate
Kirk, Star Trek
etc....
*(Book) Juan "Johnny" Rico, Starship Troopers
Grand Admiral Thrawn
Who’s b5 and Star Wars
Love it! Love it! Love it!
This nearly brought tears to my eyes. Adama is one of my favorite characters.
Four people have no idea what the "Adama Maneuver" is. So Say We All.
Marc Schubert which one, the in-atmo Jump or letting the best tactical asset your entire frakkin species has get scuttle-fucked over your old man's petty sentiment?
Sean D.G the in atmo jump to New Caprica of course. And if your referring to the Pegasus how is that The Old Man's fault when it was Lee who disobeyed a direct order and combat jumped it into the fray?
The old man was right to go against Cain. Her action in striping civilian ships, killing those who question illegal orders,Nullifiy her as having any authority over the 12 colonies.
That was one of the coolest maneuvers EVER .OMG ! The Adama maneuver
Battlestar Galactica is the best science fiction series on television Edward James Olmos the greatest Admiral ever
You all are incredible when it comes to bottling up the essence of a thing.
Watching one of your vids manages to capture and immerse me just as the thing you're summarizing used to.
Great work, thanks
Can you make a dossier about general Hammond?
A grand first choice for this pilot episode! Adama is possibly the best commander in sci-fi history.
Wonderful video! I can’t think of a better legendary figure to feature in your new pilot!
I love this ❤ I’m currently rewatching battle star galactica. Adama is truly my favorite character. I cosplay him at conventions.
Creator of the greatest naval maneuver in military scifi!
The Adama maneuver!

Grand Admiral Thrawn from Star Wars and James T. Kirk from Star Trek
Legends Thrawn plz
Jackson Eagle
Hey what about me, capt Keyes, Admiral Preston Cole , or Lord Hood?
Commander John Criton of the Farscape project.
ALL OF THESE NEED TO BE MADE
The old man rocks! I believe a dossier on commander Cain is in order!
Watching this makes me want to re-watch BSG, and build a third Jupiter Class Battlestar model. I got into the hobby of scale models around a year and a half ago--built numerous BSG models for myself, and a buddy who is also a BSG fan. The two previous Galactica's weren't LED lit...this third will be.
If you're still making Battlestar models, perhaps consider modifying the Galactica model to be the Blood and Chrome first war version with full armour belt and the extra armament
Outstanding bio of the main character of my all time favorite series. So Say We All!!
this video brought tears to my eyes... man, do i miss Battlestar Galactica!... So say we all!
I miss this frakking show!
If it wasn’t the Old Man I would not say this. So Say We All.
An aspiring figure that still shows flaws natural to a human. Just wish he kept the mustache.
Olmos gave such a powerful performance in every episode, I loved every second he was on screen. From how he commanded his Battlestar to his provocative speeches, he makes me want to sign up to be a Viper Pilot. So say we all.
A dossier on Grand Admiral Thrawn would be most welcome as a follow-up to this EXCELLENT video....
Love this character... I only wish that I could once become as good commander as he was. Continue please. Nice work!!
One of the best space opera ever. Amazing ending.
I want a dossier on :
akbar from star wars
One of few to be called one hell of a pilot.
A great Character Analysis of Admiral Adama
Absolutely beautiful episode as always keep up the great work.
Would you be able to do a Dossier on the Traitor Warmaster Horus Lupercal?
You will be Pruge for heretical thoughts. Lol not even a big fan of 40k,but I love me some Inquisition. Those battle sisters need a vid!!
yeah so, gona have to re-watch the entire series now.
so say we all.
Ok is it weird that this made me a little teary eyed.
One of the best commander ever existed on screen.
So say we all!
Thank you for this wonderful video. Adama rocks.
Adama has always been my favorite example of good leadership.
I found this bio throughly enjoyable, and informative. Top marks. I think that it would have been interesting if a series depicting all of Adama's life from his late teens transiting into the start of the first Cylon War, through his military and civilian career would have made a good prequel series. Something more flashed out than razor was.
Loved this!!!
I never understood why they called him Husker for being a farm boy when his father was a Caprican Lawyer.
I originally thought it was his voice when the shows aired years ago.
@@skyhawkpilot172 That makes sense
Sometimes nicknames don’t make sense.
General Jack O'neill or Colonel Samantha Carter next please! Your research and narrations are always top notch!
Do all of them please. Seriously you guys rock
A dossier on Admiral Preston Cole Halo Universe
Yes, more Dossier please!
I'm still watching BATTLESTAR GALACTICA IN 2019 . IN A MATTER OF FACT.. IT'S THE BEST SCI-FI EVER. ADMIRAL ADAMA ALWAYS SHOWED SUCH GREAT LEADERSHIP.
One of Humanities very best military leaders in it's darkest hour.
Dossier on me. Or any of my brothers would be appreciated. Guilliman I think deserves one before all of us. Considering how he will single handily save the Imperium.
Oh fuck son!! Its on! Thank you for the video. A candidate for a future video would be the Commander, from the X-COM series
I would love to see you do Captain Benjamin Sisko from Star Trek Deep Space 9.
Bat5hade hell yeah, sisko was the best starfleet captain and DS9 was the best star trek show....why didnt we get a movie.
Do Mal Reynolds next gorramn it!
james ormos performance as commander/admiral adama was absolutely outstanding
Of all the people you could pick for the pilot, William Adama. Members of the Templin Institute, to partially quote George Patton, I salute you magnificent freaks! Well Done!
Admiral Hackett from Mass effect!
There's one major problem guys; you do these too well:) Two new features and I like both a lot. It will be a real trial to choose. Keep up the excellent work.
Loving this as well. Can all of these variants become shows? They are all amazing....
Excelent video. Keep up the good work. And who better to kick off the new series than Wiliam Adama. If possible I would love to see a similar video on Saul Tigh or Baltar for that matter...
Great dossier even though ive never really looked into BSG, looking forward to more! Perhaps dossier's of the CO's in Star Trek like Picard.
Hell yes!!! Would love to see one on Naked Snake aka Big Boss from MGS3/Peace Walker/MGSV
I dunno if you guys do this but an analytical report on the Adama Maneuver would be pretty dope!
For the next video in this lineup, perhaps you could cover the leader of the Brotherhood of Nod himself, Kane.
KANE LIVES!!!
What an incredible show.
Beautiful!
Right off the bat, Humanity is on the run.
The mobile infantry, starship troopers!!! Love the content guys keep it up
our world needs an admiral adama
Awsome ! Keep it up
Laura Roslin please!
Cpt_Carmal yes! One of the few woman presidents in fiction and by far the best
Adama had so much charisma
Excellent!
More more more template Institute is the best I will definitely be sharing and subscribing hell yeah
These new series are great please do the members of SG1 you are great 👍
Ugh, I loved BSG so much, thank you for doing this!
Also super cool to see you're a vancouverite as well! :P
Fantastic!
This is great. Wonderful job.
Awesome video about a awesome man,
Kirk(Prime timeline), Picard and Sisko from Star Trek. Jack O'Neill from Stargate.
Dossier is amazing
Adama would still have been a child when the Cylon War broke out. A teenager at most. The War itself lasted almost 10 years. And Adama himself didn't come on active duty until the last year of it.
This is good. Really good.
What are these corners at the edge of the video? Must be some new Caprican design.
I would be interested to see one of these on Elwin Ransom from CS Lewis's the Space Trilogy.
Gee, I wonder which series is going to win. The one that gave us a breathtaking look at a massive universe (Warhammer 40k) or the one that talked about a farm boy who became a general that one time.
Real tough choice there.
damnit
The greatest character I've ever seen
It would be an honour to serve under him.
