Glock 19 since I’ve been told that the 40 cal Glocks can cause feeding issues when using conversion barrels for the 9mm.

I've had zero feeding issues with the conversion barrel. I can understand the argument though. The ejector is unpredictable as far as where the spent cartridge will land. That's been my only issue. Thanks for watching though. Stay safe out there brother.

You are absolutely right. Also the most common ammo is 9mm. The Glock 19 is the most common handgun in the whole planet at this point.

Thank you so much for this video. I had no idea these things could be changed out like this . My wife will not like you though because now I am compelled to buy barrels a 22 cal. slide & barrel plus more ammo.

Great music choices. I subscribed. I'm simple. G 19 mk18, mk12. And a Christensen arms elr 7mm and a 22 ruger wrangler. I feel it covers everything I need. I do appreciate a 40cal. Lived in the Poconos for a bit and they will be enough for black bear

It sounds like you have something for any situation. I can respect that you have chosen quality over quantity.I have wondered if the .40 would be enough for dangerous animals. I recently upgraded to an M&P 2.0 in 10mm. I heard that it will put down just about anything with the right ammunition. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the support.

@Ron Blackstock indeed. Yes 40cal with the right bullet is sufficient 10mm with Hardcast pills are superb. I just did the one at a time method over a long period of time. But at 40 I ha e all the guns I ever wanted. I can honestly say I probably won't purchase any more.

    Hey Ron,
I just found your channel and subscribed. Great content. Already watched all your shorts. Now working on your videos. Just getting back into handguns and thought "why not try something new and hotter, given that society is going to hell in a handbasket?" The last few years, all the riots, and looters, cops not responding to calls, hate crimes rising...
Anyway, 10mm is a bit pricey. And .357 sig is kind of hard to find. What do you practice with for cheap range ammo? But why did you pick .40 over the 10mm since you have both? Couldn't you get conversions for the .40 and .357 sig and use them in the Smith and Wesson or Glock 10mm? Wouldn't the frames and slides be beefed up to take the higher pressure? And doesn't having a 10mm give you even more choices?
Anyway, I'm just playing devil's advocate. I shoot 9mm mostly cause it's cheaper and I stocked up years ago, but now I am thinking I should have gone heavier/bigger caliber.
What was your thought process? Why upgrade from .40 to 10mm?
    Thanks again.
Stay Safe. Be Well. GOD BLESS.

The encouragement means a lot to me. I really appreciate it. I lose faith sometimes and it's really great to hear that you enjoy the channel. If you make it to my earliest videos I apologize in advance. I didn't know how to edit and I would just start recording and let whatever happened stay in the video. My earliest stuff is pretty terrible but I leave it up. Maybe one day I'll take it down but for now everything is still on UA-cam.
As far as I know, there's only a .40 s&w conversion barrel for the 10mm 2.0. I got it for a heavy self defense round that could stop any threat. I carry it everyday. It carries a lot easier than the glock did too. This scenario was about shtf though. I knew the .40 was almost as powerful as the 10mm and I knew it was capable of converting to several ammo types where the 10mm can only shoot 2. Glock 22 is also one of the most popular duty weapons of all time so finding parts would be a lot easier. Magazines too.
Anyway, I could go on forever. Thanks again for the support. Stay safe and God bless.

      @@RonBlackstock Hey Ron,
Thanks for your prompt reply. First of all, I want to say, don't worry about your "imperfect" videos. I for one, don't even have the skills to put together a video, I don't have enough firearms experience or training to have an opinion on best caliber, and don't even have any real knowledge about different platforms or models. I come to UA-cam to research and ask questions. So thanks for your service in posting your videos and content creation. It takes a bit of courage to put yourself in front of people to be critically picked apart and analyzed.
I am 53 next month, but have strength issues and am not in the best of health.
I was thinking that a 10mm would probably be a bit much for me because that's what I thought when I started taking firearms classes and training. I had also tried .357 mag., .40, and .44 spl./mag.
I settled on 9mm and can maintain a 10 shot fist size group at 7yards and felt that was adequate.
So, right now, I am kind of conflicted. I figure I can manage one single well aimed shot of 10mm and probably 2 or 3 out of 10 at 7 yards. But then that mall shooting occurred and the young man, Mr. Dickens, made 8 out of 10 shots on the shooter at 40 yards. I don't even have to go to the range to know I can't do that with a 9mm or above. My vision sucks. I don't shoot .22 air rifles past 30 yards. So it got me thinking that either I should go with a flatter, less recoiling round like a .22 lr, .22 mag., .32 acp., .380., 38 spl., .22 TCM, or a 5.7x28, and practice only head shots. So I've been watching a lot of versus videos on. 22 mag, .22 TCM, and 5.7x28 and those platforms or the larger calibers, 10mm or .44 spl/.44mag. and just hope that the first shot connects. The smaller rounds are attractive to me because I figure I will be more accurate and I will practice more because they are cheaper.
But the problem is, they won't really stop or end an attacker. Their penetration is not great and make very little difference on ballistic vests. The bigger calibers are more convincing even if they don't penetrate. I've seen metal paint cans that were "wearing" body armour get dented even though the rounds didn't penetrate the vests. I don't go out often, but I know if I conceal carry, I would like to have smaller concealable guns and more rounds. A Ruger LCP MAX was my original choice before the Dickens incident.
What is your opinion? Bigger more devastating caliber, or smaller flatter shooting caliber?
      Thanks again.
Stay Safe. Be Well. God Bless.

Here is my opinion on the caliber that a person should carry. The largest caliber that you can shoot accurately. I think of it this way. No matter where you hit someone with a good defensive 10mm they aren't going to be in very good condition to continue attacking you. There's a handful of different ammunition you could try with 9mm also. I did a short on a 9mm cartridge that travels 2000 fps. That can go through body armor. There's been video's proving that it can. I believe 9mm can be extremely effective for personal defense. The right ammunition makes all the difference. Fort Scott also makes a 9mm that tumbles on impact. That should put down an attacker for sure. Whatever you decide I wish you the best. Stay safe out there and thank you again for watching.
