This show did a great job on capturing the essence of the mind of a psychopath. How joe didn’t think of himself as a psychopath. He didn’t think he was doing anything wrong. He thought he was protecting beck. He was even suspecting peach of stalking beck. He was so unaware of how wrong his actions were. The lengths he went to protect beck. Killing all of those people. That along with a fantastic performance from penn badgley made this an incredible watch
the worst thing is how nonchalant he is with moving on after. Like "oopsi, ill try better next time :)"
Dan Dolya and how he’s trying to change without recognizing how wrong he was about everything. His thoughts are really unattractive how does anyone still find this character sexy.
On his defense, Peach was stalking and possesive over Beck tho. But yeah other than that are true.
I saw his character differently. But I do agree on the part that he didn’t realize he’s a psychopath tho

@Morgan T. @Tara Allison Well yeah, they’re a genius for creating the plot and characters, and of course the immense effort that goes into writing two novels! But I think we should also commend the show creators for the amazing directing, script-writing, casting, cinematography, soundtrack, etc. And also for adding in the three neighbours, as that definitely added a LOT to the plot! Let’s remember as much effort is put into making TV shows as into writing books. Often much more.

Season one was by far the best season, I feel like the character were more likeable and I like the New York scene much better.
as soon as i saw season 2 is in LA i knew it wouldn’t live up to season 1 😭

Agree, I prefer nyc's scenery and I feel like season 1 was more dynamic? Season 2 was kind of slower and nothing much happened. It seemed like joe wasn't as obsessed with love as he was with beck. He only ever killed 2 people and both of them were bad characters so it didn't really paint him in bad light. He was also super friendly with the other characters like ellie, delilah, forty and love's friends while he hated everyone beck would talk to. He was way more obsessive and scary in season 1 which made it more interesting to me
I feel like casting Penn Badgley was the best thing Netflix has ever done

@@claire1391 Paco and his family is a representation of Joe's subconscious thoughts and actions. For example, when Joe got with Minty life was smooth for both Paco and Joe. The moment Joe got back with Beck, Ron came back as well and both of their lives became chaotic again. When Joe kills Ron and Paco witnesses it, Joe tells Paco that they will put it in their past as if nothing ever happened. This is also how Joe rationalized killing Beck. Basically Paco=Joe, Ron=Beck. Rewatch it and you will see what I'm talking about!

I've never been so inticised to root for a serial killer, the soothing narration drags you in, makes you feel sorry for the character and make excuses for him 🤦🏾♀️🤣what an amazing series...one thing though I didn't get the Dan Brown references is he a terrible author?

I had a hard time seeing Beck as believable most of the time. Maybe the role was miscast, as it seems more focus was on her being pretty and girlie, and smiling too much, more than much emotional depth coming through. But in the last episode the actress was spectacular.

I’m rewatching season 1 and I am currently on episode 9 and I completely forgot that in this episode he has a nightmare about HIM BEING TRAPPED IN A CAGE WHILE CANDANCE IS OUTSIDE STARING AT HIM AND TAUNTING HIM.......And in season 2 episode 9....that exact nightmare becomes reality and it’s shown when Candace traps Joe in the cage he has at that storage place looks. THIS IS PRETTY COOL AND CRAZY!!! 🥴🧐

Holy shit, season 2 was FANTASTIC, maybe even more as season 1, but they're both spectacular! And that ending, WOW, just PERFECT! And poor Candace, all she wanted was to expose Joe/Will, little did she know that she stumbled upon someone just as him this time around. 😅 I'm just kidding, I was so glad when Love turned out the way she did, I so hoped the girl was gonna turn out like she did this time, I was already hoping for that in season 1, as I thought Beck was even hotter, but as it turns out Joe and Love really were soulmates, a match made in hell, lol.
But then last scene...WOW! Even though it made me uneasy at first, because I thought Love really deserved Joe, it filled me with a whole other kind of excitement right after! It certainly has one silver lining. Until that scene, and the fact there are only two books, it made me think this is the end for sure, but that ending makes me HOPE we could see more!
Please please tell me they're going off books from now on and that it doesn't end with season 2. Because this show is pretty much my favourite one, I first thought only the 1st episode of season 2 comes out on December 26th, then when I saw it was the whole season, I binge watched it in pretty much 10 straight hours, until 4 am, because I just COULD NOT STOP WATCHING!
This show has SO MUCH potential with Penn Badgley being at the center of it, I could watch a new season with different girl every single day! Just make 10 more seasons please, I beg of you, Netflix!
