Got a Vanuatu and I think the San Martin, despite obvious design cues, is a unique looking piece.

Bought this a yr ago absolutely love it....San Martins fit n finish is excellent....Mine luckily does have hacking they soon changed out the Miyota Non Hacking for hacking within a Month ...Why they did not just use a NH35 is beyond me on this piece as the difference in movements is pennies...These look awesome on Natos too.. Deffo took inspiration off the Helm Vanuatu... As far as im aware im still on waiting list for a Vanuatu ...Great Review....

I like that San Martin. Not really concerned about design inspiration on ANY watch. Over the years everyone copied everyone. Look at the Grand Seiko SBGH289, or the Davosa Ternos, Orient Ray II, the Steinhart Ocean one, etc, etc, etc.... If it looks good, and built good enough for the money, Thats fine. It’s a copy of a copy-the Vanuatu is heavily influenced by Sinn! Dig the watch 😎!

Influenced yes but the Vanuatu has it's own distinct personality and looks significantly different to Sinn's offerings. Stick a black dial on the San Martin and it's a straight up copy.
