I now keep a spreadsheet on my wigs, where I put a picture, all the details (cost, hair type, style name, cap type, brand, style type, colour name or code). I also put some comments in about whether I like it, would I purchase it again, thoughts on colour, durability, etc. This helps, especially as I have about 40 wigs (I actually have a spare bedroom fitted out as a wig room/dressing room

I have teeny tiny closets that are packed full of clothes plus I tend to rifle around in them kinda wildly... so I don't think I can put my wigs in there. They wouldn't survive that kinda climate lol. At this time I only have two wigs that I cycle between, so I keep them on those kinda Amazon thingies but the kind with a foot instead of a hanger, and I stand then on one of my living room tables. That's also where they get to dry after a wash. Because it's only two wigs, it's okay for me to keep them on a table. It doesn't take a lot of space and they are safe from getting damaged there, because I live alone and don't have pets.
I additionally have a block head with one those clamps you stick to a table. It's the sturdy, fabric covered type, not styrofoam. Although I doubt it's real cork. I also have a few old, synthetic wigs that I literally just keep tossed into a bag in a closet. I wouldn't do that if was wigs I actually cared about though!
I'm allergic to the synthetic fibres, so I really can't wear such wigs much. (I get contact allergy from many types of plastic.) I also don't like how warm and heavy they are. The two I actually use are human hair. I only keep the synthetic ones around as emergency wigs. On that rare occasion I just wash it and fix it up and if it still looks bad, wear it with a hat or bandana. I do get though that wig storing is much easier when you don't have a lot of them.

I love your channel. I recently bought some cheap Temu wigs and an Amazon wig just for fun colors. I keep my head shaved in a very short fade due to nerve damage and the growing process of my own hair actually hurts. Plus, I want to dye my hair with different colors and with wigs, I can just cuange the color.

Congrats! Having babies like this (close together) is the best way though! I think it’s the better sibling dynamic plus your body is already ready and your habits are set for it so why not! You’ll also have all those love bombing hormones in your body while your first hits the terrible twos 😂

i saw your video about hair loss from a year ago. And I also saw a video caption that said how you recovered from the diseases but i see you still wear wigs, does that mean your hair never recovered?. i am so distraught and hopeless due to my thyroid disease and my hair is so thin I am barely able to hide it.
is there no hope of it growing back? Do I need to accept that I will eventually have to start wearing wigs?
Hi there :) I continue to wear wigs because they are more convenient than wearing my own hair, they look better, and I’ve fallen in love with them. Since wearing wigs, I’ve been able to grow my own hair back a little, but the texture of my hair is not how it used to be. It still looks and feels like “Graves Disease hair.”
I am the biggest fan of wigs and I always say even if my hair came back to being like it once was, I would STILL wear wigs. Not only do they keep my hair healthy, but now I get compliments all the time for having amazing hair.
I can’t say what your hair will do. I believe everyone’s experience and how their hair reacts to Graves Disease will be different, but I hope that in time you won’t feel distraught about the loss of your hair. It is my hope for you that you too will find a love for alternative hair and come to the point where it no longer matters whether your hair comes back or not. Although I do hope that your hair does come back to full recovery, there’s no way of me knowing that for sure as mine has definitely not come back the same. But I am totally OK with that for myself at this point. ❤️ wishing you all the best xo

I was just looking for hope and didn’t think about that while typing my comment. naturally I am attached to my own hair but I hope that if I cannot have it back, I will become just as at peace with a wig as you are. @@WigsWithSteph the main reason it’s so upsetting I didn’t say, I would never be able to afford a wig that looks realistic. do you know any websites I can look at that would be affordable but look nice still?
