Awesome! After 3 years of using maya + zbrush pipeline i think it was the best combo. but now im really wanna try plasticity, it doesn't look so hard and it has very huge potential! Thanks for the great video
I really need to find good learning material for Plasticity. I feel so lost with it, I can't even figure out why you do half the things in this video, like basically finish the shape then start deleting all of it and redoing it piece by piece
thank you for this valuable insight on how to approach tricky shapes. but, it seems that Plasticity requires a lot of manual cleanup. namely, at 5:53, when joining two halves and requiring cutting out the area around the seam completely and reworking smooth transition between them... ironically, was just having the same problem with joining two halves of Iron Man helmet yesterday, and couldn't figure it out how to do it painlessly, lol. will try this method out ;)
why did you pipe only halfway down that edge loop? *referring to the edge loop that runs down the length of the grip *i was assuming to have surface continuity you would pipe all the way till the end?
Using a beveled solid to create continuity between 2 sheets was awesome!!!
Always impressed by the interface design and your modeling put together. Love those continuity widgets!

16:52 This is a brilliant solution. I'm adding it to my arsenal!
Very nice to watch the maestro at work - Thank you KS.
Beautiful techniques, as always.
Can I be like you in modeling one day.. What should I do to look like you?

When you have the new Plasticity r24 studio version you can try this xNURBS. Note Surfacing is one of the hardest things in CAD.
amazing how the patch tool had no problem with that top area :D
Which mouse shortcut set are you using in Plasticity? This would enable a greater understanding of your key presses.

You are a master !!!
ey, how you feel this software for game ready hard surface? or is it only for printing
It is 100% geared for making game assets. For printing it is lacking.
@@chrisf8584lacking for printing how?

It's a loft press L
Thank you so much for this analysis. This is what I was really looking for.
This video was exactly what I was looking for--unfortunately, I can't follow what you're doing well enough for it to be useful to me.
