@elfredawright How dumb are you? How Every culture has their culture-specific foods and I’m telling you this as a white person. Think before you speak next time.
I made lentil tortillas yesterday and they blew my mind. When you soak them, they sponge up, and when you let them rest after blending, it settles into a soft creme and you don't need oil to toast the tortillas on a pan because they are like seeds, they just toast and naturally peel off the hot surface. It changed the game for me. I also realized you can make bread from lentils, and now I've found burgers. I've been mostly vegetarian for 5 years now but this is definitely going to change my life for the better. Exciting times!
Hey! Can you share the bread recipe. I really dont like store bought GF bread because of all the additives. Really want to make one. Tried buckwheat unsuccessfully, chickpea was very heavy and was again and quinoa just didnt taste nice.
@@vanshikachats i've been baking one from a recipe that's 280g flour, 190ml lukewarm water, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsps dry yeast, 1 tbsp sugar, and 4 tbsp oil. First you mix the water with the salt, dry yeast and sugar, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Then you add the oil and the flour, and you mix/knead for a few minutes, then let it rest for 90 minutes. You knead a bit again, let it rest again for 30 minutes and then you can bake it at 220°C for 15 to 40 min, depending on your oven. I'm not baking the entire dough together, i'm dividing it and making, like, 5-6 little breads
In Greece we bake them in the oven with some greek extra virgin oil on top. Plus a little bit of feta or kephalograviera on the side and tastes delicious!
In hindi we call this Vada (Bada). Its a fried fritters or patties made from soaked lentils overnight with herbs and spices. Definitely a good source of protein since you chose Masoor daal (red lentils) which is a good source of protein good for blood pressure and good source for fiber.

She just doesn't want to pay money on the kids, she secretly eats meat when she goes out with people, this meal is just to force her kids to grow handicapped
I make something kind of similar. But I add breadcrumbs, an egg, diced onion, garlic salt and worstershire sauce to them. Then fry with more worstershire sauce. Serve on a garlic and cheese toasted bun with mayo, mustard, ketchup, raw onion, tomato, lettuce and dill pickle.
Very similar to parippu wada. We don't put carrots or tomatoes. Also deep fryI love it. We usually eat it as a snack. I'm going to eat it for my main meal 😊 and bake it. I can totally see me eating this few times a week. It's ggrea to see a dietician recommending family food. I get to eat a healthy version of food i love without feeling guilty . I might not add tomato paste, and add little bit ginger
