The BEST tutorial on this! thank you so much! I was able to do what i needed with this video after like 3 hours of trial and error, found this video and boom done! You are a Rockstar!
hmmm thats a weird one. I would double check the font itself and the style and then be sure to check if its set to writing style and not print. You can print them in the writing style so it comes out hollow.
I created a book mark for my daughter, shape= square, sized. Turned white, pulled in a sunflower, text and flattened it all, print out beautifully but would not cut. Can you think of what I missed?
When I try to do a print and cut on my maker I don't have the same icons as you, I cant find where you got the layer attributes options, I have created what I want to print with an outline but it keeps cutting all my words I have printed, do you know how I can stop it cutting my printed image? Thank you
Design space has updated since this video is quite old. Print the cut is now towards the top of the screen where is says fill. You need to make sure you have you image and words flattened to a shape
@@CorinneBlackstone thank you very much, I did see that and clicked on print but I must have missed a step somewhere, will try again, thank you again 😊
Very new to Crafting and this is my first attempt at invitations. Your instructions were good and I was able to figure out what the "register marks" are. The problem I am having is that my cardstock is silver and the Cricut is not finding the register marks. The error I am getting says to be sure I am using white paper but I would like to use the silver. Can you tell me what I would need to adjust? I would appreciate any help.
your only real option is to print it on white paper and then cut out the registration marks from the white paper and tape it to the silver. this does not always work however. Sadly the Explore is only made to print and cut on the white paper.
I have the Explorer air 2 and am trying to make invitations but when I try to change the pattern on my shape it doesn't give me the options I see it gives you. Doesn't even gibe me that little circle or cut simple you have on the right hand side. Do you know what im doing wrong? My printer is hooked up.
Great video! It helped me to learn how to use my Cricut. For some reason I can’t change the text and image to just print. My design space temple does not show the scissors icon, but instead has the word and doesn’t allow me to change it to print... any suggestions? I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.
Try draw. I dont have a computer so I've been using my phone for all my projects. So what ever you want printed press draw. Then after that put a box around the the whole project and press attach. That might work
Thank you awesome. I am having trouble with trying to make an envelope with printed image on the envelope, the envelope cuts and the image prints and then it also wants to cut out of where I placed it on the envelope, any suggestions of what I am doing wrong Thank you
Hello great video! You have taught me a lot! I have the Cricut explore 2, your design space looks different from mine. Under duplicate it want allow me to change my words nor photo to print only.
I am trying to make invitations and the black box is not around my design also when I go to print it, it comes out yellow and cant seem to figure it out
This video is very old. Design space now only uses corner registration marks. Your print is yellow likely due to printer issues like clogged lines run some printer maintenance and see if that fixes the issue
Hello I was trying to do earring cards to print and cut but I am not able to change the text to print only. Is this option only available through design spaces access membership? Thank you
Please help!! Every single time, no matter what I try, when I print & cut with text that I did, it cuts each individual letter instead of just the outline. I have flattened, attached, everything I can think of. I have watched so many videos. I do not know what I am doing wrong!
Can you do this with an image and adding words with printable iron on for tshirts, I can't find where you said change the words to print....when I did it, it cut the words out.
@@tammieanderson2084 you make it white if you don’t want it to be colored and flatten your images and text to the shape it’s all explained in the video.
@@CorinneBlackstone I am sorry for all of the questions I am just new to this and a bit confused. I added the square, inserted the image and the words and I flattened it. Now when it prints is it going to cut around just the image or will it include the white space in the background from the square as well? I guess I can test to see but trying to make sure I am doing it right.
You would have to make the background design brown and the words white. Then the printer will print the brown area but leave the white area. You would need to do that on white paper
Hello, I have a Cricut explore air 2 & it doesn’t give me the option to print unless I cut first. Is there something I’m doing wrong or need to update??
Corinne Blackstone shoot ok. There’s another video that’s almost exactly like this but she was able to save it as a Jpeg and then sent out to costco but I’m u able to save it as a Jpeg.
Thank you so much for helping me and responding!!! Your video helped a lot. But it was t the one I watched. She did it completely different but I’ll try your way! Once again thank you sooo much!
Corinne Blackstone hi! Similar to this question, I do have a onesie shape behind it and have flattened it already. My explore air 2, cuts the image and then goes to cut each word!!!! Any advice?

I love how this is straight to the point.

Finally a easy and very straight forward tutorial!!!!! Thank you
I am so glad it helped!
Thank you for making this video. Going to try to make my grandson a birthday card. Will watch this a few more times before I attempt it.

Can U please tell me what machine U are using? Thanks!
This is a cricut explore but all the cricut machines except the joy can do this

Very helpful can you add a score line to this project as well???? Just checking...
absolutely. Just make sure you attach it

could be a lighting issue or your black box isn't black enough. print then cut is temperamental

Yes

No up in operations change the text to print it’s the very last option on the menu. The. Attach it to your card

You are not flattening to a shape
This was the comment and suggestion I’ve been looking for for two hours lol
How do you get the option for the text to print or cut? Mine is only showing like it can only cut.
At the top there is a box that says fill above it change no fill to print
Can you do multiple on one sheet if they're small enough? I can't get the register marks so do around each individual one.
Yes you can do multiple on one sheet. It will be one big box aroubd all of them
Can you put it on color card stock and the works and character still show up thank you
You can but the color on the character will be altered.
OK so I could do like a colored background and print it on white card stock right and it will look ok
I have a picture of my dog. Can I just cut only around him and NOT a square around him??
thanks so much! was total lost and didnt wanna ruin my paper
Can you do this with an image and adding words with printable iron on for tshirts, I can't find where you said change the words to print....when I did it, it cut the words out.
Yes but you need to have a solid shape behind it or it’s going to cut the words out be sure to flatten everything to the solid shape

Yep. Just put the dog on design space and nothing else.
