I am ready to throw my entire Cricut away. Print then cut is so unreliable with print then cut. I have Calibrated, used the tape method and I still get the error. Very frustrating.
The best print-then-cut tutorial I've ever seen! Very Clear, easy to understand and follow, covered most common problem you may run into..., I've learned a lot! Thank you, Lauren, love from Canada!
Thank You so much for this video, it was more than I was looking for. I never knew about the additional printing settings that you taught in this video. Thank You again this really blessed me
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! I have been fighting with print and cut for sublimation for so long! You just changed everything for me and I am grateful! Thank you, thank you!!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! My cricut was cutting paper with no problem, but was off by a half inch or better on the glossy sticker paper. Turned the overhead lights off, same cut. Covered the lines with tape, and BAM, it's perfect! Thank you!!
Thank you. I was still a little confused after my first cut and print, but I believe I understand what I'm doing now. I'm glad I watched this lesson before I tried to print and cut!!😊
Oh my gosh, thank you thank you thank you!!!! I was about to throw my Cricut out the window because it could not find the sensor marks. The scotch tape did the trick!
Thanks so much! My machine keeps losing calibration and think it could be the change in lighting. Could you please explain what is fine calibration vs print then cut? Thanks so much.
My cricut was cutting perfectly, now it doesn't want to cut this image out good, I calibrated, now I'm going to try adding bleed, which I usually never do. Hopefully something will work for me because it's for a large order. Thanks for your tips.
Great video...i have another issue. I printed a monster truck and the cut started in the wrong part of the truck...I calibrated my cricut a while back...do i need to calibrate it again? It was aligned on my mat perfectly. So disappointed as this is a wasted page of photo paper. :(
Would you have any tips as to how to get those horizontal lines out from the images? I did all of the printer cleaning prompts that Google recommended. When I take a png from my procreate and use it for my stickers I keep getting those sticker lines. I did a test though and grabbed a design off of cricut one of the ones that’s free on there and it printed fine with that one? I’m a little stuck and pulling out my hair on this one
Why would my image not print with all details? Im missing the texture for the hair in my image. It shows up in CD space but does not print that way. I have my settings on best/photo paper. My png image was vectorized prior to upload with full details included
!!HELP!! so I have not tried these tricks for the calibration. But I don’t know if these will fix my issue.. when I do a print then cut file, the print is fine. And when I do my calibration it’s fine as well. But when I cut the stickers out it is off on some and perfect on others.. like my last print was 20 stickers that I just duplicated 20x. And as the Circuit cuts some are off on cuts and others are perfect.. will the lights off and tape fix this issue?
Hello! Okay I cannot find a video that has a solution for what my explorer air 2 is doing. I calibrated my machine, I printed on a printable vinyl and sent it to my machine but after it scans the lines it goes to the bottom and just makes a bunch of dots then kicks me out of my cricut program all together with my mat stuck in the machine and no lights blinking! What am I doing wrong? I am 100% new to the htv printable and well just print then cut all together. I appreciate the help :)
What if it’s passed calibration 3 X and still won’t cut correctly. I have a large batch of stickers to make for a customer and my maker has cut through the designs of 4 out of 6. What do you do
why wont my cricut allow me to print the same image again since I messed up the 1st one. Also is there a way to change a print then cut to a basic cut? Thank you.
MacBook only printing in black and white not color on print then cut. Prints color on everything else. Prints in color from different computer. Any ideas?
Not on the cricut design space. It's not a spot for a full page sublimation design. I use Google docs when I need a full page design. Cricut design space is only good for for sublimation if ugs under the size that print and cut will allow.
Hello , i don't know why the square to set the stickers keeps getting small , i put the size 6.75 by 9.25 but the square seems small only one time look normal but i tried and looks small even the size is the correct and it keep lagging and i have notice that only with one drawing i upload 😢
I've tried Print Then Cut but the colors always come out really dark. I've tried an Epson and a Canon printer, with matte photo paper setting and best quality print. I've also tried downloading as a PDF then printing, rather than printing straight from Design Space (this method looked slightly better on the Canon but still not what I designed). Any ideas how to fix this?
How do you get the png to download load without it going to print and cut and without it being just a silhouette for basic cut. So the colors can be cut as seperate pieces to layer them
Tried celebration mutable times and still does not work if anything with every calibration it got worse how do u know when print and cut is just buated and won't work any more 😢
I have problem with printing solid black picture in cricut environment. I don’t have this issue when I print it in normal way but when I upload it to cricut it would be printed in grey. Can you help?
Hello, I'm from Brazil and bought a Cricut Explorer 2 two years ago, and it was the biggest regret of my life. I only found out after buying the machine that there was no technical support here in Brazil. From the beginning, our machine couldn't cut circular shapes perfectly. We did several calibrations, but it never worked correctly. During calibration, everything goes smoothly, but when it comes to printing and cutting, it cuts incorrectly, especially at the bottom of the sheet. Even on vinyl, which should cut perfectly, the cut comes out all shaky. With so many recurring issues that I see people complaining about on UA-cam, Cricut should have solved them by now. And the thing is, my machine became much worse and noisier after the firmware update, which, in my opinion, is useless. Today, I have a machine sitting idle because I can't sell it or even use it since it doesn't work properly. I bought a Silhouette Cameo 4, and it was the best thing I've ever done! It does everything perfectly! The Cameo cuts shapes flawlessly, cuts glossy paper without issues, and vinyl with the most perfect cut I've ever seen.
Great video! But I need a recommendation for an affordable (under $250) printer that will print on sticker paper. I’m having issues printing on sticker paper as my printer jams every time ( no matter what settings I try) It doesn’t have a rear feed tray. So, I’m ready to buy a new printer just to use with my cricut. Checked out the MGL video on printers, but it’s outdated and the link to the recommended printer now shows a model that’s over $700. Would appreciate any recommendations for printers currently on the market. Thank you!!!
Hi, thank you so much for the video! I am still having trouble, though I calibrated my cricut two or three times and the lines print perfectly on the calibration sheet but then when I go to print then cut, it is still not working. The cricut still is cutting in the totally wrong spot, even though my page is in the top left corner of my mat, lined up perfectly. Know anything I could do for this? Appreciate it!
I have the same problem from the beginning when I bought Cricut :( Every printed page is cutted wrong and I do not know how to solve it. Even if I make calibration once per sheet, it is still wrong :(
I am having an issue with my cricut/printer when trying to do print then cut. I have done my design, I try to print it, I click make it and it tells me that I have to do a calibration first, so i click for it to do that and my printer just starts printing out sheets of paper with weird symbols and numbers on it. It continues to print that until I go into my printer and cancel the print completely. Do you have any idea why this is happening or what I can do to fix it.
This video is amazing. But I have a question, let's say I did exactly what you did with the stickers to save paper and printed a few sheets. Can I, later on, cut those and tell the machine that I already have it printed?
I have the same problem from the beginning when I bought Cricut :( Every printed page is cutted wrong and I do not know how to solve it. Even if I make calibration once per sheet, it is still wrong :(
Hello, I have a problem that even the cricut customer service agent couldn't fix - I can print if I DONT open the printer dialog box but if I open the printer dialog box , it DOES NOT print. fml. wtf. please help!
I am having an issue with the sensor marks, I see it on cricut on the bottom and when im ready to print they are around the image this has never happened. I am having issues with cutting correctly and stickers are coming out completely off this is beyond frustrating
Print and cut issue now is that every time I move my image to the first page whether it be left or right of page , it will move back to the starting position… I was on the phone 8 hrs today going back and forth with cricut. They had me uninstall / reinstall , update my computer to current software and this still doesn’t work… I even switched to beta
Do you guys have issues with using colored paper? I’ve even used a very light cream cardstock and my machine cannot read the lines unless I strictly use white paper
This was very helpful however I have another issue that I was hoping would be mentioned. Mine does a double registration set of lines on the top. A small set then a larger set underneath it which wastes a good 1 1/2 inches of paper on the top. Anyone have this issue? If so did you figure out how to stop it? Would be so grateful.
My maker is 1 1/2 years and I can't even do the calibration sheet. The sensor comes on in the white area at the top, goes really slow for 3" left and right then shuts off. Then I get print and cut error. Does anyone have answers how to fix besides another cricut?
I followed all the steps, I flattened, I made the canvas grey to see what was going to cut and it's still trying to cut out each individual piece.... :(
I've done the calibration, and it doesn't cut directly on any of the lines. Or it will come close on the top but the side it's off but never in the middle. I think I've tried to calibrate it about 3 times back to back but haven't been successful. What suggestions do you have to get it calibrated as close as possible?

huge help, the marking the target lines worked for my issue
Thank you for your expertise and your hotness! The complete package.
Thanks so much! My machine keeps losing calibration and think it could be the change in lighting. Could you please explain what is fine calibration vs print then cut? Thanks so much.
Hello could I do this on my iPod please?

Great instructions. I don't have a PC, I use my tablet or phone for design space. I haven't seen a system dialog for PNC file.
Thanks for watching!
How did you bring up the print set up? My program just goes to calibrate. Then it prints out something totally different to the picture.
Thanks for the video! Does anyone have a fix for images printing to dark from design space but not photoshop?
Thabks so much! I didnt know there was a way to check. Most all svgs ive gotten I had to do an offset.
You're welcome!
With the offset option I could get a better result, you just have a new subscriber, thanks a lot for your time 😉👍
Thanks for the sub!

Thank you Lauren - great tutorial.
