Interesting, I didn’t know that. A little too expensive for cleaning shoes though. I was going to suggest rubbing alcohol is the best as far as I know for Removing permanent marker. 70% or 90% is great and doesn’t usually require elbow grease. I hate elbow grease!!!
acetone polish remover works great for those markings on the bottom of the shoes. using it with the magic eraser is even better! great video, thank you!!
Hi Jenna, thank you so very much for putting this together! I have used 'baking soda' as well as 'hydrogen peroxide' on some things, but, this really helps. Personally, I don't like using 'goof off' because of all the chemicals...and the smell...just too strong for me...so I search out other things. All this really helps and thanks again. Have a great day and week~Sherry :)
simple green and a toothbrush for rubber sides and bottoms. It will also take off adhesive most of the time. First thing I try on any writing on the sole is a pencil eraser. Usually does the trick but not always. I've gotta try the goof off on some ball point pen!
I’ve watched this video a few times now. I’m about to order several products. I know I’ll prob end up watching this again. Thank you for making great videos Jenna.
Great video! Thanks for the help! I used Oxyclean and a scrub brush on the bottoms of sneakers, but it is kind of messy, so I am going to try your Lysol wipes. The oxy does get them really clean.
Love every video! Thank you! I would like to see a “what sold” this month but also include “how much did I spent” this month.. hopefully it’s a doable thing..
Thank you for sharing your shoe cleaning tips! I found a gorgeous pair of European leather ankle boots at the thrift store that were in excellent condition but had gum on the bottom! My husband thought it was disgusting, but I’ll scrape gum off a barely worn pair of expensive boots any day, especially for $6.99!
Jennaaaaa!!! Thank you so much for this shoe serie. I love Dr. Martin’s Balm, but had no clue of the other products. You hit it out of the ballpark!!! You’re the B E S T! 💕❤️💕❤️
GREAT video even though I don't sell shoes. I love these tips for my own shoes and for other items that may have the same issues as shoes. THANKS SO MUCH!!
Super helpful video and well done as always Jenna🙂Thank you for showing us all your tips and the products you use. Looking forward to the series. Have a great week!
Great tips! Any idea how to remove stains from Patent leather? I have these beautiful light pink Ted Baker shoes that I wore maybe twice and they have these mysterious blue ink like mark on them. I’ve tried acetone, wax remover, alcohol swabs. If you have any ideas please let me know!
Have you tried rubbing alcohol on the permanent marker? It works great, no elbow grease! But I like that cleaner you used on the bottom of the shoe..it made the part you cleaned look new. Thanks for the tips..love it.
I think you have great tips and I think your video is excellent, but I do feel compelled to make one point, not only for you but for anyone reading this. Any Lysol wipes that are made for surfaces, (not specifically for hands/skin), absorb into your skin and can damage your liver. You should use lightweight gloves when using those or anything similar to those. If someone uses one for a surface once in a great while it isn't that big a deal, but if you use them regularly I can tell you from a medical standpoint that it's a fact-your liver doesn't them. If anyone doubts this, just ask your Dr. for confirmation. Just trying to help. Great video though and thank you very much! :-)
Thank you Jenna! Shoes are tough for me...do you think you can include a side note on where to look find for shoe styles that are trending? I’d really appreciate it sense I’m pretty basic in my personal shoe preferences. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks! It’s hard with light color leather a lot of times conditioner darkens it no matter what! I usually use Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam, but test a small area first.
This is a great video Jenna! However I desperately need your help I've recently grabbed up some Kate Spade shoes and I want to clean the bottoms but I'm not sure what product to use or how to do it any recommendations? Or if anybody else on this thread knows how to do that to I'd so grateful thanks!
Thank you for this video, Jenna! I have a pair of SAS shoes I got at a yard sale. They had cushion pads that were stuck inside the shoes, so the inside of the tongue is sticky! How can I get that sticky stuff off? Thanks!
Any advice for rubber soled shoes with BLACK sharpie or permanent marker? I see that these tips work great for silver or white marker but the black seems to be in a league of it's own. I've tried everything you suggested here plus, nail polish remover w/ Acetone, WD40, Magic Eraser wet and dry, Sandpaper, Tide to Go pen, Shout spray....the list goes on. The marker will not budge. And of course it's the price of the item so if I can't get it off I'm out of luck to sell it. If anyone has any tips for the black marker I'd appreciate it.
The best for white sole vans style shoes ... is white art erasers !!!! Worked at vans for years that’s the trick !
sanitizer gets permanent marker out and sticker tag adhesive off too thanks for the up load good video thanks for the leather cleaner advise
Awesome tips!! I spray Windex (clear windex if possible) on the majic eraser instead of wetting it down. Works much better without leaving a mess 👍🏻
Whats In My Life 2017: damn I wish I could've seen this comment earlier. I ran out out magic eraser.
Whats In My Life 2017 awesome tip
For white sole shoes like vans you want to use a white art eraser!!! It works crazy good!
with the Lysol wipes, I also wipe the inside to sanitize the shoes. I also use Goo Gone for the sticky residue as well. Thanks for sharing your tips.
Lemon essential oil is great for getting the marker off too without the chemicals!
Emily Freter thank you for this tip

Thank you for sharing info that is actually useful. Hairspray for ink, acetone nail polish remover for adhesives has worked well for me.
Magic Eraser Sheets work great too!
I like to use a degreaser for the bottoms of the shoes. It gets the stains out very nicely. That Vince pair could have used a good degreaser.
why does this not have like a million views? this is important
I use pure acetone or nail polish remover with acetone in it for the white rubber soles on shoes! They do wonders on Vans and Converse!!
Thanks for sharing! I use my hair spray (aerosol can) and paper towel and it removes any marker off the bottom of shoes in a breeze! 😘
What about getting rid of stains and preventing them on the leather/suede outsole of tory burch sandals ?
Great tips!!!! I’ve never been so excited to clean shoes before 🤣
Spray and wash works wonders also
So helpful as always! Curious if it's safe to use a magic eraser on Crocs?
Thank you for sharing this was super informative and helpful! I am trying to sell some heels my ex left and didn't want back but barely worn. Thanks
acetone polish remover works great for those markings on the bottom of the shoes. using it with the magic eraser is even better!
great video, thank you!!
Thanks so much for sharing that tip!
so thorough! a treasure of information. Thank you.
Brilliant!! Wish I would have watched this months ago to save myself so much time. Thanks 😊

How did u use the peroxide? What did u use baking soda on? I am anti-chemical for anything that works well - even if it requires extra TLC

Great tips, Thank you for sharing!
They don't seem to have it in the UK.
Another seller uses the original scrubbing bubbles. I tried it on the soles. It’s a little messy, but not much elbow grease needed.
I’ve watched this video a few times now. I’m about to order several products. I know I’ll prob end up watching this again. Thank you for making great videos Jenna.
Oh my gosh this is amazing! Why haven't i done this sooner? Thank you SO much for all your amazing videos. Love watching every single one of them!!
Use Kiwi spray suede cleaner to remove price tags and grease crayon prices from the bottom of the shoes. It works on leather too.
Thank you for sharing!
What products to do you recommend to clean dirt and sticker residue off the bottom of Frye boots?
Great video! Thanks for the help! I used Oxyclean and a scrub brush on the bottoms of sneakers, but it is kind of messy, so I am going to try your Lysol wipes. The oxy does get them really clean.
You are God sent;) Thank you! I struggled with trying to get the markings off the bottom. My thrift store always uses permanent marker.
You're welcome! So glad it was helpful!
Thank you, thank you! I have been so intimidated by shoes because I didn’t know how to clean/spruce them up. ❤️
Love every video! Thank you!
I would like to see a “what sold” this month but also include “how much did I spent” this month.. hopefully it’s a doable thing..
janet gonzales I think Jenna may have said previously that she made a business decision to keep private her cost of goods sold.
janet gonzales she never shares cost of goods
Love your storage system👍🏻
Thank you!

Exactly! And once the gum is gone they are like new. Got to rescue them!
Jennaaaaa!!! Thank you so much for this shoe serie. I love Dr. Martin’s Balm, but had no clue of the other products. You hit it out of the ballpark!!! You’re the B E S T! 💕❤️💕❤️

Can you use the suede stain eraser on Ugg boots????
Great video! What do you use to clean leather bottom shoes since you don't use the lysol wipes?
GREAT video even though I don't sell shoes. I love these tips for my own shoes and for other items that may have the same issues as shoes. THANKS SO MUCH!!

I used rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball on the silver marker pen and it came right off without hardly any effort.
Great tips! Any idea how to remove stains from Patent leather? I have these beautiful light pink Ted Baker shoes that I wore maybe twice and they have these mysterious blue ink like mark on them. I’ve tried acetone, wax remover, alcohol swabs. If you have any ideas please let me know!

Helpful video, much appreciated. Defiantly shows you were in HS or College at the end or after the 90's with how you pronounce Dr. Martens.

Hi! Maybe try goo gone!
Try drawing over it with a permanent marker to block it out then use acetone or alcohol...if they don't work, at least the price isn't visible
