Slot Car - with Akira Mochimaru and his custom Beck Porsche 904

Akira Mochimaru grew up in Tokyo loving cars and especially the most popular slot car model - the Porsche 904. When he learned that Chuck Beck was making replicas, he decided to commission one for his very own. After a three-year wait, Akira got his car in 2009. He imported a Porsche racing six-cylinder motor from Japan to put where the four-cylinder would normally be. As an engineer, former race mechanic, and technology-oriented person, Akira tunes his custom car constantly via laptop. He uses the car for everything - street, autocross, and even track days. I had a yellow 904 slot car made from a Scalextric kit.
Always liked the understated look of it.Saw a couple racing at Snetterton late 60's.

904 was not the last Street legal racing Porsche. The 906 was also street legal.
