IGN said 9, but they typically over glorify any game. ODST to the public was not received well because it was living in the shadow of Master Chief. The original trilogy was so good that just having the name 'Halo' anywhere on a game makes it a difficult task to live up to that brand quality. So what i'm saying is that if ODST was a random, futuristic, military shooter, that wasn't affiliated with Halo, it would've been appreciated in its own qualities. But, the gaming community continually did the most natural thing and compared it to the original trilogy. That's why, to gamers (not IGN) ODST was underrated.
It’s a matter of opinion so there will always be a question. I thought ODST was cool back then but, looking back at it, it was just a dry run into what ultimately led to Halo: Reach.
This review gets it right. Too many people bought ODST looking for a whole new sequel and bashed on it when it didn't have an original multiplayer matchmaking mode. People focus too much on this and forget that ODST had a story mode, an amazing story mode. The story is my favorite in the series and even one of my all time favorites. A truly underrated game that deserves high praise.
It was a full priced game on release. that's Bungie's (and MS) fault. if they just released the campaign and firefight as a $35/40 DLC or spin off people wouldn't judge it as a full game.
What is this "underated" shit. Im tired of it. This game is underated at all u just say that cuz its a side game yet the game sold over 6 million copies and got very high critical praise. Its not fucking underated at all. Damn.
"One of the best"? This was THE worst. It's not better than Halo 1,2 or 3... Not better then Reach and not better than Halo 4... which makes it the worst one..
Hiruko It's the opinion of most serious gamers... General consensus you could say. Each to his own, sure, but there really aren't any valid reasons to call ODST one of the best halo games.
"Stops you from getting lost, like in previous halo games"? Pretty ironic as a lot of the levels (especially the night time ones) are very easy to get lost in
This is the best musical score for any game EVER it is honestly amazing the soundtrack just emulates atmosphere and I feel really lonely whilst playing in the empty streets of new mambosa it's just incredible definitely worth a try I even listen to the musical score on its own without even playing the game.
Alex Tesdahl Osei is right, people need to shut up with this "343 RUIND HALO" how would you like it if this is your first time making a game you didn't own and people started to shit on you? Halo 4 is a great game, but its not a great HALO game, BIG DIFFERENCE!
Alex Tesdahl IK how you feel brother, i was hopping for another great Halo game, we just got to help and hope for 343 to fix there mistakes on what they did, and by how there changing, I'm starting to feel that were gonna have another great Halo game, remember. BELIVE.
Alex Tesdahl Also about cortana's voice actor, her name is Jen Taylor, I'm not sure if you know her or not, but just to remind everyone she's been doing voice actor games for a long time, including Halo.
As long as it's sold as a DLC by itself this time (which it should've been before), I'm in! Don't wanna be forced to buy a game I already own again, what a rip off that was with ODST :p
LoN3wOlF5tudi0s I think it would've been more worth it with a $40 price tag. It was worth it, though, for those who never bought any H3 map packs. However, there is a beautiful Campaign and the awesome Firefight there. It's like $5 now though, so ANYBODY who never bought it should do so NOW.
I might get crap for this, but his is my favorite Halo. It had an awesome story, cool firefight addition, and all the Halo 3 multiplayer maps, which is my favorite multiplayer game to date
I agree! Just finished playing it, and decided to look up this review. Halo 3: ODST does not get enough credit. Sure, it reuses a lot of assets and the same engine from Halo 3, but the graphics and art style of Halo 3 were some of my favorite! When you take that and the brilliance of the Halo 3: ODST storyline and level design, then you have the perfect Halo experience. It's a modest entry in the Halo franchise, but one of the best in my opinion
ODST is not only my favorite Halo, game but one of my favorite games of all time. The campaign had a perfect atmosphere, likeable characters, an interesting story, a sub-plot that isn't entirely necessary, the replay value is really high, and the soundtrack. THE SOUNDTRACK! It made everything even more awesome. And firefight was so much fun with friends, and it added even more to the replay value. The Halo 3 multiplayer disc was an awesome addition from Bungie, and I thank them for that.
Honestly my fav is number 2, and i'm not sure why but I couldn't agree more that this game is one of my favorite games of all time, and oh man that SOUNDTRACK.
6 hour campaign? What's with the rush? There's an open world to explore? Why not search every nook and cranny? There are even 30 hidden sound files that tell a side story and I still haven't found all of them. It took me AT LEAST 24 hours total to finish this game.
Yeah, I know right. I took 26 hours to complete the game, and it's absolutely fantastic. People who complete the game so fast, just go guns blazing like retards.
There are two types of Halo fans, the fans that love the story and characters, and the “fans” that just mindlessly want another call of duty PVP. Sadly the reputation of ODST got bogged down by the competitive community that didn’t want any true substance.
Things I liked about it: Brutes were op again. Sense of desperation. Stratergy must be more thought out. Abundance of allies in day. Reliance on teammates. Improved, noticeable ranking for covenent. Last stand situations. Colorful characters. Recoil Things I didn't like about it. All the damn walking. Open world. Lack of dual welding Lack of pvp multiplayer Firefight boring with only one player. Parts of open world being too hard to get past. No elites
I actually think that this might be my favorite campaign. I beat all other core halo games before this (not wars) and I gotta say, after plowing through enemies as an unstoppable spartan, it felt good to have some weakness for once
Jonny B I won't disagree that the story was good, I liked it, but it's the gameplay that's annoying. It's full of annoying gameplay cliches that bring nothing new to the table and there are even some levels where the same stuff is repeated. What I mean by this is where you have to go to point A to activate thing A (another thing I dislike about it is the constant button pressing) and then you have to go to point B to activate thing B and the layout is nothing different; you're doing the same thing over again. One of the levels I can think of off the top of my head is Shutdown. The gameplay still manages to be slightly above average, but it's nowhere near as exhilarating or interesting as the previous Halos. Halo 4 and Halo 3 have my least favourite campaigns of the series. Halo 3 is far too linear, which is something that can also be said for Halo 4. With Halo 2, there are levels like Metropolis that are fun and interesting - you get to invade a scarab, for instance. Or maybe you get to infiltrate the covenant base like in High Charity or Gravemind. The elevator ride in Regret combined with the gondola rides was something truly unique. Perhaps the worst part about Halo 4 is that the boss is a bloody quick time event. Halo 2 had a boss that you actually had to try to beat, and it had an onslaught of elites helping you out which added to the atmosphere as well as the gameplay. Halo 2 created interesting situations in every mission and didn't have nearly as many gameplay cliches as Halo 4. I'd get into Halo: CE, but I honestly don't want to make this comment any longer than it is. Halo 4 has a good story, but the gameplay is executed poorly. Halo 2 has its flaws as well, but it's nowhere near as thorough as Halo 4. Halo 4's soundtrack was different, but it wasn't terrible. I'd say it was good, even. It's got a different feel to the original campaign, and I can respect that since it's a new trilogy and all, but 343 Industries needs to work on their execution. However, the impression i'm getting from Halo 5: Guardians, I think that they can pull off a campaign that's as good as Halo: CE. Of course, that's as high as my expectations go, wouldn't want to be disappointed again.
SUGAR NIPZ The level design, though, was pretty uninspired and felt pretty lazy. In at least 3 of the levels, they copy-pasted one half of the level over to the other side and had you do the same thing over there, one of the examples of this being the third mission, Forerunner. Most of the damn level was the same with slight alterations. The issue I have with the first level is the really really really linear corridor shooting start-up. Of course, once they get outside, it starts to get interesting with gravity 'n' stuff, but that lasts a whole 2 minutes and you're back inside running back through all the corridors you traversed to get to this point. The level had two redeeming qualities: The space part and what comes after that. Most of the levels had lacklustre level design that was rarely interesting, but it did have its moments, I'll grant it that.
The campaign is brilliantly paced - and unlike others in the franchise, it was seemingly designed with legendary play in mind. I would say it probably has the most fair and balanced legendary campaign of all the Halos. Great story, great voice acting, great gameplay changes - pretty much the only serious flaw is limited level design thanks to the dated engine, and the set pieces tend to make up for it. Just a shame we never got firefight in the MCC. If they had added that, with public matchmaking... That would have made the new DLC 10x more replayable.
I've been really getting into the Halo series and story and I found 50 dollars in my pocket yesterday and I think I wanna get a Halo game. I already have reach but I want another one. Any ideas on wich on I should get?
@123 Kidd Oh totally, Honestly what you can buy it for now, is what it should have been in price from the beginning. I sincerely hope that halo infinite has a similar structure to this title, as it had so much going for it, that it would be a shame to loose out on what it gave.
I think the best part of the game is coming down in the drop pods at the start of the game. The sound effects, graphics and controller vibrations look and fee lamazing
@VectorProductionns becouse this is on earth. reach was attacked by the full fleet of the covenant while new mombasa (on earth) was only attacked by 1 single ship
@Zockanumber1 In Halo Reach you played a Spartan 3. Master Chief was a Spartan 2, so was George. Spartan 3s aren't as strong and as well trained as Spartan 2s. The DMR is the precursor to the BR which I believe in the time of Halo reach was only just starting to replace it.
Halo ODST just needed one things to be on the big title names, a matchmaking multiplayer firefight , from all the halo games i played, dozen of thousands of hours played I can honestly say on my top 15 games ever played a few were playing halo odst firefight multiplayer! Over 3 hrs match playing with the old squad , if only it was matchmaking I would still be playing it to this date 2018
I would segest searching mark 4 amor and choosing the Halo Nation link. Then scrolling down to the appearances section. It explains this confusion. Although not to sure how accurate the site is.
Did Vidmaster Endure with 3 of my friends via system link. It was a huge Party, the last round was a disaster, we had to salvage weapons from our enemies (with 30% ammo), and escape from Brute Cheiftains. 2 Hours 30 minutes, but we did it. This is the original firefight and it's will be the best for all times.
Question.. Should I buy this game alone or buy the Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One that has everything? Because i'm thinking about buying the Xbox One S when it comes out in August. So please tell me.
If you want the ODST experience specifically, then definitely get ODST the game (note that it is not backwards compatible with xbox one) But if you want all the other halo games featuring the masterchief then get the mcc. (also note that ODST was added to the mcc as a bonus for those who played the game during the buggy launch. If you want ODST with the mcc, it will be an aditional five dollars although you would only be receiving the ODST campaign, not firefight) Hope this was helpful! (personally I would get the mcc, as it comes with much more content)
Justin Muir Cool. Another question, will all the maps in Halo 3 ODST be in MCC and can you still play with 4 players? Along with Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary?
+Xavier yes the mcc includes every halo map from halos 1-4 including pc exclusives and dlc maps. You may have seen that the original halo ce anniversary included classic maps remade using the halo reach engine, sadly these maps are not included.
Justin Muir OMG that's awesome. Well it's official that this is the ultimate Halo experience and a must have for the Xbox One. All Halo's remastered and almost all the maps are included in this package. The Multiplayer is very fun. Thank you very much for your help with this.
I guess what most people don't realize is that the price includes a total of 3 map packs in the price (Which total out to about $30) and it introduced a completely new form of multiplayer. In addition, you got 3 maps before everyone else. If it's over priced DLC, it's a lot of DLC. Besides, I play ODST almost as much as I play Halo: 3.
So I've been a playstation user this whole generation. Now I'm thinking of getting a 360 to play the exclusives that I missed. Is it a good time with the new model 360 that just came out or should I wait for an price drop or something. Please save your hostility if you answer to my comment. I am no fanboy I am simply a gamer looking for the opinion of other gamers. Thanks in advance.
That comment was 3 months ago. Fast-forward to today, I actually bought a 360 slim just to experience the Halo and Gears franchise. I've beaten Halo Reach's campaign about 4 times (even with the hard skulls). I'm currently replaying Halo 3's campaign just for fun. Also, I've tried the online for Reach for about a month. Best online experience I've ever had. It's such a mentally strategic game.
Technically. Whilst in the Mombasa streets, you had a certain objective to go to the next mission, but there was an aspect where you could just have hopped on a Mongoose and go wherever the hell you wanted to go to.
4. The Mk-IV armor is still debatable, as the cover of Cole Protocol featured someone in Mk-IV which was very different from the Mk-IV in Wars, and both of them were different from the Mk-IV in Forward Unto Dawn. They also have slight differences from The Package short in Legends, wich featured Mjolnir Mk-IVs. So yes, it is not the Mk-VI, but it also might not be the Mk-IV.
3. Plothole's: How did Sgnt Johnson surivive the Halo Ring being destroyed? And Halo Reach is a whole other mess, like certain placements of characters and how Halsey knows that there are Spartan III's even tho previously she would have no clue of their existece untill she was in castle base. 4. That is Mark 4 armor, the armor John wore before he got the Mark 5 armor (the one in Halo 1). It just has a resemblence of Mark 6.
If anyone has the answers to my questions, please respond. 1. Does the books ever say how heavy the ODST's armor? I know its all made of titanium, but i was curious because those soldiers obviously must be incredibly physically fit in order to fight in them considering they dont have an exoskeleton like the spartans do. 2. Does the books ever say why the human soldiers never got exoskeleton suits in the war? I mean i know the spartan suits were too powerful for a regular human to wear, but i believe if they did have lower grade exoskeleton suits it would have helped.
#1 It's actually ballistic armor the ODST wear it's a mix of titanium and ceramic materials and in all honesty you don't need an exoskeleton to wear titanium and ceramic body armor however it comes down to the level of the armor the higher it is the more protection and likely heavier. #2 It's down to expense of producing exoskeleton in today's American military they'd only be able to afford exoskeleton suits for special forces. As for Halo for example take the military force on Reach the available military manpower to the humans was around 300 million or higher now imagine the expense of outfitting all those soldiers with even low grade exo suits.
1. From my experience with Halo games, I had never encountered a problem with matchmaking until I played Halo 4. While it does seem to be impossible, I would go with ‘improbable’. I realize that many people have had problems with previous titles’ online, but from my experience, there was not a single problem with any of the multiplayers until Halo 4.
@krazerkeir I think l just prefer the slightly more fast-paced action, where if you see someone without being spotted, they're basically dead unless you fail at life.
One of the most underrated 360 games, no question.
+Reyes Chacon and what's the question?
IGN said 9, but they typically over glorify any game. ODST to the public was not received well because it was living in the shadow of Master Chief. The original trilogy was so good that just having the name 'Halo' anywhere on a game makes it a difficult task to live up to that brand quality. It’s a matter of opinion so there will always be a question. I thought ODST was cool back then but, looking back at it, it was just a dry run into what ultimately led to Halo: Reach.
I didnt know it exsisted until today.... 2019
Most underrated halo game
This review gets it right. Too many people bought ODST looking for a whole new sequel and bashed on it when it didn't have an original multiplayer matchmaking mode. People focus too much on this and forget that ODST had a story mode, an amazing story mode. The story is my favorite in the series and even one of my all time favorites. A truly underrated game that deserves high praise.
I definitely agree with you. They didn't buy and play the game for what it is.
It was a full priced game on release. that's Bungie's (and MS) fault. if they just released the campaign and firefight as a $35/40 DLC or spin off people wouldn't judge it as a full game.
It shouldn't have been 60 bucks. Thats the problem at launch it should have been 30 bucks.
Funny thing is that full retail games nowadays will often not have this much campaign or story
I enjoyed the game thoroughly however lack of matchmaking for firefight was pretty ridiculous.
the campaign has such an awesome atmosphere, i really did feel alone and just wanted to find the rest of ma team.
Playing this for the first time and I completely agree with this!
Better than Halo 5.
Ummmm no
+DestructoGuy17 true
+DestructoGuy17 Halo 5 is not a Halo for me.
+Arutzuki why?
riDQlous441 Too much CoD. No split screen. Short campaign. Bad story. Bad graphics. Micro Transactions.
Took me 11 years to play it. It's one of my favourites so far
Extremely underrated game, this game was one of the best Halos, even if it wasn't a "full blown campaign" as some claimed it was
its just sad it didn't get the praise it deserved.
Richard lancelot But, that's your opinion not everyone else's.
Hiruko It's the opinion of most serious gamers... General consensus you could say.
Each to his own, sure, but there really aren't any valid reasons to call ODST one of the best halo games.
"Stops you from getting lost, like in previous halo games"? Pretty ironic as a lot of the levels (especially the night time ones) are very easy to get lost in
Yeah! Exactly! I got lost many times on Odst. I NEVER got lost on the previous Halo games. Never.
Also, is Firefight available when only one person is playing?
Yes
Amazing responsetime
Finally, someone notices the important thing!
thanks for getting back to me! i think i will finally be able to buy the game now
thanks for the info buddy
man this is 7 years old and i still play it
Octaivan Schrankel lmao firefight in this game is THE BEST
I play it on Xbox One via MCC.
Damn it’s almost a decade and it’s still my favorite Halo
*10*
11!!
This is the best musical score for any game EVER it is honestly amazing the soundtrack just emulates atmosphere and I feel really lonely whilst playing in the empty streets of new mambosa it's just incredible definitely worth a try I even listen to the musical score on its own without even playing the game.
Love the smooth jazz w the rain so soothing 🔥
Time flew by. Remember playing this the first day it came out
Yeah same here dude, i got that special edition of it with th ODST controller, heres to more halo in the years to come
@Jedijoshy: we all had that attitude until THEY came along.
better than the halo 4 crap
Shove off
Alex Tesdahl Osei is right, people need to shut up with this "343 RUIND HALO" how would you like it if this is your first time making a game you didn't own and people started to shit on you? Halo 4 is a great game, but its not a great HALO game, BIG DIFFERENCE!

Alex Tesdahl Also about cortana's voice actor, her name is Jen Taylor, I'm not sure if you know her or not, but just to remind everyone she's been doing voice actor games for a long time, including Halo.
Alex Tesdahl I agree :)
Best soundtrack in any halo game
Loved ODST then, and still love it now... how about another one? somebody??

Nope hated it
Agreed.
@@irfaans7973 you probably liked halo 4 and 5
Can we have a sequel to this? It'd be awesome to see these characters again within the more militaristic tone that Halo 4 has set up.
Halo: New Blood is the book you might want to read.
Notable COG Gear that's the one where they follow what happens with rookie after the game right?
thatoneguy5525 rookie dead
How was this realesed nearly 11 years ago? I feel old af...
over 11 now :(
First shooter I’ve Ever played
I might get crap for this, but his is my favorite Halo. It had an awesome story, cool firefight addition, and all the Halo 3 multiplayer maps, which is my favorite multiplayer game to date

I couldn't agree more, especially about the soundtrack.
Honestly my fav is number 2, and i'm not sure why but I couldn't agree more that this game is one of my favorite games of all time, and oh man that SOUNDTRACK.
343 should remaster this game.
While technically not a remaster, they did port it over to the xbox one
+Darkhalo314 good.
they did
+Happy Belicina They didn't remaster this game.
+Darkhalo314 They did you can buy it for 7$ in the MCC for dlc

Best campaign yet
Should I get Halo 1 or Halo ODST? I am going for the campaign.
Today it launches on pc 11 years later. Very cool
oh good I'm not the only one watching old game videos
Jay's Brick Co. Nope
Reach, ODST and halo 2 are the best games of halo for me
Wow 11 years ago! Came back to see it once again after the remastered came out recently.
Spartans are great and all, but why are ODSTs and marines so unappreciated?
I cannot wait to play ODST again on the Master Chief Collection when it drops on Steam.
I absolutely loved playing this game so much on my Xbox 360.
I liked playing as an ODST.
But The story..eh maybe deserves a 7.8
I like how it tied all together, but Wasnt my favorite
I'm replaying this awesome game on my 360 once again.
Best Halo Campaign EVER, even more than Reach
Hector De la Rocha nah H3 campaign was better.
Noble_Slip yeah halo 3 is my favorite but odst is my second favorite
I want another odst game.
Things I liked about it:
Brutes were op again.
Sense of desperation.
Stratergy must be more thought out.
Abundance of allies in day.
Reliance on teammates.
Improved, noticeable ranking for covenent.
Last stand situations.
Colorful characters.
Recoil
Things I didn't like about it.
All the damn walking.
Open world.
Lack of dual welding
Lack of pvp multiplayer
Firefight boring with only one player.
Parts of open world being too hard to get past.
No elites
Did you know that Halo ODST was going to be where you play as a Elite Strike Force?! But they picked ODSTs cause they were fan favorites
SPIT BALL 007 it would have been awesome to play as an Elite
Nice, short and sweet. There's something to be admired there.
I actually think that this might be my favorite campaign. I beat all other core halo games before this (not wars) and I gotta say, after plowing through enemies as an unstoppable spartan, it felt good to have some weakness for once
Halo campaign never upsets, hopefully they dont ruin it, like they almost did with halo 4, although bungie didnt even make 4, 343 needs to pick it up
Give 343 a break its their first instalment plus the last half of the halo 4 single player was pretty epic...
ReachCarter Halo 4 was a much needed breath of fresh air.

Halo ODST was such an underrated game.
True, I did fail to see that, haha. Although mistakes are still in Reach. Out of curosity, what are some plot holes you found in Halo 4?
Here in 2019 oof
My buddies and I are playing through this again just for the nostalgia. Worth it.
Can't wait for this to come out for the 360
@XxTrIcKsHoT37 the armor isnt destructible here, but in cod if you use rocket launchers i dont see limbs flying everywhere
The song is Heroes March, dont no who by, look up on youtube
"Why do I need to have the Map packs again?" Because some people havent got them all?
Song at the end of this video (when IGN is giving the score is)
[Epic Battle Fantasy 2 Soundtrack ] Golem Boss - Heroes March

Great story, great voice acting, great gameplay changes - pretty much the only serious flaw is limited level design thanks to the dated engine, and the set pieces tend to make up for it. Just a shame we never got firefight in the MCC. If they had added that, with public matchmaking... That would have made the new DLC 10x more replayable.
I've been really getting into the Halo series and story and I found 50 dollars in my pocket yesterday and I think I wanna get a Halo game. I already have reach but I want another one. Any ideas on wich on I should get?
6 hour campaign. Haha that's exactly how long it took me. I started it at 3PM and played nonstop (few breaks here and there) and ended around 9PM.
What's weird is the cover of the game has rain but in the vidoc video they said they couldn't have rain
I havent bought any map packs yet, are the new maps on this game exclusive or can i get them on the marketplace???
The most palpable and honest review I have ever seen of a video game.
@123 Kidd Oh totally, Honestly what you can buy it for now, is what it should have been in price from the beginning.
I sincerely hope that halo infinite has a similar structure to this title, as it had so much going for it, that it would be a shame to loose out on what it gave.
@nathanfiggs Indeed. Bungie wanted ODST to be a downloadable add-on, but Microsoft wanted a full retail-release.
Howvere is there any recent FPS games you like, because Is it the game or the genre
lol i like how everyone puts CE at 1. Honestly which would would you rather play? An outdated game or a game that came out a few weeks ago?
I think the best part of the game is coming down in the drop pods at the start of the game. The sound effects, graphics and controller vibrations look and fee lamazing
@VectorProductionns becouse this is on earth. reach was attacked by the full fleet of the covenant while new mombasa (on earth) was only attacked by 1 single ship
@ilusions4 it only has the halo odst campaign but it also has a second disk that contains only the halo 3 multiplayer
I remember when IGN reviews made fall in love with a game you haven’t even played yet.
does the second odst map pack thing come with the used also?
@Zockanumber1 In Halo Reach you played a Spartan 3. Master Chief was a Spartan 2, so was George. Spartan 3s aren't as strong and as well trained as Spartan 2s. The DMR is the precursor to the BR which I believe in the time of Halo reach was only just starting to replace it.
@angrywhitebird22 i no this may be a tad of topic, but wat should i get, 4 gb xbox for 130 quid, or 250 gb for 180?
Halo ODST just needed one things to be on the big title names, a matchmaking multiplayer firefight , from all the halo games i played, dozen of thousands of hours played I can honestly say on my top 15 games ever played a few were playing halo odst firefight multiplayer! Over 3 hrs match playing with the old squad , if only it was matchmaking I would still be playing it to this date 2018
I agree. I feel the same way but about Halo 4 more than ODST. What did you think of Halo 4? Assuming you've played it of course.
I would segest searching mark 4 amor and choosing the Halo Nation link. Then scrolling down to the appearances section. It explains this confusion. Although not to sure how accurate the site is.
I loved playing as Rookie, because you could see that Superintendent was trying to help you ( warning, road blocades as cover or weapon caches)
@HEADSHOTPROLOL Reach IS halo, it is just different. Do you want it to be like COD where every game is exactly the same as the previous?
Did Vidmaster Endure with 3 of my friends via system link. It was a huge Party, the last round was a disaster, we had to salvage weapons from our enemies (with 30% ammo), and escape from Brute Cheiftains. 2 Hours 30 minutes, but we did it. This is the original firefight and it's will be the best for all times.
Thanks for your compliment. We celebrate that day as an anniversary.
We need another game like ODST.
If you want ODST with the mcc, it will be an aditional five dollars although you would only be receiving the ODST campaign, not firefight)
Hope this was helpful!
+Xavier no problem!
@littlemoebro but would I understand the plot if I got Halo 3?
Whats the drumming music called? it starts at 2;43
What is the orchestral song called at the end?
I guess what most people don't realize is that the price includes a total of 3 map packs in the price (Which total out to about $30) and it introduced a completely new form of multiplayer. In addition, you got 3 maps before everyone else. If it's over priced DLC, it's a lot of DLC. Besides, I play ODST almost as much as I play Halo: 3.
@MagnumBullets47 ODST was suppose to be a downloadable content for Halo 3. So you shouldn't expect the whole Halo experience.
ODST will always have a special place in my heart :)
Great game, only failure was not having matchmaking for firefight at any point in its life cycle. Wish the firefight mode made it to MCC as well.
3 hour long firefight matches on Uplift with blockades made of crates and warthog
until finally- "okay guys were all board lets make a stand."
*gets mindlessly slaughtered
I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only things I found it was lacking was firefight matchmaking as well as a smaller price tag.
Can you play Firefight local splitscreen?
For #2 probably just expense, you can only produce so much!
I realize that many people have had problems with previous titles’ online, but from my experience, there was not a single problem with any of the multiplayers until Halo 4.
can you play this if this is your first halo game? do you need to have played the others to understand it
I didn't own all the maps cuz at the time I didn't have a hard drive so getting this game for me was awesome and a great idea
Hey, do you need Halo 3 to play the Halo 3 multiplayer disc on this game?
So if you buy this game is it like alos buying halo 3 since you get all of halo 3s multiplayer maps?
Armor abilities were one of my favourite add ons to the halo Series
@krazerkeir I think l just prefer the slightly more fast-paced action, where if you see someone without being spotted, they're basically dead unless you fail at life.
@VectorProductionns its actually 7 odsts, and reach got glass but earth didnt
@angrywhitebird22 Wich is better Halo 3 or Halo 3 ODST
i downloaded this one way back when i had a modded 360 and i loved it always playing firefight with 3 friends was always fun
Got it free from MCC in 60fbs/1080p
no its five dollars
If you got mcc before a certain date you got it free. 343 way of saying sorry for the crappy launch.
it does not run at 60fbs it runs at 60fps
If you havn't got live can you still play fire fight on your own?
Like you can with gears of wars hord
cheers
