This game is like a book. Really. It's like if someone wrote a good sci-fi book and then this is the visual depiction. I consider it interactive literature, not just any video game. Arguably the best game I have ever played.

I bought the game yesterday for my X Box 360. Along with some other games I miss playing and have played with my older brother back when I was a teen, and in my early 20’s. Borderlands, Halo 3, and Batman Arkham Asylum. ^_^
I bought a Xbox 360 today from an old lady for 20$. She said it was her grandsons and it was just eating space in her garage. Was hyped to set it up since I never really had an Xbox(PlayStation fan boy). I plugged all the cables in to see if it was working. The lady told me she didn’t have any games to go with it but 20$ is 20$. I booted up the Xbox and Bioshock was inside the disc cartridge. Never played this game even though I always wanted to. I think I hit the jackpot today guys
This game is such an amazing game, great graphics, amazing story, beautiful setting yet has that eerie touch that completes the game, huge fan of this game and series, honestly worth the buy and play, and I would honestly rate this a 10/10
Bioshock 2 itself doesn't hold up to the others in characters and story but shines in the other apartments fairly well whereas its Minerva's Den DLC stands shoulder to shoulder with the greatness of its neighbors. Personally, my favorite part of the series is the Burial at Sea DLC for infinite.

That in tandem with the great writing and amazing atmosphere makes it an easy recommendation for me. The Bioshock collection goes on sale a lot so it’s easy to get all 3 games for $15 (maybe less?)

I haven't played any of the Bioshock games. Just bought Infinite. Haven't played it yet cause im playing the Bioshock 1 that came with it. About 2 hours in. So far it seems okay.........not sure exactly what's going on with the story but gameplay seems decent. So far its a 7/10 for me. Gonna keep playing and see if that changes.
Well just finished it........still a 7/10 for me. I mean it is different than any other fps that i've played but it's an average game for me. I mainly played it for the story because a lot of people/people online told me it's the best story ever but....not really. Maybe if i played this game when it was released it would have been better? I hope I'll like Infinite better......
KeybladeHero01 you won't, I don't think... The order of how good they are is- One is the best, 3 is second, and 2 is third best. One has the best story. At the time it came out, it was one of the best games around and still holds up, and has replay value. That is why people think it is a classic. Also, you have to full listen to and understand the story to appreciate it. I would also play 2 before three so you can use the Big Daddy, it has a different feel. Also I would recommend playing 1 on the hardest difficulty setting, when you beat it on that level it is a truly rewarding feeling.
This is my current all time favorite game. If you're still questioning buying it, don't. Haha the story is absolutely incredible and insanely in depth. I found my copy for 10$ on ebay and I have never once regretted the purchase! I can't wait to see how Infinite turns out! 3
2007 HAD 4 INCREDIBLE GAMES, bioshock , call of duty 4 modern warfare , halo 3 , mass efect, now in 2013 i can see that only two of them still maintain the quality of that time. BIO AND HALO.
I'm so happy this came free with BioShock Infinite for PS3. I beat Infinite last night and just started BioShock. The atmosphere is just insane. I can't wait to see how the story unravels!

Save your fellow man, post this everywhere.
A WARNING TO ALL THOSE BRAVE OR STUPID ENOUGH TO VISIT THE COMMENT SECTION: Whenever you see somebody post a link, do not click it. However, it is human nature that our curiosity often overwhelms our instincts, so here's some steps to take in case you absolutely must know what the link leads to.
1) Is possible, don't click expand comment. People have been making custom links that look like the expand comment button that link you to a scare page.
2) Turn your speakers/headphones off. Shit's most likely going to get loud, inappropriate, or both.
3) DO NOT just click the link. Right click it and hit "Open Link in New Tab." This will give you a chance to read the page title and see if your still curious.
4) If the tab you opened says "Go To Sleep!" Close it WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT and thank god you didn't have to hire a therapist.
5) If it says anything other than that, be wary. Seriously, brace yourself because it's probably some other scary shit or the grossest most fucked up kind of porn imaginable.
Note: If whatever you clicked on turns out to just be spam, thank god because it could be so, SSOOOO much worse.
And last but not least, please report people who paste spam, ASCII pictures or vulgar images, and links to other undesired websites. UA-cam does deal with them. In terms of the fake expand comment thing, if you click and drag "expand this comment", you can tell whether or not it's fake; If it's real, nothing will happen, and if it's fake, a link gets dragged :)
Gonna keep playing and see if that changes.
remember that Bioshock 1 is almost 6 years old before judging it
you also have to get number 2
KeybladeHero01 Bioshock 1 was by far the best imo and it's also one of the greatest games of all time.
An IGN review referenced classic literature- peak review
Really good review. For all the fans, who enjoyed the story, I recommend the book Bioshock:Rapture, which is a prequel to the first game.
this was actually a good review
Back when games were great
This is my favorite game of all time!!!
This game or Gears of War 1?
Actually IGNentertainment, there is a name for the character that the person is playing. his name is Jack. just though you guys should know

carlos lugo Hopefully much better than Infinite. I still have hope for the series, though.
EvilTim1911 what's wrong with infinite?
i hope the game will be more like system shock 2
How do you know there's gonna be a 4th Bioshock?
🐐
true that, even on 360 graphics are still up to date, the art design is simply timeless
BIO AND HALO.
i really enjoy having that feeling of desperation and feeling alone that BioShock has
I just got this game. I can't believe I've missed out on this for 6 years
6yrs? I’m just now buying the collection edition on switch today.😅From what I’m hearing,it’s sounds like an amazing game
Bioshock is a game that many people remember for what it has done for the gaming industry, it’s not just a masterpiece
It’s a revolutionary product
the background Lore of this game is simply amazing and I hope the new dishonor game is similar.
I'm so happy this came free with BioShock Infinite for PS3. I beat Infinite last night and just started BioShock. The atmosphere is just insane. I can't wait to see how the story unravels!
