You literally provided me what I needed in 5mins - after about 5hrs of agony trying to make my controller work using the ""USELESS" users manual included with the controller and watching a bunch of half baked videos on UA-cam. Short and very helpful video
Great video very helpful. My PZT works properly and connected properly, however the tilting and panning is not stopping to specific direction is just keep moving to the left or right if you used the joystick to the left or right same in ups and down. Any info will on how to fix please.
Thank you for the video, when I search I was able to find the 3 cameras that I have, however after adding them and pressing CAM 1 then enter, it gives connection failed. What am I missing?
I bought the Leftek version for my video production kit. I have a love hate relationship with the controller. It is more geared towards security starting with the fact that it only supports onvif and not the visca protocol. Most video production gear uses visca. As such having additional access to control the cameras from most video production software as well as the controller isn't possible. Second is key presses. Most video production controllers have 4 quick keys to select cameras and presets. What you can do with usually 2 key presses on those it takes 6 on the S3 controller. In a fast paced production it really slows you down. I love the preview screen though, you don't get that on most video production based controllers. It also cheaper than most video production controllers by a couple hundred bucks. It is perfect for monitoring and controlling most security PTZ cams though.
Ya looking at the price maybe that’s why it is not matching up with higher end production graded controllers. As you mentioned though it does the job controlling Most PTZ cameras that use omvif protocol
So where I am working has 3 camera's one isn't working so after I watch your video I realize that I have to go to the computer to add the IP address is that correct? Also when I do the whole set up and search and Add cameras it doesn't pick up and the controller itself takes long to flip to next. Is there a way to fix that.
The key is to follow the IP adress sequence the way I explain in the video for both the controller and the cameras. Once you have all the cameras connected let me know what problem you have to see if I can help.
How do you change the order of your cameras once you install them. I want them to be left to right 1 thru 4. currently they 1 is 1 but position 2 is 7, 3 & 4 are also correct. Had camera 2 go out and now the replacement says 7
I guess it depends on the order by which you added them or could be the IP adresses !! I don’t have the answer right now but you could test those 2 things
Jay, I notice that in the settings on the camera the Http port was 80 but the controller picked up the cameras on port 81. My controller is not connecting my camera and I'm not sure how to resolve. Did you set that up in settings or the controller automatically found port 81 for your cameras?
I was able to resolve my issue and I have full control of all my cameras with the controller. The switch the that use for my setup, requires a download to FULLY configure the settings of the switch. It allowed me to manually change them but would not save the GW setting at all. After downloading the app , the controller was able to see all PTZ cameras on that network.@@LiveProductionTips
@@skovyrniepl ok that’s possible with the remote that comes with the camera. If the camera is too far from you the best way is to access its web interface through its IP adress. You will have access to its menu.

Hello, I have some problems connecting AVKAM 20X ptz cameras with this controller, the first time it connected without any problem, now I can connect them, it sends me the message connection failed, can you please help me
@@LiveProductionTips Thank you for answering, the control recognizes the camera's IP but it sends me connection failed, the 3 cameras give me the same error
2:06 - Before you type in your camera ip into a browser you must first make sure your computer has been set to a static IP that is in the same range as your PTZ camera. Also make sure you don't have any Firewalls enabled on your wired ethernet network, and turn off any VPN you might have on (as all that will not allow you to connect to the PTZ)
@@jermainvidals4618 if you followed the tutorial that’s all you need to do. The Joystick will control the PTZ cameras and you need to find a way to connect to your computer either using NDI or HDMI or SDI

I have the same setup and camera that you have except for the Poe switch. My camera and controller are on same network however they are not connecting
Are you able to verify the IP adress of the camera and controller? Do the numbers match ?
Also make sure your camera has Onvif (in the camera’s menu turned on with no onvif authorization enabled).

do we need internet if we have one camera and one controller?
Ya they kinda have to talk to each other through a network. Unless you use a different controller that’s not IP
Does it work with Hikvision protocol and cameras?
It uses the onvif protocol which is standard on most security cameras, so it should. Check your manuals.
