That's cool, but ultimately unnecessary considering we're getting both a remake and a sequel to System Shock soon. I personally don't see a reason for this game to exist beyond Arkane paying tribute to a game they liked, which is nice, but I just would've preferred something more original.
Seeing as how this is the first true SS spiritual successor, I'd say it was pretty original. Even if it were the case, and the game wasn't original, I'd far rather play more games similar to System Shock than most triple A games shoveled out nowadays, to be honest. I enjoyed it far more than any of Arkane's previous games (even Arx Fatalis), and it's weird as I had almost zero expectations going into it, except for Chris Avellone's writing, which did not disappoint.
Prey (2017) is System Shock 3. I'm all for more games to be made in this vein, but this is easily the best title of this year. So, that's a reason for the game to exist. I'd be very surprised if subsequent efforts to reboot/remake the SS will be as good as Prey.
Lmao clearly someone never played either System Shock 2 nor Prey 2017. Bioshock is only a “spiritual successor to System Shock 2” in the marketing that had that sentence to help sell the game. Found a Limited Edition copy of Prey 2006, complete in box, with its tiny pewter figurines and everything inside it, in a Used Video Store and bought it for ~$15.00. Score!
Great video, though I would argue that you are wrong about all the people on Talos I being complicit in the human experimentation; large sections of the staff didn't know the Typhon existed, and people like Mikhaila and Dr. Gallegos were trying to find out/expose what was going on. Danielle and Elazar are were also good people who did not know Transtars dark secrets.
we were truely fortunate that a studio out there, against market trends, decided to make prey 2017, with all its amazing story telling, carefully crafted environments and awesome gameplay. It's just troubling knowing, with its average sales, we probably won't get anything comparable in the future ;_;
I actually didn't suspect the sim within a sim thing until I was around 3/4 of the way through Prey 2017, but I NEVER expected that I was a Typhon. I thought that was really brilliant and one of the funnest twists in a game since KotOR. They kept calling me "it" and I looked down in the chair only to see that my hands were made of Typhon material and not flesh and bone. A real moment for me. I laughed out loud at myself. I'd been had and I loved it!
2017 Prey is great. It hits on head why scifi is great. It takes its characters seriously and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. A good media produces multiple interpretations. I can't say my and Noah's match quite. But I can also see his reason. That's why it is great - multiple right ways, that tell us as much about ourselves, as the media's authors or the fictional world.
I saw the video made by the other YTer, Errant Signal, where he discusses the open-ended shooters like System Shock 2, Thief, Deus Ex, etc and naturally Prey 2017 came up. One thing he mentioned that the line you could draw between its heritage with System Shock and Bioshock was its name: "System Shock" being about computer systems, "Bioshock" being about altered biology and ecosystems, and "Prey" being about psychic abilities and altered psychology. A "psychoshock". ...and "Psychoshock" would have been x10 a cooler name then "Prey".
I'd say "But naming it the same as another game increases publicity to an extent', but I think 'Psychoshock' probably would've drawn comparison to Bioshock and Systemshock (if you're making them all one word, make them ALL one world) in the same way, possibly more so. But is it a truly proper successor to those games? What's the qualifier on that? Development team, studio, trademarks, structure, narrative, mechanics? Just curious, not trying to aggressively debate it, being that I think the outcome is that it'd be subjective (as art).
@@TheAdarkerglow It's definitely a spiritual successor because of its gameplay and level design, basically a prettier and more casual friendly version of system shock. From what I remember Arkane has almost no former Looking Glass or Ion Storm developers though, if that's a consideration for you.
@@remembertotakeshowerspleas355 what? Arkane ABSOLUTELY has Looking Glass and Ion Storm developers. Harvey Smith and Raph Colantonio both worked for Ion Storm during the development of Deus Ex and were tutored by Warren Specter himself. And there are other members on the Arkane teams who worked at Looking Glass
Hell, the name Looking Glass being used so heavily in the main story of Prey is already a large indication of people on the team having previously worked there
Actually the last choice post credits also happens to be in a simulation, for a split second screen "glitches" when you're looking at monitors, and if you manage to catch it: you can see the previous scene before you were turned around in chair, but Alex is missing ^^
Thanks for another thoughtful and interesting video. I've sunk over 75 hours into Prey 2017 and adored it for many of the reasons you mentioned. I felt it was by far the most detailed, evocative and believable environment I'd ever experienced in a game of this type (any other than a full RPG, basically). As you touched upon, the human stories and the rich details about their day-to-day lives worked superbly to create a truly believable, relatable place. I found it genuinely touching and moving to read and hear about D&D games and blossoming romances whilst walking amongst the subsequent carnage and corpses. And, luckily, I also greatly enjoyed the combat and 'grind'. I played on Nightmare difficulty and thus found myself constantly low on materials, making it a survival sim on top of everything else. And in combat I was delighted to find I had to very regularly combine multiple weapons and tactics in a single fire-fight. It was truly exciting, and unique to need to, for the majority of my playthrough, combine eg. Gloo with bullets with multiple Neuromod powers in order to survive. It resulted in periods of frantic, break-neck pace interspersed with longer, calmer periods of exploration, resource gathering (I all but stripped Talos-1 bare), crafting and of course reading, discovering and pondering. A great experience from a wonderful game, which I enjoyed far more than Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite. (I've still somehow not played System Shock 1 or 2, and now think I really must do so.)
Not saying the new Prey is a bad game, but I'm very disappointed we still don't have an actual sequel to Prey. The two games are completely different and I wish the new game had a different title, cause this one pretty much cements the future of the original.
I was disappointed to learn they dropped the Cherokee theming before release, because god knows (good) representations of Native peoples are rare enough as it is, but I'm not sure a "Prey 2" would have much of that anyway besides Tommy himself, given that he left the Earth behind.
You are right man I can sadly count on my hand the amount of games with good representations of Native people, it stinks that there is so little out there, it always upset me there was not enough of that. I have a cousin who is part Cherokee.
The first Prey didn't have a cliffhanger per se, but a very open ending that I was looking forward to checking out. I never said I wanted a rehash of the same story cause that would be super dumb, but I wanted a sequel to Prey not a sequel to System Shock.
I just finished Prey 2017 and absolutely loved it - it was the one immersive sim I hadn’t got to, and had heard good things, but I didn’t expect it to be so good. I thought the story was brilliant, and was impressed that the game engine and graphics kept up with every wild twist of the story (like the Apex Typhon). It really surprised and impressed me. Another impetus to finishing it was to then come back and listen to your review! Two treats in one!
In 2017:The cabin in the executive suite was a Trippy moment once you figure out it and the adjacent placement of its hallway is exactly the same layout as the "earthbound" apartment just minor changes such as the elevator being behind you and the room next door being Alex's
This is a brilliant analysis. I got several spoilers for Prey 2006, but I absolutely loved both parts of the video. Subscribed instantly! Instead of preferring one to another and trying to discover which one is best, I see that both are amazing games, for completely different reasons, like Half-Life and Deus Ex were back in time.
Damn man if anyone ever deserved a donation on patreon you are the one , these are more like documentaries rather than reviews and very interesting almost can't stop watching and listening ......just wow
I liked the faster paced ending. With the station overrun with Typhon minions and entangled by coral, with the terrifying Apex Typhon ready to consume Talos 1 at any moment, with dozens of lives hanging in the balance (I used the nullwave), I found it incredibly exhilarating to dash through the station with which I'd become so familiar. It really felt like all that exploration had paid off and I was able to careen through the hallways, ducking here and there behind this or that to avoid lasers and all sorts of Typhon projectiles. I had completed all the side-quests by this point (Except the treasure map, 25% of the drop points, and finding out about Mikhaila's dad) so I think this complete focus on the final catastrophe was made mush easier. The even scarcer ammo and the high number of enemies also made the mad rush totally invigorating, as some fights seemed simply unwinnable. On an unrelated side-note: The EVA sequences were awesome. Whenever I watch real shuttle EVAs or see it in movies, I'm almost never struck by the endless frigid void that could so easily swallow you up should you lose power or make a mistake. This game did it and then some.
I actually found crosbow toy useful for dealing with those radioactive blobs. Crosbow dart is a moving object and the readioactive buggers will chase it and explode on contact. Far more efficient, then shooting them down one by one, if no object to throw is available.
Finally someone gives Prey the time and attention that it deserves. So many people bash Prey 2017 simply because they wanted Prey 2 or because they are so used to the way FPS games are now that they don't want to give the game any time or attention. I found the latter out when a youtuber I used to watch, was playing Prey while talking about games on a podcast. You simply cannot play Prey while doing something else. It requires the full attention from a player in a world where asking that may be considered too much to ask for. Prey is a throwback.
Great game, and likely Prey 2 wouldnt have been as great as people thought. How many times has a game come out with new and exciting features and than actually manages to be the exact game it hyped itself up to be. Its not even like we will never get a si fi 80's inspired RPG now. Any developer could do that. In fact thats what CDPR is doing with Cyberpunk 2077 and that will probably be way better than what Prey 2 will be based on budget alone.
Well said, those people's dumbass opinions are why we don't have more game's like system shock 1 and 2, and deus ex 1, everyone wants streamlined shooter's now, well...........fuck them!!
actually it's my understanding as I live in the four corners area and involved in a lot of archaeological digs that for the most part the group referred to as the Anasazi the ancient ones we're more than likely a combination of vassal States control by the Maya or Aztec one of the Central or South American powers and as it being a vassal State and holy dependent on the strength of an Empire when the Empire crumbled they lost trade routes and the ability to keep their Community is thriving because of it
The ghosts being like that is so sad - Cherokee culture has a huge respect for evil and even just scary spirits. I’d love to see a game that actually embraces those myths.
"There is only one guarantee against mishandling inclusion of minority characters and that is speaking to and consulting with minority you are including." Bethesda take note. When they made Fallout 3's Anchorage DLC, the name they made for the Chinese stealth armor is no joke, how we say the N word in our native language. It was quite unexpectedly hilarious when I first saw it.
What sucks is that Prey 2 had not only an interesting concept and call backs to the original, but several of the devs (said in a video by Eurogamer) stated they were going in a new direction with death /respawn mechanic and that in turn would influence one of the endings. They even had mechanics that we would see in later games like Titanfall (in what capacity idk), but we'll never really know thanks to Bethesda.

I loved Prey 2017, especially the ending. It actually goes for the "it was all a dream" ending and doesn't half ass it. That's goddamn impressive, making an ending THAT CLICHE fascinating. It recontextualizes the entire game in a good way, making everything more complex, not less.
Yeah I think it's pretty impressive they managed to do what is usually considered an insulting cliche, but tie it to the world and story to actually improve it.
I just have to comment that I appreciate that you keep your little mistakes and "ahems" in the audio -- it makes speech feel so much more natural and enjoyable to listen to.
Yet another fantastic video! Totally agree with the combat focus shifting towards the end game, but I really found my stride with the upgraded movement mechanics and neuromods and had a blast ripping through aliens like a bouncing mad space ninja. Great game and I won't forget it.
Terrific video as usual. I doubt you're lacking in ideas for videos to do, but if you are I think maybe the Metro games or the Max Payne games would be some interesting topics for you to cover. I think they're both interesting takes on first and third person shooters respectively and think they're good examples of the imaginative/original use of game play, genre, and story that you usually cover.
Great video as always, of course. I'd just like to note(even though it's several months on now and totally doesn't matter) that the disruptor is incredibly powerful against anything robotic once it's upgraded and that the huntress is pretty effective against cystoids. So they have even more use beyond what Noah pointed out.

Just finished the 2017 title after having watched and having subsequently largely forgotten this review from a year or two before. I appreciate your examination of the game play and themes. I was intrigued by this review and remain intrigued by the game's themes after having completed it. Thanks for the heads up Noah. Worth the ride. Shame you couldn't have stopped what happened, but the exploration of what comes after the major mistake is engrossing nonetheless
What a fantastic video. I might never have heard of this franchise (I've been out of the loop on gaming for some time now) if I hadn't looked you up to see what you're currently up to. I appreciate your in depth analytical style and I'm glad that I can come back after all this time of being out of the gaming world and see that your are still here making incredible content. Thank you for being amazing
I loved prey, found it randomly at a GameStop, I was disappointed that prey 2 was basically a different game, Then was canceled for a remake of prey that wasn't similar in any way. That is with prey (2017) actually being interesting and a good game itself
What may sound silly is that to this day, Prey xbox 360 still feels next gen over most games and it is down to the simplistic beginning where you can interact with the sink, soap dispenser and toilet handle WITHOUT a button prompt. Alien isolation at first felt truly next gen until, no matter the settings or difficulty, forces button prompts and glowing orange item pick ups that all break the immersive atmosphere that the game rendered so well.
I loved so much from the intial Prey game and the rumours and teaser trailer for the sequel, which was unfortunately shelved, had me wanting more. Prey was so dramatic, especially the horrible death of Old Man Enisi. The pacing between events was good too. Although slightly faster than Half Life 2 did. The idea of having an additional layer on top of the world, namely the spirit world layer, is very incredible. Puzzles on 2 levels.
Thank you for doing this. I really enjoy your style, pace and thoughtfulness. I've been very divided on Prey '17. It's difficult for me to truly make up my mind about how I feel about the game. But in a way that division is interesting in itself. There is a lot to think about. A lot to process. You have an astute awareness of things I never paid any attention to.
Dude come down. If you did not like the new Prey than that's fine. But you do not have to go on a screaming fit and just write this really ranty comment on how the original Prey was just so much better than the original and that's all Bethesda's fault on why the original Prey 2 was cancelled(Even though it probably is, but still please dont's be a dick about it) Remember that we play video games to have fun and to immerse ourselfs in a crazy new world so please come down and be a little more calm when you express your opinions.
Dicks Guy I'm mixed on the not editing out flubs thing. I'm one hand, Joseph Anderson, another UA-cam critic that I follow, pointed out in a comment on one of Noah's videos the fact that patreon subscribers pay for quality content, and he should edit the flubs out of respect for the people paying money for this content. Remember this is coming from Joseph Anderson, who I at least consider the current king of long-form video game critique; a guy who is into his 30s and has more experience to speak on than I certainly have any to go on myself... And I kind of agree... Rather, I would with any other content creator, but this guy seems to deliver this as part of the package, and I can appreciate that in lieu of a more intimate and "down to earth" feel. Overall I say keep them in, it adds to it.
Great video, your analysis made me think more about my ending of the game and reconsider the final choice at the end. Prey 2017 really feels like an unsung game of this year but it's sunken it's teeth into me more than some of the game's it tries to imitate.
I like both prey games. And have very fond memories of the original. Of course the reason I have a hard time stomaching the new one is because it's a completely different game. Not a sequel, not a reboot. A different game which if it had had a different name I would have been able to play it.
I hope Human Head recovered in some way after the Zenimax cancellation of prey 2. I really love the guys, Rune and the first Prey are two of my favorite games of all time, and prey 2 was looking so much more exciting than the Arkane developed Prey.
They are a tiny company now, they can produce smaller titles or assist other studios, but they don't have the manpower to produce a game on the scale of Prey any longer, unless they handle the direction and the preproduction and get assisted by 2-3 other studios to actually produce it. But where would you find a publisher willing to do such a thing? Letting external company lead a production while publisher-owned studios do the leg work would lead to a lot of resentment, which is one of the many reasons why studios are so eager to be bought by major publishers. Also let's dice up some independent studios they might want to work with, Certain Affinity maybe.
Almost think I wanted the Prey 201x where you were a bounty hunter in a sci-fi neo-punk setting. But I'm glad it turned out to be a psych-horroresque D&D every weapon is a utility item kind of game.
EA sucks, but Zerglings still are cute. Seems you are still around. I can hope you have found something better to do with your life than raving about Indian ink blots.
I would have liked to see Prey 2 also, but it isn't this game's fault that it was cancelled. This game was only given the name "Prey" after Prey 2 was killed in a completely separate decision. This game is good on its own terms. Call it Neuroshock, and mourn Prey 2 as a separate issue.
forbidden_channel. exe we really aren’t tho. The gameplay even looked better/more fun. I’ve played Prey 2017 and it gets kinda boring and the only best thing really is the abilities. The Mimics are scary at first but eventually just become annoying af.

I remember the intro to OG Prey giving me legit nightmares back in the day. seeing innocent people getting butchered by disgusting and terrifying alien stuff while you couldn't do shit about, all the while hearing their screams and cries for help.

Still no excuse why they couldn't have called Prey 2017 something else and also no excuse to erase the original from existance. The IP's purchase was the one and only chance to see Prey 2006 see digital distribution again since it was flat out removed from Steam, and Zenimax/Bethesda chose not to re-issue it like they did with Doom 3 and Quake 4 and decided to make the other game instead, with absolutely no promise of releasing the original at all for preservation sake. Atleast rename the original as something else like maybe Prey: Invasion Edition. The new Prey is good, yes, but it bears repeating; why couldn't we have both games?

2:44 My favourite bit of weirdness that arises from the opening sequence of Prey is the fact that the Jukebox is fully interactable. You can cycle through quite a few songs before you trigger the Aliens’. However, when the Aliens arrive the Jukebox glitches and starts playing a song that was not available while you were wasting time at the bar. The only reasonable conclusion is that the Aliens hacked the jukebox to play ‘Don’t Fear the Reaper’ just so they could have a wicked cool soundtrack for their abduction.

I agree, this kind of thing are very little known even by people working within these kind of companies. It wouldn't work otherwise.
YEah the employees were subject to neuromod removal which made them forget the things they worked on.
we were truely fortunate that a studio out there, against market trends, decided to make prey 2017, with all its amazing story telling, carefully crafted environments and awesome gameplay. It's just troubling knowing, with its average sales, we probably won't get anything comparable in the future ;_;
And definitely nothing by Arkane. After Redfall, they don't really exist anymorr.
I personally like Neuroshock more, but there is a power in game called psychoshock
Reminiscent of the glitch in the helicopter sequence at the beginning
The two games are completely different and I wish the new game had a different title, cause this one pretty much cements the future of the original.
prey wasn't that successful though. not that it *wasn't* successful but it wasn't "famous"
I was disappointed to learn they dropped the Cherokee theming before release, because god knows (good) representations of Native peoples are rare enough as it is, but I'm not sure a "Prey 2" would have much of that anyway besides Tommy himself, given that he left the Earth behind.
I don't think we're ever going to get a more mainstream or talked about Cherokee game than Assassin's Creed 3.

As a Native, thank you!
Thanks for what? For gameplay? If so, thanks goes to the devs
you must be a skin walker
You’re probably like 2% native.

This video is absolutely fantastic in describing why I adore both of these games and why they stand out for entirely different reasons.
I love Prey, Art Bell, and your videos. excellent work and great coverage of id games!!
Oh gee, I wonder why people are whining like babies when they haven't even played the game. I don't bash Prey 2006, so don't bash Prey 2017.
actually it's my understanding as I live in the four corners area and involved in a lot of archaeological digs that for the most part the group referred to as the Anasazi the ancient ones we're more than likely a combination of vassal States control by the Maya or Aztec one of the Central or South American powers and as it being a vassal State and holy dependent on the strength of an Empire when the Empire crumbled they lost trade routes and the ability to keep their Community is thriving because of it
Glad that you made the Black Mirror comparison because I felt that this felt like a video game version of an episode.
Both Preys are some of the more interesting games I have played in their time.
The ghosts being like that is so sad - Cherokee culture has a huge respect for evil and even just scary spirits. I’d love to see a game that actually embraces those myths.
"There is only one guarantee against mishandling inclusion of minority characters and that is speaking to and consulting with minority you are including."
Bethesda take note. When they made Fallout 3's Anchorage DLC, the name they made for the Chinese stealth armor is no joke, how we say the N word in our native language. It was quite unexpectedly hilarious when I first saw it.
@Matt White You apparently cared enough to make a reply to a 2 years old post.

Man, it's a real pleasure to listen to/watch your work.
Prey 2017 is an absolute masterpiece
What sucks is that Prey 2 had not only an interesting concept and call backs to the original, but several of the devs (said in a video by Eurogamer) stated they were going in a new direction with death /respawn mechanic and that in turn would influence one of the endings.
They even had mechanics that we would see in later games like Titanfall (in what capacity idk), but we'll never really know thanks to Bethesda.
KrazyK785 for all we know thatbgame might have been terrible there's no gamplay fortage and even if there was it would be a pre alpha version of it so stop complaining and get over it
PowerVidsFul Well the game we got was really boring, so the mere idea of the open-world cyberpunk Prey 2 is much more exciting.
PowerVidsFul also, we did get gameplay footage, so not sure what you're talking about.
RossardJames prey alpha hell so no and just because you didn't enjoy it doesn't make prey 2017 a bad game i loved it
PowerVidsFul And for all we know it could have an amazing and revolutionary game instead of the bio/system-shock dishonored mash-up that we got, but as I said we'll never know! Sod off and have a nice day.
The only thing I remember about 2006 Prey is finding a secret room where wall vagina told me to "Behold"
This channel is fast becoming my absolute favourite. Thank you so much for your work, keep going.
This is probably one of the best video game critiques i have ever seen. I really want to play the original Prey now.
Damn sir, you're one hell of a wordsmith. It's a pleasure hearing you speak.
Gheringerbob12345 You got your wish!
Both Preys turned out pretty well for games with such long and convoluted development cycles.
Noah, you justo did a perfect lecture of Prey (2017). What an absolute brilliant annalysis of a game
Great video as always, of course. I'd just like to note(even though it's several months on now and totally doesn't matter) that the disruptor is incredibly powerful against anything robotic once it's upgraded and that the huntress is pretty effective against cystoids. So they have even more use beyond what Noah pointed out.
Listening to Art Bell at 1am while driving the 6 hours back home down I-80 after visiting my girlfriend at the time who was away at college. Thank you for reminding me of that fond memory!
Hey Noah. Starting my morning with coffee and one of your videos. I live south of Seattle and I really appreciate you and your contents. Thanks.
Thank god! Are there even any "0451" games left to cover?
Mafia III makes reference to it.
He covered the Mafia series
Ambient Malice Really? Where? I'm actually playing through that now
It's mentioned in dialogue as an elevator keycode. During the heist, I think.
Deus Ex, the original. He hasn't covered that one.
I loved prey, found it randomly at a GameStop, I was disappointed that prey 2 was basically a different game, Then was canceled for a remake of prey that wasn't similar in any way. That is with prey (2017) actually being interesting and a good game itself
It's unfortunate that the original Prey is a forgotten game, it was really unique and quite good overall
This is just what I needed for my Finals-induced insomnia.
Peter Hanson good luck with finals dude
What may sound silly is that to this day, Prey xbox 360 still feels next gen over most games and it is down to the simplistic beginning where you can interact with the sink, soap dispenser and toilet handle WITHOUT a button prompt. Alien isolation at first felt truly next gen until, no matter the settings or difficulty, forces button prompts and glowing orange item pick ups that all break the immersive atmosphere that the game rendered so well.
I wish that 2017 Prey had a different name. The two games had nothing to do with each other.
monotonous is not bad. i for one love your monotone voice.
I love Noah's voice.
So Doom 3, Quake 4, and Prey all have you fight allies turned into enemy hybrids.
"We couldn't make a shooter from that era, so we made a shooter modeled after a game from roughly 10 years before that era."
FrenchDipp and it's way better than that garbage linear fps from 2006
Dude come down. If you did not like the new Prey than that's fine. But you do not have to go on a screaming fit and just write this really ranty comment on how the original Prey was just so much better than the original and that's all Bethesda's fault on why the original Prey 2 was cancelled(Even though it probably is, but still please dont's be a dick about it)
Remember that we play video games to have fun and to immerse ourselfs in a crazy new world so please come down and be a little more calm when you express your opinions.
EA sucks, but Zerglings still are cute. Shut the fuck up lmao. You're insufferable.
John Stark "linear fps" somebody didn't play the gaaaaame
@Bethesda sucks, but Zerglings still are cute. you are so butthurt dude it's so funny
Another great video, thanks for doing what you do.
Great viedos! Applause to Noah
People who say Prey 2(Boba Fett Simulator) would have been more original and fun than Prey 2017(Space:Become Alien) are just deluding themselves.
forbidden_channel. exe we really aren’t tho. The gameplay even looked better/more fun. I’ve played Prey 2017 and it gets kinda boring and the only best thing really is the abilities.
The Mimics are scary at first but eventually just become annoying af.
Idk a boba fett game would be cool as fuck to me
@@mayonnaise3959 Well, yeah, an actual Boba Fett game would be pretty fun if done well. But knockoff Boba Fett in knockoff Star Wars? What's the point? Playing as a bounty hunter with cool space weapons is something you already do in basically every sci-fi game ever made.
I remember the intro to OG Prey giving me legit nightmares back in the day. seeing innocent people getting butchered by disgusting and terrifying alien stuff while you couldn't do shit about, all the while hearing their screams and cries for help.
I was about yo go to bed, but I can't help it! Love your channel =)
I like the mind bending elements of navigating through the first prey game
System Shock, Bio Shock, Deus Ex, Prey2017 these are all on my shortlist of all time favourite games. A few others are games such as Mass Effect 1-3, Soma, Xcom and Talos Principle (hah never thought of that, Talos Principle, Talos 1 space station)
I had such a good time with the OG prey but i also love the reboot. I wish we got prey 2 with tommy while still getting the reboot under a different name

Greatly done.
The loss of Human Head's Prey 2 and its planned expansion pack still hurts like hell

Fantastic video as always friend
2:44 My favourite bit of weirdness that arises from the opening sequence of Prey is the fact that the Jukebox is fully interactable. You can cycle through quite a few songs before you trigger the Aliens’. However, when the Aliens arrive the Jukebox glitches and starts playing a song that was not available while you were wasting time at the bar.
The only reasonable conclusion is that the Aliens hacked the jukebox to play ‘Don’t Fear the Reaper’ just so they could have a wicked cool soundtrack for their abduction.
