I just got these tires (all four) in 305/55r20 and took a 1500 mile trip driving over 75mph and had no issues at all, i actually really liked them, i also had no problem getting them balaced.
I just bought some and let me tell you they are very good for me truck don't vibrate, the drive is smooth and it's the first time I bought these tires, good purchased.
Low profile tires cause a rougher ride… guarantee if you go down to a 20” rim you won’t have the problems you have. You also have way too wide of a rim. But you already knew that. Lol.
Yes your right about if go to 20s I cause have spectacular ride quality but I just fully replaced all the tires with AMP Mud tires 35x13.50r24 and the completely fixed my problem of the shacking
@@lanchuk8522 I wouldn't go with KO2.. they last maybe 20,000 miles. Super soft and grippy, but they wear so fast. BFG actually recommends rotation and full alignment every 1,500 miles. Firestone Destination last much longer for primarily on-road applications. Remember, Venom Power has a 50,000 mile warranty on all tires up to 20". Which is phenomenal for any all terrain tire. BFG has a very limited 6 year defect warranty with no mileage/wear guarantee on any AT nor MT tires...
The reason everyone is complaining is not because these tires are garbage…they aren’t. I’ll bet most of these people complaining haven’t installed hub rings. That’s why it’s shaking. Most aftermarket wheels require a hub ring.
Nope watched video of guy with same problems with these tires and the hub rings did nothing. Hub rings don’t magically make out of round tires symmetrical 😂
I got 22x12 Akron’s on 12.50 venoms n had a little shake. Turns out I needed hub centric rings wheels bore was bigger then hubs bore. Got the ring no more shake
I’m having the same problem as we speak even with the hubcentric rings, well it’s got way better but it’s still Shaking at 50 to 65 and then it comes back at 80. I’m currently running 35 12.50 22
I have not run venom tires yet but like the RT. As someone who owns a company in a remote area we mount and balance our own tires and over the years I have learned a ton on balancing tires. This seems to me you may have got a bad set but I would bet it’s the tire shop you went to didn’t know how to calibrate their machine.
Same issue I had, have a pair of 22x11.5 and had the 33x12.5r22 Venom X/T all were horribly out of round, could not even get under 60 road force with a road force balance. Swapped to milestar patagonia M/T and all vibrations were gone.
Looking through these comments, it’s a common factor that everyone running 33’s with 22 in wheels send to have this issue. Everyone I’ve seen with 20’s that I saw say’s they’re fine.
My setup used to do this bad on a ram 1500 I used to have. It was the wheels in my case. Usually those cheaper wheels make it harder to balance. Just buy better quality wheels also.
I am having the same issue, anything over 50mph vibrating and shaking. I am rebuilding the front end and seeing where that gets me. If I have the same issue still then I will look at my tires 22x 12.50x35 on a 12 wide rim
You have to rebalance the tires after like 5,000 miles the tires become out of round during shipping but most all round back out after you ride on them.
Red Key, i am proud to see you being honest about these junk tires. I actually have a set of Dick Cepek 37x13.50 R20 on my truck that are shit also! I have about decided that you best bye name brand, Toyo, or Nitto, to get the best ride possible.
I am looking at these in a 33x12.50x24. I believe someone has given you bad information about "ROAD FORCED BALANCE". In RGB, the machine applies pressure to the surface area of the tire while it balances the tire. The RFB will give you the percentage of out of round. You can have the tire shaved to get it within 10% or better of 360 degree. I learned this information with my 2017 Denali 3500DRW
I have a set of these and they are trash. Ever since I put them on I get tire squish, road walk. Mine are 275/60r20 I've rotated, balanced time after time and problem is still there. It's not uppers or lowers, it's not my shocks or struts. Problem is the tires. Will never get another set of these tires
Yup I’m on 35x12.5 20’s and same thing and issues these tires are trash with major balancing issues and weird wear patterns. Vibration is terrible and I had to take these tires off after 4 months
I have 285/55/20 venom power XT on my 22 ram 1500 5th gen and I haven't had any issues. Smoothest ride ever and the road noise is abseloute sex all the shortys look over
My truck has bumpy ride at 55 and also bouncy when i hit any bumps. I dont think its my lift because all my shocks are brand new. The bounce is not pleasing at all and seems unsafe 37x12.5r20
yes they do and i didnt know that when i started building this truck i found out after i had this problem i just went off what the shop said would work for my truck and it didnt work out at all lol
Mines did the same thing got the company I got them from to give me two more to bc the shop said two of them where giving issues did you ever figure out the issue?
I am new to the game but I also didnt go in telling them how to do they jobs at the shop everything was recommended to me. I was told this is whats best and the smoothest ride for my truck
Yes you gonna have to swap those tires I balance mines like 8 different times over about 5000 miles still could not get them to break in once I swapped all my shaking was gone
I see tons of reviews on here on UA-cam and the biggest problem is guys with 1500 models putting LT 10ply tires on these lightweight trucks that should have P rated tires.
Guess ur unaware some 1500's require LT tires also. Has more to do with tow and payload ratings leaving the factory some trims are better equipped. Still has little to nothing to do with this guy's problem though.
@user-gg6om8vp4f 10 ply is pretty standard for a LT rated tire. A D load rating isn't too widely available and if we were talking load F u may have a case there as that is definitely overkill for a half ton.
You're stretching them too much. It doesn't matter what brand of tire you have, when you stretch them on a rim like that you're going to have problems.
I was thinking about getting these but MT 40x15.5. They are 1,000 less per set of 4 than the Toyo open country. I’ve gone through 2 sets of toyos 50k miles on each set. Looks like saving that extra 1,000 isn’t going to be worth it thanks so much for the review!
Don’t blame it on tires, theirs actually not snuff RUBBERBANDS around those giant wheels to shake if you want it to ride good get sum smaller wheels, Jesus Christ I don’t know what sum people think when they buy that garbage
i got 33x14.5 on 24x14 versatrye ride like DOG SHIT shakes like a bitch got them balanced same shit anyone know what tires are good?? that wont come out of round that are 14.5s??
So it’s crazy my tires don’t look stretched at all and I don’t know if they make it in a 14.50 the shop I went to to correct this ppl told me it will not make a difference because I was trying to do the same thing by going up to a 14.50

Yes thank you when they first put my rims on it didn’t have hub rings so I did get those installed but it didn’t fix my problem

I'm having a same issues with mine on a 33x13.50x24 You get a vibration in a shake at 45
