What the problem with 15 years ago civic 🤨 I owned one & it's good & super reliable 😊
I'm certain you know it is 2024. What about waiting for a few months, since 2025 is a few days away.
As we say good bye to 2024, would it not make more sense to pick best 2024 car of the year?
I would like to know what luxury vehicles did u test
the civic
Any picks for minivans?
The Honda CRV Hybrid may be your favorite but I refuse to buy a car with no spare tire. I just know that I will be stuck someplace out of cell phone range with a flat.
Man I never thought I would ever disagree with you but you gotta be kidding me How is that Mazda better than a Lexis for best sports car of the year
Cannot agree more
Have you ever test drove Atlas? Try it. Its not always about reliability only. Premium feel matters for some consumers. Vw is good with reliability as well apart from Taos
Hi Shari I’m surprised you picked the Honda CRV Hybrid for #1. I think for the $ it’s missing a few features and personally I don’t like the looks.
Im not sure about honda 4cyl cars. I had 2007 acura tsx. Many things broke except the Engine and Trans at 255k miles.
It will be amazing if Honda is still selling cars in 5 years
He likes Honda and Toyota the most. Looks like you can't go wrong with Honda and Toyota.
Nice video
Bought the Nissan patrol ti-l
The Civic doesn't wrap around you in the drivers seat like the old one, and I bang my head as I get in. It's also without character, bit boring really.
Model 3
If l didn't find the Civic Hybrid's appearance so uncomely, l'd be driving it today, instead of my 2020 Civic Coupe. But that overbite of a nose and conservative tail-end, it just doesn't excite me. The COTY for me is still the beautiful, frugal and sporty Prius AWD. It hits MY tarkets on the bullseye, and everyone else up here l know in the Great White North.
If your car is hybrid and it’s not Ford, it wins an award.
So basically buy a Toyota, Mazda or Honda.😂😂
Mazda 3
What about NX350h, where’s on the list
Not a new car.
That's a really great list. However, I have to disagree with the car of the year. I think the new Toyota Camry has much better value, offers AWD, has more available features, and it's cheaper to get a reasonable trim Camry than a hybrid Civic here in Canada. Not to mention, I looked at the Civic, and it's very boring looking in person.
Civic's having quality issues with steering rack & direct-injection fuel leak. I'd need to choose (or swap to) its 2024 port-injected 2.0 powertrain. & Mazda3 lacks ride comfort...
Nothing can fit in the backseat of a Mazda 3 a dog maybe not any people
@@dampergoldenrod4156 As long as these people's legs are short, Mazda3's rear bench can “squeeze 3 passengers across with less torture” comparing to almost any car including Civic, Corolla, Impreza, etc. The Forester (from almost a decade ago) is the champion in this area.
I will gladly take my 2020 Ford Edge ST over any of these.
Lexus rx350h
Mazda CX-50 Hybrid?
If your winner is the Honda Civic Hybrid, why did you buy a Mazda 3?
Don't like that the Civic hatch base model has auto stop/start on as a default. It appears that hybrid models don't have this. Anyone know why?
Hybrid engines run as needed. If it's off the electric motors are on
to make you spend more to get less...
@@MrKikoboy its a hybrid, once the engine is at or near operating temp it shuts off when stopped. Someone has no idea how a hybrid works
Perhaps not. The way I understand it, a hybrid engine could (?) suffer from the same wear and tear on the engine / starter battery as a stop/start feature of a gas powered car as the gas engine turns on / off when needed? Not sure if Shari has ever done a video comparing (explaining) these two. As I keep my cars over 10 years, i'm wondering which of the two would be the least costly in the way of repairs in the long run - or should I find one of the few gas powered vehicles out there? I'm weary of the increased bells and whistles (and technology) in new cars that will likely result in repair costs in the long run. Where are the simple cars?
@@marcelm5681 hybrids use 0w16 or 0w8...minimizes wear on start up. Hybrids are also programed to maintain engine temperature, thats means startups arent cold. Hybrids are actually more reliable than their nonhybrid namesake. No belt, no starter, no alternator, no 8 speed auto transmission thart needs servicing. Brakes last 2x as long as it uses a regenerating system when stopping. Hybrids are 27 years in the making.
I am surprised that you didn't mention the Toyota Camry.
No sedans?
