Hey, everyone! Apologies about the random skip in the beginning. 5 days after this video went live, WWE claimed what was originally a Here Comes The Pain trailer leading to it being demonetized which would also mean UA-cam stops promoting the content since it can’t make money. In order to keep it monetized and have the video (hopefully) continue to be pushed to new audiences, I had to chop that segment out so sorry again if it ends up being a little jarring!
Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain is just absolutely amazing. The graphics for its time was jaw dropping and the content gives you hours and hours of replayability. The amount of hours I put into the game is insane. I never, ever got bored of the game. I moved on but its because I had so many other games to play but man, this game is just amazing.
There's a reason why "smackdown: here comes the pain" always gets brought up in conversation when you talk about old wwe/wrestling games, this one is just INSANE and packed to the brim with content
It's a small little detail, but one of the things that I miss from this era of games, is how FAST the ref gets into position to count a pinfall. Almost instant positioning. If you check out the ref counts for recent games (Fight Forever, 2K23), there's this lag in timing that just doesn't feel right to me. I miss how it was. Made pinfalls intense.

One cool thing I did was basically turned Smackdown into an entire Cruiserweight-built roster show. Most of the roster was Cruiserweight CAWs and Billy Kidman was the WWE champion the 6 man tag matches were fun to play
Also I’d love a revisit of any of the following: No Mercy, Day of Reckoning, Smackdown vs. Raw 2008, and the modern GOAT that you and I both love: WWE ‘13

But don’t let the haters get to you on Fight Forever, I share your opinion 🤘
The amount of ours my brothers and I poured into Just Bring It! Here comes the Pain and Smackdown Vs Raw. This brings back so many memories! Our favourite things were back stage fights in the car park etc. Riding motorbikes, driving cars and interacting with your surroundings. New wrestling games aren't a scratch on these old titles.
One of my favorite wrestling videogames of all time. WWE Smackdown! Here Comes the Pain came out from 20 years ago back in October 27, 2003 on the PlayStation 2 console system. The very last Smackdown game in the series before THQ and Yuke's Media Future Creators made WWE Smackdown! Vs. Raw in November 2, 2004.
Best wrestling game ever. The ability to customize rosters and factions was awesome. Making my own faction and taking over in season was one of my favorite playthroughs in any game ever. This makes me miss my PS2. A remaster will probably never happen because it would flat out murder the recent WwE games in sales. The smart thing would be for next game to copy exactly all the mechanics, game modes etc; then use modern graphics and roster. But Vince 👀☠️
Definitely one of the best wrestling games ever made. Great video. As for other games? Need to do the GameCube trilogy. Wrestlemania XIX, Day of Reckoning 1 and 2. (Don't bother with Wrestlemania X8, plz) I'd also recommend Retromania Wrestling, Wrestling Empire, and Fire Pro Wrestling World if you wanna get away from the WWE stuff.
Best wrestling game of all time. The biggest problem is that Jeff Hardy was not in it. They had his model created and all his moves, etc but took him out last minute when he got fired.
I think that "Here comes the pain" is a masterpiece, for all of things: video graphics, gameplay, choice of characters (an incredible lot of choices!). To be released in 2003 for me this game is avant-garde
The same batch of game makers from Smackdown 2 did this however The Same Batch made Smackdown 1 and SD Shut Your Mouth is the same. There are so many Batches who made games for Nukes
This is in like my top 3 games of all time. There's so much to do, everything works, the addition of fighting stances and the high impact of the moves gives the gameplay a lot of character, there are so many environmental things to interact with, the create-a-wrestler is pretty alright, etc. It's such a deep game for being 20 years old. Modern wrestling games just don't have this level of depth, especially Fight Forever. There are fun aspects of FF, but there are also awful aspects. I haven't played it much. The Stadium Stampede looks like fun, but they really need to make this game fully cross platform because the PC community probably couldn't fill a full 30 player game.
I love this game, season mode was so fun , I remember it so well I worked so hard to win the royal rumble to get shot at Brock Lesnar championship, In the storyline that lead up to match I got to choose what type of match it would be , last man standing, submission, or cage match. . I choose the last man standing and proceed to have one of the toughest wrestling game match I ever had now or sense. Brock was like the final boss, I hit him no less that 7 finishers to keep him down. My wrestler finisher, I use his own finisher on him. He keep getting up. I hit by his few times , each time I I thought I lose. It was least ,30 minutes of real time trying to beat him. It long , it was tough and it was fun as hell. I was able to win and felt great. No other wrestling game has given me that type of experience since. It such a great game and great memories
Also wanted to give a shout-out to WWF: Attitude and ECW: Hardcore Revolution. I consider these games The Room movie of their respective field, in that they’re so terrible, they’re amazing haha. Terrible graphics, hilarious VO, ridiculous, Fatality-like inputs to register finishers and even standard moves, and the sounds of cracking a microphone/baseball bat/ring bell over your opponents head and watching them bleed endlessly was always hilarious. Quick shoutout to WWE: All Stars, too. That game’s underrated as a wrestling game.
The moves looked like they hurt I remember Brock’s double rib breaker , the camera work and presentation made it look painful. I remember using the exact same move on 2k it just looked flat
I loved this game growing up. I really think you should have mentioned the weird AI movement and other bugs. Such as having to completely cripple an enemy with a completely red body and have to pin them multiple times wjth multiple speical attaccks/submissions to win a match.... But overall a very solid game with some of my favorite wrestlers of all time. I liked WCW more than WWE, and this game featured my favorite wrestlers who switched to WWE upon WCWs cancellation.

@@rogregg29445Like the Rock used to say "IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!" Fight forever is nothing but HYPE kid...

Absolute classic wrestling game ❤
You should cover “Backyard wrestling”. A legit classic!
where did you get that rey mask? that actually fits your head pretty well and looks great!
My all time favorite. I still play it today.
(Don't bother with Wrestlemania X8, plz)
I'd also recommend Retromania Wrestling, Wrestling Empire, and Fire Pro Wrestling World if you wanna get away from the WWE stuff.
I never stopped playing it. I enjoy it even now.
2:02 he said the thing
Best wrestling game of all time. The biggest problem is that Jeff Hardy was not in it. They had his model created and all his moves, etc but took him out last minute when he got fired.
I think that "Here comes the pain" is a masterpiece, for all of things: video graphics, gameplay, choice of characters (an incredible lot of choices!).
To be released in 2003 for me this game is avant-garde
Dude Why is it muted?
I played this a lot back then, ome of my fave!
The same batch of game makers from Smackdown 2 did this however The Same Batch made Smackdown 1 and SD Shut Your Mouth is the same. There are so many Batches who made games for Nukes
Honestly, you should play the MDickie game “Wrestling Empire”
It’s so crazy and nuts, it has a lot for a game made by one person
Heck yeah, first he drew me in with the sonic games and now wrestling games. Ohhhh heck yeaahhhh
THIS WAS AN AMAZING GAME I REMEMBER PLAYING THIS AT 11 YEARS OLD
This is in like my top 3 games of all time.
Really enjoyed Showdown: Legends of Wrestling 1, too, even if it’s considered a mid wrestling game. It was fun lol.
This is not a game, this is millions emotion❤️❤️
Smack down 2 and here comes the pain...goated
The moves looked like they hurt I remember Brock’s double rib breaker , the camera work and presentation made it look painful. I remember using the exact same move on 2k it just looked flat
7:22 wrong game, that was Smackdown Shut Your Mouth
I've collected and played almost all of the Smack, Smackdown vs Raw, wwe2k Games but this game is still in my top 5 wrestling games of all time.
SmackDown vs Raw 2008 GM Mode was fire!
Best ever & they need to remaster this
I loved this game growing up.
2002-2007 was the golden era of wrestling games imo
I don’t think they would remaster due to copyright and the roster.
The greatest wrestling game of all time big W also u should try wwe day of reckoning its a classic for gamecube
