I know you’ve already watched V1 by this point but here we go.
The Red Trailer was completely animated by series creator Monty Oum as a proof of concept, who was in charge of the show’s fight choreography for the first two volumes. Unfortunately, Monty passed away between Volumes 2 and 3 due to an allergic reaction and now his friends and coworkers keep the series going. Currently we’ve just finished Volume 9 and are awaiting news on V10.
The music for the show is done by the Williams Family, Jeff and Casey Lee. This father daughter duo are killer and Casey actually took over for her dad in this latest volume. Casey was 13/14 when she sang for these trailers.
Blake’s weapon in the Black Trailer is called a ballistic variant chain scythe, which is a katana that collapses into a gun on a string and the sheathe doubles as a cleaver. Adam’s (Blake said his name when the final boss showed up) is a katana where the sheath doubles as a gun.
Yang’s trailer is actually my favorite (I love hand to hand combat fighters) and the music actually cycles through remixes of the songs from the other three trailers before we hear the remix of Yang’s own theme at the end.
Also, the soundtracks to each volumes are super good and give amazing insight into characters and are worthy of their own reactions. I recommend FlyntofRWBY for the lyric videos if you can.

From Casey herself, she was actually 11 when she sang Red trailer, 12 for the rest.
So the red trailer was animated only by Monty Oum.
Only took Monty 2 weeks too,The White Trailer was also animated only by Monty and Shane Newville helped Animate the Black and Yellow Trailers. The Reason is Shane was working on his own Project the Megaman X fan animation where as Monty helped out with additional Animation for the vid.
Fun fact the twins that Yang fights in her trailer were early concept art for Ruby and Weiss that they decided to reuse.
Weiss's singing voice is supplied by Casey Williams (who sings the openings also), while her speaking voice you hear in the series is by Kara Eberle, the former receptionist of Rooster Teeth. Barbara Dunkleman (Yang) was a Canadian super-fan of RT who eventually joined the company.
Fun Fact! All of the trailers are entirely cannon. Weiss used to be a professional singer!
Near the end of the Red trailer, Ruby points her weapon backwards to launch herself towards the Beawulfs. Sh was going to do this while she and Weiss were surrounded in the Emerald Forest, but Weiss stopped her. But now you know how Ruby was going to solve the problem in very short order and impress Weiss. The Red Trailer was my introduction to RWBY and I was immediately hooked.
So the deal with copyright is that the rooster teeth crew really does enjoy the reactions and when it was a smaller show and a smaller company, they could very easily get rid of all of the copyright issues. Now that they are under a larger company and there's more hoops to jump through, they should. Hypothetically eventually remove copyright but it takes a lot longer and it's not as guaranteed as it used to be. I understand people are going to be disappointed, but editing really is fine, you'll be okay and they'll be okay, I know that you'll get the main parts of the episode in and everyone will just have to deal with that.
This not a dig at you but.. what RT crew? Their company is dead. It died even before Burnie Burns left. Trust me, I was there in the early 2000's. I watched what happened to them, its a tragedy. All that is left is a husk filled with ego and disappointment.

I'd rather not let our opinions of RT's history or staff or changes influence the reactor. It's kind of nice to see someone just enjoy the show at face value without all the background of the company.
According to the RWBY manga, Weiss's fight against the Armored Knight was her father's test that she had to pass before he would allow her to attend Beacon Academy in Vale instead of attending Atlas Academy closer to home.
19:40 Yang's eyes go from lilac to red when she activates her super-mode.
Also, the lyrics to the song in Ruby's trailer references each of the four girl's trailers.
"Red like roses fills my dreams
And brings me to the place you rest" is about Ruby herself and her visiting her mother's grave.
"White is cold and always yearning
Burdened by a royal test" is about Weiss and her test with the Armored Knight, as well as her yearning to be free from her family.
"Black, the beast descends from shadows" is about Blake and her shadowy and stealthy nature, as well as her being a Faunus.
"Yellow beauty burns gold" is about Yang and her fiery demeanor and attractive appearance.
The trailers are canon for the series, prequels
I saw al the trailers before the volumes came out and it was so exciting. I love Red and Yellow the most! I might have never gotten into RWBY without seeing the Red trailer! RIP Monty Oum, one of the best.
Mind you, it is the holidays so they're probably short staffed.....you may have better luck in the Springtime.
Many American companies run on skeleton crews in December because everyone's trying to cram in last minute vacation hours, etc. before the new year.

After Volume 1 the production was given a better budget due to how well Volume 1 did. The reason why the "Shadow People" were actually not that detailed was that they had a limited budget, after Volume 2 onward the quality of animation becomes better.
a little information, rwby has also been adapted into a Japanese anime by the studio shaft with the title RWBY: hyousetsu teikoku,If you want you can see a comparison of the original version with the anime version
Is that ice Queendom or an actual alternative adaptation? Cause IQ has an entirely different plot because it’s more so talking about the happenings between the volumes.

Yang's bar fight is (very loosely) inspired by The Bride vs. the Crazy 88s in the action movie Kill Bill.
Ruby and Yang have the same dad. The theory is that crow is Ruby's actual father, but I don't think it's been proven.
Melanie & Masha (the black haired Asian girls in Red & White) were the OG models for Ruby & Weiss that Monty developed. He liked them enough to reuse them in Yang's trailer as antagonists.

I don’t know if you’ve been informed yet, but when it comes to the cast of RWBY.
Each one of the characters is based off of somebody from literature.
Ruby is actually based off of red riding Hood.
Weiss is based off of Snow White
Blake is based off of beauty and the beast
And Yang is based off of Goldilocks.
The interesting thing is when it comes to team JNPR they are actually based off of literary characters who crossdressed. The interesting thing is that each character is based off of the gender they crossdressed as.
Jaune is based off of Joan of arc, a woman who dressed up as a man to join the army.
Nora is based off of Thor, who had one point had to disguise himself as a an attempt hammer back.
Pyrrha is based off of Achilles, whose mother actually forced him to cross dress to try and prevent him from joining the Trojan war.
And Ren is based off of Mulan, who dressed up as a guy to join the military to prevent her injured father from joining instead.
Each character in the show is based off of some literary character. It’s very interesting to try to figure out who.
Shame the new writers abandoned this concept the minute they ran out of ideas.
