20:49 HE SAID IT! HE SAID THE THING!!!
Also, because of something called Aura in the show, this girl, Ruby, could most likely bench twice her own weight. This is why she, and everyone in the show can perform such amazing feats of strength. Like punching a concrete pillar and a state of the art mech suit to pieces... both done by the same person in the span of a few minutes.

Some trivia without spoilers, so this will be just a tad long. lol
Monty Oum is considered by many to have been a genius in CGI anime fight choreography. Sadly, in 2015 he died from an allergic reaction to a medication. He'd been getting an allergy shot when he had a reaction to it. Unfortunately, the medication they gave him to counter it was a previously unknown allergen to him as well and he died from the reactions.
This trailer was done as a proof of concept by Monty Oum himself, to his management to get the series off of the ground. It did well enough that he did another, the White Trailer. They decided that they'd give it a shot and he finished the Black and Yellow trailers to round it out. However, by that time, he'd been given a budget and voice actors to help with it.
The Trailer's music, and the series OST up through season 8, was done by Jeff Williams as the composer/musician. He had his daughter, 12 year old Casey Lee Williams, be the vocalist, and who later helped take over for her dad when he retired from the series after season 8.
When the series was green-lit for a 1st season, she was chosen, at 14 years old, to be the primary vocalist for the OST with her dad doing vocals with her in some songs. Her mom, Sandy Casey, did a song with Casey Lee for the OST as well. It was Red Like Roses Part II, while Red Like Roses Part I was the music for the Red Trailer. Red Like Roses Part II is a hypothetical conversation between the girl in red, the girl sung by Casey Lee, and her mother sung by Sandy Casey, who is supposed to be who the headstone in the Trailer is for.
For reference about how low the budget was, the VA for the girl in the 2nd Trailer, the one in white who 1st talks in the 1st season, was brought in by Monty himself. He had gone to the company's receptionist and asked if she'd considered doing voice acting. She said no, and he told her that she should give it a try. So she did and she's been the VA for the girl for the entire series. So, early on, all of them are pretty new to voice work.
Due to the low budget, Monty was only given a few CGI animators to help. Their limitations for budget and time is the reason for the lack of details in the beginning seasons. They were also using a free version of Poser as the animation software. Later, a little while after Monty had died, they switched to Maya for the software.
However, due to the series' popularity, including being considered the 1st anime exported from the U.S. to Japan, with their own Japanese dub VAs, the budget increases each year, adding more and more animators and increasing the quality. To the point where I'd argue that from volume/season 6 and up you start getting into more mainstream/movie quality animation. They also get some very well-known VA artists to do voices in the series, with a couple being regular secondary characters.
Even with the popularity of the series bringing in bigger names, Casey Lee is considered to be the vocalist that everyone wants to have as the OST's singer. Most everyone who watches the series wouldn't consider it to be really RWBY without her doing the vocals. One of the things you'll be able to enjoy if you watch the series, is hearing Casey's voice mature over the years. The music never fails to impress.
RWBY is popular enough in Japan that it's been shown in theaters, on TV, and had a spin-off Japanese anime series. Though Rooster Teeth had been doing the series Red vs Blue for many years, it was this series' popularity that got WB to purchase the independent animation studio.
Hopefully you will end up watching the series, and if you do you'll notice how the budget increases each season. The series is considered to be a story, thereby the episodes are considered as Chapters and the seasons as Volumes.
One thing you will find interesting to look for is that all of the characters are based off of real or fictional characters in history. Some are gender-swapped versions of the character, so keep that in mind. To start you off, as can be clearly seen in the trailer, the girl in Red is Red Riding Hood. Have fun trying to figure out what character represents who.
That's enough trivia for now. I hope you enjoy watching the series, whether here or on your own.

There is an action/hack and slash called RWBY Grimm Eclipse but its not really that great, I mean it's an ok 10 dollar game but I wouldn't pay more than that personally since it isn't super deep. But there are RWBY characters in Blazblue Cross Tag Battle so I think that's the best we are gonna get as far as fighting games go. Also I'm still watching so I just heard you ask about the gravestone, it says Summer Rose - Thus Kindly I Scatter. It is the Grave of Summer Rose, The MC's mom which I would say isn't really a spoiler, it just adds context. Also since you mentioned no words spoken, the music actually is introducing the 4 main characters, each they say "red like roses fills my dreams and leads me to the place you rest", "White is cold and always Yearning burdened by a royal test", "Back the beast descends from shadows", "Yellow beauty burns gold". Some give a bit more info about the character that you can make the connections to as the series goes on and the others serve to make the connection to the fairy tales the characters are based on, like yellow burning gold and black being more of a middle ground because it hints at the fairy tale origin and things associated with their story. Overall this first song doesn't give away much info since the lyrics are only until the fight starts but the music in RWBY is very relevant to the characters, their stories, and the ongoing story as a whole, if you want as few spoilers as possible I'd recommend listening to each vol OST at the end of each volume, aside from the music being relevant to the story the OSTs go hard af.

Sorry, this gets long, but there’s a lot to cover ^_^;…
This trailer was animated solely by Monty Oum, I believe… It was essentially his proof of concept for the show… I think I heard somewhere that the wolves were originally from an Elder Scrolls game… The design for the creatures is different in the show itself…
I think it should be readable, but if memory serves me correctly, the stone marker says something like “Summer Rose” then, under that, “thus kindly I scatter”.
RWBY is a somewhat flawed show in many ways, yet it’s one of my favourite works of media… From its humble and very low budget beginnings, to the craziness it becomes… A really cool science fantasy world (similar to some of the more modern themed Final Fantasys, like 7 and 8) mixed with fairy tales, charming characters, all sorts of neat references to things… Some really cool fights and action sequences… The music is way better than it has any right to be… Don’t do it yet if you plan to watch the show (there is potential spoilers if you dig into the lyrics) but if you go back to the songs after seeing the first volume (season), then they mean more… Well some do anyway lol…. anywho, if you can’t tell, I thoroughly recommend checking the show out… At least up until Chapter (episode) 8 (inclusive). The episodes for the first volume are pretty short, so it’s not too much…
The company that owns the show, while it’s fate seems uncertain right now, are currently positive towards reactions, so it might be good for content… UA-cam does sometimes autoblock their work, but they will typically release blocks if you contest them or email their fan project department… There is a chance they will likely claim any monetisation though… If you don’t care about that, it’s pretty easy content.
If you plan to get into the show purely for the fight choreography, I will warn you that the show’s creator and lead animator, who is responsible for this choreography, died during production on volume 3, relatively early in the show’s life… There are still arguably some great fights and such after this, but naturally there are a bunch of changes over time… After volume 3 there are various divisive factors amongst fans at different points… But yeah… Maybe you’ll enjoy that.
Oh and there’s probably loads more, but about the ammunition Ruby switches to near the end… Depending on how blind you wish to go into things, I wouldn’t say it’s a spoiler, it’s mostly just a little background information that’s partly explained in the show, but just in case you wanted to learn through the show instead, you might want to stop reading this comment here…
Ok, so, this world has crystals with elemental properties, sometimes used in a powder too… These are referred to as “dust”. Based on the effect, physical and visual, I believe Ruby has switched to ammunition that includes gravity dust. If you watch the White trailer, you may see more examples of dust in action.

Loved your analysis and break down! RWBY started with a shoestring budget but it didn't matter because it was cool af.
Monty was known for saying 'Fighting is like dancing' and I think that's a great statement. Later seasons slowly lose that and I feel that's why RWBY started to suffer.
Monty did this whole thing by himself. He's amazing. Some of his earlier work is Dead Fantasy which is FANTASTIC fights between Final Fantasy girls vs Dead or Alive girls. Give that a look too, it's really great

Where are all these wolf coming from?
Well they are called Grimm and they are attract to negative emotions, and our main character is like a magnet for Grimm sometimes.
