Hiking the Pristine White Sand Dunes, New Mexico

We loved the beautifully serene dunes in my 35th National Park. While in New Mexico, we headed on a day trip from Las Cruces, a charming artsy town! It was windy, sand blowing everywhere, and we enjoyed the short hike.
A small plane had recently crashed and although no one was hurt, the majority of the park was closed for the investigation.. Luckily there was one turnout to get a short hike in, we loved the experience. We returned that evening to get a glimpse of the sunset.
