  • The Kosovo Uprising of 1944 was a significant event that took place in the region of Kosovo during World War II. It was characterized by Albanian resistance against the Yugoslav Partisans, who were led by the Communist leader Josip Broz Tito. The uprising occurred in the context of the larger struggle for control over Yugoslavia between various resistance groups. During World War II, Yugoslavia was occupied by Axis forces, and a diverse set of resistance movements emerged to combat the occupiers. The two major resistance forces were the royalist Chetniks, led by Draža Mihailović, and the Communist Partisans, led by Tito. In Kosovo, which had a significant Albanian population, there were also local resistance movements seeking autonomy and independence.
As the war progressed, tensions increased between the Yugoslav Partisans and other resistance groups, including the Albanian nationalist groups in Kosovo. The Albanian population in Kosovo aspired to establish an independent state or to unite with Albania, and they were wary of the Communist Partisans' intentions to incorporate Kosovo into post-war Yugoslavia. In 1944, the situation reached a breaking point, leading to the Kosovo Uprising. The Albanian nationalist groups, such as the Balli Kombëtar (National Front), rose up against the Yugoslav Partisans. The uprising was marked by intense fighting, with both sides engaging in violent confrontations. The Yugoslav Partisans, supported by Allied forces, eventually suppressed the uprising and solidified their control over the region.

Kosovo is a Serbian land. Albanians moved to Kosovo during the Ottoman occupation.
The Ottoman census of 1455 shows that 99% of Kosovo's population at that time was Serb.
Albanians begin immigrating to Kosovo after the Great Migration of Serbs in 1690. When Serbs were forced to leave Kosovo massively under Turkish persecution ...
However, Serbs made up the majority of the population in Kosovo until 1878 and the persecution committed by Albanians and Turks during the Serbian War of Independence 1876 - 1878.
But Kosovo is a Serbian land and an example of population replacement, which also awaiting Europe ...
Likewise, Europe's native Christian population will gradually be replaced by Muslim Immigrants...
Serbia made the great mistake of not expelling all Albanians in the time of Kosovo's liberation from the Turks in 1912.
In the time of Yugoslavia, Albanians in Kosovo had an autonomy that no minority nation in the world had, they even had a university in Albanian language.
Albanians used their autonomous government power to continue harassing and persecuting the remaining Serbs from Kosovo, until Serbia intervened in 1990.
Albanians have no right to live in Kosovo, and especially have no right to proclaim their "state" in the Serbian Holy Land, because Kosovo for Serbs is the same as Jerusalem for Jews.
As from 0% of Kosovo's population, Albanians came to 90%. It will also return to 0% again.
There is no measure that can describe the degree of hatred of Serbs towards Albanians. Albanians simply have no future in Kosovo, the Serbs will arm themselves, create a strong and modernly equipped army. And when the time comes, we will expel Albanian invaders from Serbian Kosovo.
If anything, we would rather burn Kosovo with Nuclear Weapons than leave Kosovo to Albanians.
It is best for all Albanians to move out. Germany, USA, Canada, Australia have a great need for immigrants. Albanians would also be better off there than in Kosovo.

My grandfather was a partisan officer of KNOJ (military corps in charge of clearing liberated territories, something like the NKVD role in USSR), and was posted in northern Macedonia in 1946.-47. leading soldiers in clearing pockets of Balli Kombetar aka Balistas in the mountainous region on the border with Albania and Kosovo, the Šar planina.
He told me that a substantial number of communist oriented partisans of Albanian origin had switched sides due to previous very harsh treatment of Albanians during the first uprising, and since they were both well trained and well armed and very cognizant of the terrain, it took a lot of work to push them out of that region and force to dissolve or surrender.
All sides there did lots of atrocities and the local fighters were eager for personal revenge, often directed towards the closest village of the "enemy", whether it had anything to do with a crime commited previously vs their side in the area or not...
My grandfather was sent from Zagreb and as a Croat had no personal national grudge, but his troops were of Macedonian origin, and often neither the Albanian Balistas neither the partisan local troops (Macedonian and Serb) held to rules of war, and that a lot of the surrendered prisoners on both sides would get summarily shot. My grandfather was unable to control his troops in preventing them from perpetrating those crimes, else his own head would be in danger from his troops fighting for revenge. He was extremely happy when his shift there ended, as he felt that this fight had nothing to do with restoring order but just tribal and national hatred and revenge on civilians...
He did say that orders from up top never condoned that type of unmanly behaviour, but he did blame the communist regime of not understanding the problem in the location and not doing enough to prevent those crimes by reinforcing with non-local troops which would most likely conduct those operations much more cleanly than the local ones did.

On recent rethoric, it is widely portrayed that Albanian partisans of E, Hoxha from Albania proper helped Tito subdue the Albanian patriots of BK in Kosovo, but i have an impression that Albanian partisans retreated once the war was over and the massive reprisals happened afterwards. Even in Albania proper, the liquidation of BK were common but happened after the war ended, mostly in 1946, since my great uncles were executed in the process around that year. Go figure what happened in former Yugoslavia with all the ethnic tensions and such.
Yet, i feel that the ww2 history books are unfair toward Kosovo people, who had no idea about communism or fascism. All they had known was Serbian boot, and when Germans invaded, for first time in their lives, schools were opened, administration started speaking in Albanian and for those people, the fact that Nazi occupation was liberty, was considered so in a level relative to Serbo-Yugoslav occupation...tragic if you think about it. And most probably they had no idea what was happening to slavs, jews, roma etc. Nazi plan was to leave whole Albanian regions under Italian patronage, and judging by their policies here, they had no intention in assimilating Albanians like they had with Slavs in their "Lebensraum".
I just felt like i had to share my perspective. Even in Albania, little is known about what truly happend in ww2 Kosovo.

It is not that I want to justify all the carnage in the 1990's Kosovo wars, but from what I learned today I can understand that a lot of hatred was passed on for generations of Kosovo inhabitants about what TIto did here. So sad. I remember seeing from what I thought was a Kroatian with a Hitler mask on in one of the papers in the 1990's, I was utterly shocked. Little did I know then about the multivaried collaboratiive and resistance parties in WW2 in this area. It was and is such a mult-fabricated area of people at the same time trying to live together and against each other for generations......if somebody gets to get all parties in these countries at peace some time forever. he deserves a Nobel prize just for trying it.

My grandfather was partisan officer in Kosovo during uprising 1945,so this is fascinating to me.He said it was strange role to him because after 2 and half years of guerilla fighting in Serbia suddenly HE was part of regular force trying to fight Albanian guerillas. Didn't recollect big battles, just small skirmishes. Remembered how dangerous were Albanian sharpshooters.Yugoslav officers were ordered not to use their horses because that made them out as targets. He said immediate reason for uprising(among others) was forced mobilization of Albanians in Yugoslav army to fight against Germans and other Axis. Said initial uprising was badly handled by local partisan government and forces who "made a mess of whole thing", and then it escalated until serious forces had to be brought in from other regions.

Can you also make a video about Serb colonization of Kosovo please ?
"The first brief attempts at colonisation were made by Montenegro and Serbia during the Balkan Wars and First World War.[7][8] Following the end of the wars and the creation of Yugoslavia, the interwar period experienced the most colonisation activity. Between 60,000 and 65,000 colonists, of whom over 90% were Serbs, settled on the territory of the former Kosovo Vilayet captured from the Ottoman Empire in 1912.[9][10] In addition to them, numbers of state bureaucrats and their families also settled in Kosovo.[11] Along with Serb colonisation, a policy of forced migration of ethnic Albanians was implemented, enlisting the participation of Turkey to resettle them in its territory.[12][13][14]"
For example how the Serb population went from barely being 10%-15% to going up to 39% .And the Albanian dropping down to 60%.

The Albanians never wanted to be part of Yugoslavia. Neither in the first Yugoslavia nor in the second. There were always uprisings and riots. They felt foreign in this state and were perceived that way. The name "Yugosavia" (South Slavs) shows that the Albanians could not be part of it because they are not Slavs. They also faced severe discrimination. Never again. But in peace and with good neighborly relations in future✌❤

If you are young , just find how many Albanians there were into the towns of first Yugoslavia , and up to 1970ties in second one .
      There were
Albanian Shiptars in the mountaineus villages only .
And name the Albanian artefacts or monuments before Othoman Empire in towns .
You are old entity since common Indo-Europeans preserved as primitive paisants with no civilian progression as an entity for milleniums .
Shiptars came in South Yugoslavia outh of bushes to sabotage uprisings against Ottomans and later on to sabotage the uprisings against Gestapo .
After WW2 you had Muslim fatwa to make children up to 12 in the family in order to sabotage the development not only of Yugoslavia but of Europe too .
Slovenia and Croatia didn't like to stay any more in Federation because the huge percentage of national income was distributed for developing of Kosovo .
Step by step Kosovars became more and more silly , raping Orthodox girls , and ruining Churches .
It is not true that people must be the same but you think that must have your Great Albania thinking that you will have better reputation .
But even with the Great Albania you will remain just rude wild entity .
Ask your father where are located your Shiptaran old cemeteries prior to your muslimanisaton by Otomans ?
All Balkan is an Old Substratum of entities made by mixing with litle percentage of Slav European migrants but you are migrant the same as Greeks and Maltese aboriginal substratum of Mauritanian that came in Balkan among domicile Substratum of Europeans .

Yes. Serbs were the villains. Only nation whose army was not allied with the Axis. Just because someone hates Serbs doesn't mean he can lie about it and equalise actual nazis with Serbs, when there's war, killing makes you "a side", not "a nazi". And btw, it was ustasha's specalties to turn the -U- into a * on the top of their head in the late days of war. And Chetniks weren't nationalists per se, unlike ustashas or hanjar division, which were formed unto nationalist ecstasy for purposes of cleansing the lands from Serbian population (indigenous from Dalmatia to Epyrus). They were no revolutionary guerilla that turned into an "official" army, they were a regular army as much as possible, Royal army of Kingdom of Serbia and later Yugoslavia, who automatically became a guerilla when Germany occupied Yugoslavia, which I think is a highly logical thing to happen under occupation. Now the thing everyone is quiet about is that, as always, the damned british empire did the political dirty work behind the scenes, empire which is an enemy to all of mankind, for both their people and other. They switched funds to Partizans. And noone asks why in the flying fck should they decide about funding someone in the first place (khm ukraine israel khm km). The answer is because they are evil scoundrels and i hope the Scottish, Irish, Welsh and the english People will soon be free from these bunch of lies, and that every influence of "sirs" and "lords" and other incestuous evil scum will be looked upon with humour and mocking.
Back to Yugoslavia: Germany formed "voluntary" corps through Gestapo, either by bribing or threatening regular prisoners, and placing them together with Vojvodina Germans (Volksdeutscher) to serve as "Yugoslav army belonging to the Third Reich" under occupation. They were all dealt with properly in the meantime, for your information. And not to delve deeper within, killing nazis and burning villages which were hiding or giving birth to nazis can't be counted among "atrocities".
      FU.

Sure the anti-Naci Chetnik guerrilla movement fought against the Albanian Naci sympathizers which were subsequently declared "civilians".
The same happened with the Bosnian Mushlims who volunteered or were recruited into Ustasha units of the NDH or even directly served Naci Germany as SS units and all their losses suddenly become "civilians" overnight. The original name will always be Dardania, it was so in ancient times, under the Romans/Byzantines and in later documents/books, but you changed it, because you have no connection with it. Also, important is to note that during 1939-43 Balli Kombëtar never allied with Italians and fought against them, and they even agreed to join forces with communists and royalists to fight them in what is known as LANÇ, but Tito's influence on E. Hoxha pushed them away. One of the main exponents of BK even commited suicide when partisans ambushed a unit of BK, because he had given his word of honor that Albanians, in no circumstances, would spill fellow Albanian blood.
The greatest tragedy of our nation, is not losing more than half of our territory in 1912-13 period, but liquidation of Balli Kombtar. With the communists rise to power, our nation lost the patriotic elite whose principles were against any form of oriental and eastern influence. For the sake of "political corectness" many skip the fact that Balli Kombëtar even replied officially to Nazi authorities that they would not chase the jews, and they even saved many jewish prisoners by reporting them as simply "communists".

I experienced that mutual animosity first hand at Pristina in 1989. The Serbs in Belgrade would thump their hearts and cry Kosova, as a sacred part of Greater Serbia/Yugoslavia. They also refered to Bosnian Muslims as Turks. IIn an Pristina the Kosovans told me unequivocally that they were Albanians, which waa all very confusing if all you had was a map.
In Pristina two hundred people has been killed in the mounting troubles. One could cut the atmosphere with the proverbial knife. On the station, waiting for a train South, two bored Serb militiamen searched my bag and were very complimentary about my red & black drawings. Later they bound over the tracks and beat up an old Muslim guy wearing one of those white fezzez which are very popular there. I didn't see the conclusion as my train to Thesalonika came in and I went away.

Serbian refugees only had control of that region for less than 100 years, But, Albanians have had control there for thousands of years, this is why Albanians, call the place Dardania.

@@HistoryHustle you need to read the Roman History, when, Roman Emissaries came to Meet Attila, they noticed in his court, fighters that they called slaves, or servants, when the Alans and Huns lost power, these people became free and they started settling in the Balkan lands, but, the name stuck, the word Servian, has no meaning in the servian mongolian language, it only has meaning in Latin, servare--to serve.
Servians were Hunter-gathers, who were domesticated by the Iranians, this is why their language and DNA has Sanskrit in it.
All Historians agree that Servians are immigrants, there are Byzantine Documents from the 9/10th century that describe the immigration of Servians, the Empire allowed them to stay because it was weakened by the Arab Wars, but, Servians betrayed them and did not help in wars, instead when Byzantine soldiers were fighting in the Asia Minor, servians pillaged lands, so, Byzantines deported many of them to Asia Minor from where they came, but, in the 8th and 9h century they came back, and the Empire was weak, so, a deal was made to domesticate them, by giving them Christian religion and a language that would make them understand that Religion--think about it, Christianity came to Balkans in the 1st century, even Bible speaks about Disciples preaching in Balkans, but, we have a large tribe of people who had no contact with Christianity until the 8th century, and they are supposed to be living in that region, lool
this is why many Historians say that Servians are not ethnic people, and the Churches in Kosovo are not even their, Imagine a region near the Adriatic cost, Macedonia, and Greece, had no Churches, no People, and no Religion until 1300 after Jesus death?
      looool
Look at the Ancient Maps, Kosovo had regional border, before servians existed as people, Historians say that this shows that a Tribe existed there, watch how there is nothing Servian in those Maps, and then in the 14th century when servs invade it, everything changes, so quickly, but instead of seeing ancient names, you see Servian names that have no connection to the history of that region, this is a solid evidence that Servs are invaders, they are not natives, and they will never be natives.

I am Kosova Albanian born in the capital Prishtina, but hailing from Podujeva, and wanted to share a couple topics from that time that I always found fascinating. I heard these from my grandparents and other folks of their age.
    1. Map at 1:30 correctly shows Podujeva under German occupation. My grandfather was the very 1st Albanian teacher in that region since before the war and the Germans offered to make him an officer of the SS, but he refused. He was more a man of the pen than the rifle.
    2. German soldiers were very respectful towards the Albanians, and based on all accounts I heard, they never laid eyes on our women or harassed the men in any way. They only changed their attitude if they found that you were harboring partisan communists, which would not really be a thing among Albanians at that time. On the contrary, Albanians considered the German presence to be a safety net against Serbs.
    3. When Germans eventually left, there was a power vacuum, and eventually Bulgarians made it to the area, who were the opposite of the Germans. They pillaged and raped and all the usual stuff you hear from the Balkans. There is an account of a young Bulgarian officer who saw a very beautiful Albanian woman in one of the villages, whom he took by force to Bulgaria and made her his wife. She never loved him, and with time he felt remorse. Fast forward to the 90s, whenever he ran into Albanian merchants in Bulgaria, he would take them to his home just so his wife would have someone to speak to in her own native language. It is through these merchants' contacts with the woman that we know most details about her.

Albanian invasion of Kosovo started late in the 19 century. Before that population of Albanians in Kosovo was near non existent. Only in some mountains. Massive invasions begun with Austro Hungarian occupation of Serbia, with WW1, with WW2. All this time Europe has enabled Albanians to ethnically cleans Kosovo of Serbs because Serbian state was under occupation for several hundred years, and suffered 2 genocides in 2 world wars. Tito never fought with Albanians but gave them funds and enabled migration to Kosovo while forbidding Serbs to defend. Yugoslavia was a occupying force over Serbia. Keep that in mind Serbia was under occupation in Yugoslavia, as is under soft but de-facto occupation under US today.

Godine and look at the map in the end, no 98% Serbs, also 1690 "exodus" is a lie, Konrad Clewing quotes from numerous reports from the 17th century, such as those of papal visitators, and these documents show that already at the beginning of the 17th century, i.e. before 1690, cities such as Prizren, Gjakova, but also cities in todays North-Macedonia, Skopje had an Albanian-speaking majority. He also mentions a report by the Ottoman traveller Evliya Çelebi, who in 1660 came across an Albanian majority in the town of Vushtrria near Mitrovica etc. You tried to expel us, not we you, you tried to assimilate Christian Albanians, you tried to colonize Kosovo Prostorni raspored Srba i Crnogoraca kolonizovanih na Kosovo i Metohiju u periodu između 1918. i 1941. godine -Aleksandar Pavlović

Why you as someone who is historian pulling this narrative of Kosovo lost during 1389? Ottoman troops retreated from Kosovo the same day when the battle ended, part of Serbia later that year entered into vassal status (but with territorial sovereignty) while the other part under Vuk Branković (Kosovo region) were not into Vassal status and in fact they neglected Ottoman rule until very late. Ottoman troops were NOT placed in Serbia at that point so Kosovo did not fall in 1389. On the top of this after the battle of Ankara in 1402, Despot Stefan Lazarević broke the vassal status between the Ottomans and Serbia was once again totally independent until Stefan death in 1427 (Kosovo included). Stefan gets his title Despot in the Constantinople right after the battle and not only this Serbia at that point keep one of the most important mining town in the whole south Europe which was named Novo Brdo. Belgrade during that period was literally one of the most important trading hubs so that fantasy story of 1389 is alive only in folklore.

The Serbs were the majority but were forced to settle further north, seeking the refuge in Autro- Hubsburg monarchy. More then 400 serbian villages were totally emptied and albanians just overtook. How many Serbs were killed on Kosovo in Balkan wars , WWI, WWII?? Serbian patriarchy was in Prizren until the 19th century. There were still many Serbs on Kosovo after the 14th century, they were not ghosts. Two days ago an old serbian lady from Prishtina died. She was one of ten Serbs who live there. Before 1999. , 40000 Serbs lived in Prishtina. But nevermind my writting , I can see which side was chosen . They can be very servile as they see themseves as great cosmopolitans. Nazi Germany united most of albanian territories, including today's Albania, Kosovo, western Macedonia and south Montenegro in one state. That has always been the dream of albanian people which were separated unjustly by great powers in 1912. Kosovo has always been an albanian territory and only fascist Italy and nazi Germany did restore justice in the Balkans.
That's why for us albanians an axis victory would have been great, but unfortunatelly the war was won by the western-bolshevic alliance and albanian territories were separated again. Kosovo uprising was organised by the Kosovo albanians which did not want to be part of a slavic country but to be part of Albania were they belong!

Shiptari were once Bizantium mercenaries , just like the Ottomans. In 11th century George the Maniac broke off from Byzantines and came with his ship to Kruj to ask the Serbian king Jovan for protection . Unfortunately, he granted the access, which proved to be one of the biggest mistake in the history of humanity. 35% of the albanian population are not Albanians. They were forcefully albanised Serbs , Greeks and Macedonians. Their language is a mixture of serbian, greek , latin, turkish and azerbaijani. The two- headed eagle was stolen from the Byzantium and Serbia who had the white two-headed eagle. Skenderbeg is a Serb and it can be proved unlike fiction people nowadays. These people were very preemptive - when the Turks came they became muslims, when the Italian fascist came they became catholics and with Enver Hodza they were atheist. There are no orthodox Albanians , there are orthodox albanized Serbs, Greeks and Macedonians. Their preemptivness is the main reason for their spreading around with the huge support from both East and West. And they were facists , nazis and commies but not partisans.

George the Maniac says that the first time that Turks came to Balkans was to help him fight the Albanians, but, when, Turks win the Battle, George does not want them to destroy the Albanians because they were ethnic people, under God.
We have documents from the 9th century telling us your migration to Balkans from Iran, you were hunter gathers, and Alans and Huns domesticated you, this is where your name Serv, servare comes from, Roman emissaries sent to Attila observed this, in Attilas court.
You did not exist in Balkans before the 8th century, this is why your DNA and Language is not as close to the Greek and Italian, but, Albanian Language and DNA is closer.
You said that in Kosovo you Build Churches, lol
this is another evidence that you are emigrants to that region, because, Christianity came into that Region in the 1st and 2nd century, and not in 13th century----this is a clear evidence that you changed things, the same way that Europeans changed things in America.
there is nothing servian in Kosovo before the 13th century, and then, you changed everything, this is what Invaders do, because you had no connection to the region, everything was alien to you, because you are a refugee.

You are engaged in the usual demagoguery of nationalists. Most countries in the world are home to different peoples and ethnic groups. Trying to divide these countries into ethnic bantustans is a crime. And the example of Yugoslavia clearly shows what happens when criminal nationalists succeed in doing this.
What is modern Kosovo or Ukraine under the rule of nationalists like?
It will not be Kosovo or Ukraine that will be destroyed, but the criminal regimes of nationalists in these regions.

LIE! Serbia was under occupation in Yugoslavia. Coverted Ustasa troops, communists, and Croatian nationalists under guise of communism ruled Yugoslavia. Core of Serbian elite has been assasinated in 1945 after communist occupation of Serbia. 100.000 educated Serbs was executed by Titos communists which included Ustasa Nazies.

Serbs had it worse than all, lead by a croat, Serbia carved by the others, ortodox church prosecuted, most of pre war serb inteligence killed if not by germans and croat maniacs then killed by Titos communist fanatics.
All where beter off in Yugoslavia than those that bear most of the victims in WW2, serbian people.
No one was opressed by Titos regime more than Serbia.
Results after the Yugoslav wars show this, same policies from the same center, Yugoslavia was a creation of the GB and the US...

@@HistoryHustleThe guy wants to say that Albanians first came to Kosovo in 17th century after the Great migration of Serbs happened , when Turks and albanians from north of albania teritory came and slaughter the Serbs from Kosovo . They had to move north . And this was not their first or last uprising. In the 20 th century they were " uprising " every ten years, constantly killing Serbian civilians . After 1945. there were tens of " uprisings" with the same amount of violence. Tito was atheist just like Enver Hodza, but the muslims and catholics were free to practice their relligions. Only orthodoxy was forbidden and if anyone was being seen just standing in front of the church he was tortured, killed or sent to Goli otok. Do you see any point now?

Albanians (who are the original and 1st Europeans) of the Albanian Republic of Kosova always despised Serbians & saw them as intruders in their Albanian lands since the Serbs arrived in the Albanian Balkans and saw them as non-Europeans since Serbs genetically are Slavicized Iranians who originate from an Iranian tribe called Serboi. Regarding the Germans Albanians who are of Aryan stock saw Germans as their brothers and were open to collaborate with them. Here is the link which explains the Serbian Slavicized Iranian ethnicity & how they disguised themselves as Slavic to intrude into Europe the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serboi

    • @Salvaeusall
      @Salvaeusall 2 місяці тому

Sorry to crash your party but first Europeans are the people from Africa and Asia. There were no nations , nationalism or racism. There was just pure and simple tribal system. Germans believed they were Arians , the tribe that was once in the north- west of India. Germans also believed that they were descendants of the Atlantis 😂. Germans believed in many things because Goebbels, their minister of propaganda said so. In fact their Dna shows that they are a great deal Slavs . They are bigger Slavs then Serbs . Serbs are partly I2adin and smaller part R2a and R2b . On Balkan or better call it Helm , because Balkan is in turkish, live Ilirians , Tracians and Dacians. Slavs came later from Ukraine and Poland and assimilated. Tribes intermixed as in all parts of Europe. You also have some slavic dna in your blood , I2, E, but it just comes from the fact that 35% are not even true albanians. Greeks have their heroes , Macedonians have Alexander the Great , Serbs have tzar Dushan , Nemanjic dynasty , many kings before Nemanjic and many after, Nikola Tesla, Mihailo Pupin, Milutin Milankovic , Mileva Maric , Josif Panchic, Ljudevit Gaj ...even Đorđe Kastriot . You have a big zero, because people of no roots are ruthless and easy to manitulate with.
