The Gold Tone pickups are really made by DeArmond. DeArmond supplied these exact pickups for the much more expensive Guilds. These are great guitars!

Nice video... Funny thing about these DeArmonds. I see them re selling for more than what the new Guilds are selling for. I paid 500USD for mine way back in '03.

its got usa made goldtone humbuckers in it.hence the creamy tone,later squier badged starfires were same guitar,but with duncan designed pickups instead of the usa goldtones,and tailpiece removed

So the pickups are DeArmond originals, USA made yes the guitar is made in Korea but to US specs and quality control. Also the sound of same guitar in Guild version is quite different due to pickups. I really like this guitar and won't be selling mine currently seen these listed around $1100.00 got mine like you for around $500

Manufactured 2000. These Guitars are built between 1998 and 2001 only. Great tones and quality.
