That's great Vince, thanks. I had connected it up correctly but I needed your video to show me that I needed to then go to the TV remote to put it to HDMI 1. So simple now you've explained it.

Thank you, Vince, I just purchase one that is pretty much identical to yours from Amazon. It looks like I am the 1st one to buy so it is nice to know my money was not wasted!!. I hope this comment can be read because something is wrong with either my keyboard or UA-cam's printing (all garbled). Anyway thanks again!

If you are using this to power your PS4 please use the usb cable to power the hdmi Switcher because if you don’t your screen will flicker from what your playing to Black every ten seconds. Thanks for the info Vince, this proved very handy.

And your BenQ monitor was plugged into what? Your Switch or the PC?
I'm having the same problem. PC has two displays connected to it. BenQ monitor using DVI and HDMI to TV (using Switcher like in the video). PS4 goes to the Switcher too using HDMI but TV only reads the PC and not the PS4. It used to work fine before but we moved, changed our setup and got a newer TV so I'm wondering what's wrong.

I actually use one of this on my single port 1080p monitor to plug my androidtv box, ps3, ps4, pc, and xbox360, all worked fine.
though I modded mine to cut out the 5v rail on each hdmi port to avoid backfeeding on other HDMI source as a lot of them are just shared on single 5volt rail on the hub.

  • @NathanBudd

I bought a 3 switch version of this, as my second port on the TV is faulty.
It works ok on the switch, but the remote/IR doesn't work, but that's not an issue.
My main gripe is that the device switches input on power up. This would be fine, but it means when I'm watching on my FireStick, and my Freesat Box powers on intermittently to poll for remote recordings (which it does every 15 mins, as there appears to be no WoL functionality!), it switches to this!
I can't see any way to stop it switching on power-up, so it's basically useless.

My TV is kinda wall mounted and there's two HDMI ports but the other one is at the side and the other one needs a flat HDMI so I'm kinda using the one at the side and I just wanted to plug my Nintendo switch and PS3 Together because the Switch has no Netflix yet and I barely use my switch so I use my ps3 just for media or GTA V. @jasonhowe1697 6 років тому

@@rukhify see if panasonic offers a solution for adding a different daughter board in to increase hdmi inputs
though 1 thing to remember anything released within the last year or 2 will be hdmi 2.0 compliant in support as you can not connect a 2.0 device to a 1.x device as hdmi 2.0 in my experience is not backwards compatible 1.x devices
So anything that is 2-2+ years will likely not function with modern devices

Hi, yes you can. Connect the consoles/Set top box etc. to the HDMI switch and then the output of the HDMI Switch to the Input on the HDMI Splitter and it will distribute via HDMI leads the console or whatever is selected on the HDMI switch to every room. The problem is then using the remotes/controllers in all the different rooms as often the signals do not reach.

Hi mate I’m looking for one of those hdmi port testers that you have to test continuity between the port and the pins! Checked eBay and struggling! Cheers

    hi mate, great video
I got question for you though
i have almost same exact item
but, connecting it to my monitor, without built in speaker and my external speaker connects to my PC via USB
I'm using the HDMI Switch for my PC, Switch and PS 4
but audio is an issue here, when i switch to from PC to console, how do I keep the audio output on my external speaker? cause obviously it's connected to my PC and will only produce sound from my PC not from my other consoles, please helppp
    thanks!

Is there such a thing as a hdmi input and output splitter? (at least 3 inputs and 3 outputs)
