I play Wilson Revolve (the orange round one 1.25) for a long time now. 21 kg on my Pro Staff v13 (315g) and it plays like a dream ! Underrated string in my opinion.
I tried lynx tour at 52/20lbs and I thought it is great but I want more control, then I tried hyper-g at 54/52lbs, I feel that I do not need to apply much power by myself to the racket and the ball is already very depth and fast, but I like the feeling that I can use my own power the generate great angle of shots.
My two favorite strings right now are hyper g and lynx tour Hyper g only lasts me 3-4 hitting sessions/days Lynx tour lasts me about 2 weeks surprisingly Both strings I use at 1.25mm Edit 02/03/23: Use only Hyper g at a lower tension now. The strings last me longer at lower tension.
For me, it gave me 2 hours of wonderful spin, control, feel, and predictability. After that, it became very unpredictable, especially on flat shot. It became very launchy. So, I am wondering if you prestretched the string.
If you like Hyper G, may I suggest you to try the tecnifibre Blackcode. It’s very similar but in my opinion more comfortable in the arm, however doesn’t last as long. I personally didn’t like the lynx touch as it felt too lively in my racket. I have never tried the Wilson revolve so I’ll be adding that one to my list.
Yeah. I heard about Blackcode. Thanks for that. The lynx touch can be lively..depending in which racquet you put it on. This is one of the reason why i had to string a lil bit higher..and the fact that it is a soft poly.
