    100% agree with you all these factors. 2023 finally make it doable for flat hit. It's now finally more ballanced in every aspect. Of course players should mainly play top spin in baseline but now it is very easy to do some flat hit and volley. Some Previous versions were too spin orientated. And even make pure flat hit very strange in the swing. Now seems it just solved all these problems. You don't have to do every shot spinning. You can do some flat hit and it's now very good at it. I am a fan of APD and PA, almost have each version of PD(these before APD) then all APD and all PA. Before this version I will try to hit each shot in spin because it is not realiable to do any flat hit in baseline. Now I can do flaters if I already in a persition to do flat and don't have to reposition myself for a spin.

    I tried out the racquet and really liked it. I noticed you have a great OHBH. I also have one but not as good as yours. Thoughts for OHBHs?

    • @alextennis24
      @alextennis24 3 місяці тому

      Thank You. Much appreciated it. For the OH, make sure that your shoulder are already turn before the ball crosses the net from your side. Have the contact point ahead of you, to make sure you don't get pushed by the ball. Try not to play with your wrist too much, unless you really have a great timing, try to keep it semi lock at impact..if that make sense. When the ball is slow and short, right leg in front and lean into it. When the ball is coming fast, left leg goes behind, so that your shoulders are already turned. Hope it helps.

    I'm a flat hitter and I'm trying to decide between the Head Gravity Pro and the Dunlop CX 200 Tour. I currently use the Yonex VCore 95 2023, but I've realized that my playing style is more traditional and flat. I've been playing tennis for about 4 to 5 months, starting out with the VCore 95. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!"

    • @alextennis24
      @alextennis24 6 місяців тому

      You're welcome. As it is a mid-stiff kinda racquet, depending on your game, you could go with a stiff string like a hyper G at around 50lbs or if you wanna use a softer string because the racquet as I said is already kinda mid stiff, and if you don't wanna put your arm in harm's way use a softer one like black widow at around 52lbs. Obviously, it depends on your game style, but hope this helps.

    I didn't understand much about your review... im not sure how the boom hit for example groundstroke or you didn't mention the serve, if is better kick or flat etc.. the 31 balance suggest should hit a very good kick, because is very manoeuvrable and the beam is only 22.. not sure about your total weight neither let assume that the racket is really 310g you are showing lynk touch 1.30mm so I'll assume 18g more or less , is already 328 , did you put an overgrip seems so (6 to 8g at least) plus extra weight let say 2/3 g dampener and 2/4g lead tape, how can be your racket only 335g .. is it faulty ? I had 3 month ago pro model weight 309g and i put only signum pro string 1.30 no overgrip and the rachet was alredy 331g, 2 possible solution the racket is faulty and weight only 305g or you are playing with 345g and not 335.. obviously 10 g difference make a big difference especially on a frame that is 31 balance.. how you would rate groundstroke 0-100 slice 0-100 serve 0-100 volley 0-100 and so on...

    Hi im currently using yonex RD8 a very old model for years already with a 16x19 string pattern and 320 grams (strung). And i want to update it to percept. I am torn between 97d and 97h. I want 97h since it has the same string pattern to my rd8 but im worried that it might be too heavy for me. And as for the 97d the weight is ideal but its string pattern is 18x20. Will that make a big difference from my current rd8 racket if i switch. Your suggestions would greatly help.

    • @alextennis24
      @alextennis24 8 місяців тому

      Hi Carlo. I remember that frame. 95sq inch head size. I know that the 97D, seems close to your RD8 specs-wise, but like you said the 18x20 is different. I don't know what your game is but don't expect too much spin out of it. For the 97H, it is really a hefty racquet to swing to me, unless you are an advanced player, I wouldn't venture myself too much in that frame IMO. I do have a review coming for the percept 100...so. The percept 97 is close to your RD8,, just a tad lighter, you could always add led tape if you wanna stay in your smaller head size. Hope this helps.

    I have the previous red/ black and all black limited edition cx 200 tour 2021 18x20 95's . I have seen all the variants of this version in the store. And compared them in store to there flake previous editions . The previous editions were more attractive and labeling more stylistic . The issue with dunlops and some others are that , there is too much labeling , questionable quality control and poor paint quality. They do not seem to care what the consumers think and Japan's srixon corp , does not cater to the west as equally as the east . A serious language translation barrier and separation from the west , with a western brand . The soul being ripped out needs to be returned and not just a new engine in a Japanese styled car and bland interior. You are unable to put your own name on it . A white grip will not make this racquet look better just hide the shin red and orange with black in the stringbed . This enhances the overall black . The only grip color that balances the overall color is the matching with the color of the leather grip . The true ugliness of the frame is seen on full display in its accompanying bags. Lastly , the stringbed pockets more than the previous gen . Look at dunlop tennis japan on you tube for the cx series 25 - 45 minuit presentation of everything .

    You can definitely feel the stiffness if you play alot each week. It's really a racquet for higher level players who have good technique and who can swing a heavy 315g racquet. It's still a much better racquet than the Speed Pro though.

    Nice review, thanks! How would you compare it to the radical mp? I tested the radical mp and loved it (espec. control and manoeuvrability), except for the feel, a bit to stiff.

    • @alextennis24
      @alextennis24 Рік тому

      Thank you! The radical mp is definitely stiffer..but eventhough they are relatively the same weight..the swingweight is significally higher on the radical..so for me the prestige is more maneuvable. But again it depend if you like the prestige ''feel''. Hope it helps!

    Hello nice video, do you prefer this or the precius model 2021? Thanks

    • @alextennis24
      @alextennis24 Рік тому

      If i had to pick one..i would probably go for the new one..because of the 300g. The high swingweight of the 2021 is challenging.

    Also got a single hander considering getting this racket.. little more forgiving than a blade when lazy.. just cant decide if i try mp with the 18x19 pattern or this lighter version

      I do agree that it is a tough call between, this prestige and the blade for the one-hander. I will be reviewing the blade 18x20 soon. Maybe that could give you another perspective.

    how would u describe the pure aero for an aggressive baseliner who sometimes go to net and like to finish point in short ball or approach shot and hits aces

    • @alextennis24
      @alextennis24 Рік тому

      You can definitely play an aggressive baseline game with it...but if you are more of a flat hitter, you might have control issues, cause these babolat are made more for spin players IMO! As it is a stiff racquet, at the net, you would enjoy it and on serve because of the tighter string pattern, you should have better directional control. Hope this helps!

    Great review, I bought the 2021 version and the stiffness on that one is 65 also the swing weight (listed can never really tell for sure without sw machine) is slightly higher at 314 but whatever it is it is perfect for me. I was able to use a full bed of poly for the first time ever with this racquet as it is so comfortable albeit Head Lynx which is on the softer side anyway. It feels like an extension of my arm extremely precise and good power and spin, slightly lacking in power on the serve but not much. I like it so much i bought 2 but i got them for 80 pounds!!!🤩best buy ever. Not sure about the lower swing weight on this new one or the very l low stiffness...so ill just stick with what I've got.

    • @alextennis24
      @alextennis24 Рік тому

      Glad the 2021 version is working for you. As for the new one, head wanted to see if they could produce a 300g racquet, that would still have the feel of a prestige, so will see in the future how this holds up. From the playtest, I would say the swing weight seemed a little bit higher than 314, but again, strings play a factor in this so. More reviews to come!

    I like your reviews simple with substanceI play with a blade but i wish a bit more power. Which one did you like more 300g with lead or 315g for playing points or matches

    • @alextennis24
      @alextennis24 Рік тому

      Thx much appreciated. For me, i would have to say the 300g, just because, after a while, my arm would get tired of swinging it. With the right string, the 300 can be a surprising racquet. And as i like to spin the ball, the 315g was challenging for me at times.. Hope this helps

  • @bojack3827
    @bojack3827 Рік тому

    Why the hype bro? This racquet is a flimsy unstable mess with no power. It's like a toy racquet.

    How do you compare this racket with wilson shift 300G ?

    • @alextennis24
      @alextennis24 Рік тому

      Well first, the prestige is more even balance and the shift is more headlight. They both have the same weight but it's spread differently. I would say that the shift might be a little bit more maneuverable, but you get more control on the prestige I'd say. The shift is stiffer, but you don't feel it that much, and the prestige is more flexible. Depends on what kind of feeling you like. Hope this helps!
