How beautiful everything is!!!! It looks so peaceful and contented. Please do not remove the circular grass garden. It both highlights and calms all the lovely, lovely plants as it embraces the whole design! Would so relish having you as a neighbor.
Thank you for the lovely comments, very much appreciated. The white garden is on a shelf of sandstone on the very top of the quarry, no real depth of soil. I’ve been mulling over removing the grass for a while now as the garden floods every winter but our climate has changed so much so in recent years our summers & autumns are increasingly wet too. It’s predominately weeds and moss, very little grass remains. My heart says keep it, my head tells me to remove it, I’m still on the fence. Thanks again for watching and Merry Christmas 🎄
Oh my goodness. How happy I am. UA-cam recommend your channel to me this morning and what a fab recommendation! Your garden is very similar to my own (mine isn't as complete though!) A huge Hi, from the NE Scotland x
Hello and Welcome it’s great to hear from someone so close to home, most of my subscribers & comments are from overseas. Don’t worry the white garden is just about tweaking now but the rest of the garden is very much work in progress, no where near done so we have something in common. Thanks very much for watching 😊
I adore your garden. It is stunning! You are smart to trial plants before planting too many. I learned that lesson the hard way last season when I purchased over 15 heuchera 'Fire Alarm' plants. Only one survived my Winter. That was a foolish waste of money...and a great lesson learned. Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden and wisdom with us.
I also learned the hard way investing in plants that don’t survive in my climate. I love echinacea but they don’t survive in my cool damp shaded garden but I still pick them up on every garden centre visit, some even make it in to the trolley before I see sense. Thanks again for watching, it’s very much appreciated 😊
love love love your beautiful white garden!! so peaceful and zen ❤️ Subscribed to your channel and look forward to updates.. A warm hello from Canada 🌿🌿🌿
Hello and welcome. Thank you for the lovely comments. I’ll hopefully have another white garden update very soon as it is very popular. Many thanks for subscribing 😊
So refreshing as I live in the desert in the western US. A white garden here must utilize plants that often have lots of gray wind up looking dry. Your garden is so lush! Love the woodpeckers.
Wow gardening in the heat must be very challenging for you. I do complain about the amount of rainfall we have but in the last few years there has been a noticeable change in our weather patterns & we are experiencing hotter summers although still interspersed with heavy rain. Thanks for watching 😊
Hello I'm a new subscriber and I'm happy I found your channel today. It love gardening and anything that has to do with the home. I enjoyed your white garden immensely. I started a white garden in my small suburban garden just this spring. You gave me some wonderful ideas. Thank you for the inspiration 🥰
Hello and Welcome and I’m so happy you found me too. Thank you so much for the lovely comments and I wish you well and good luck with your new white garden 😊
That’s how I started. Following a visit to Sissinghurst castle gardens I was bowled over by the white garden there. Obviously mine is a fraction of the size & I garden in a lot of shade so I’m limited to what I can grow but it’s fun trying. Good luck with yours, it’s addictive 😊
Thank you so much for watching and the lovely comments. Yes I’m a big fan of the rodgersia foliage, I’m lucky that I get so much spring rain here in the quarry garden it supersizes them 😊
Garden is looking amazing. I've told some of my other channels that I watch about your white garden as the vloggers were talking about the way that white plants pop. The birds were so cute. I've recently had some crows turn up for the mealworms that I put out and they are really vocal plus a bit thuggish as they bully the other birds. One came first then he brought two of his mates a few days later.
Totally agree about the crows, they constantly hang on the bird feeders but are not intelligent enough to work out how to retrieve the peanuts, thankfully. Thanks for watching 😊
Wow love the garden , I live in North Lincolnshire and in the process of creating my white and green garden, i have white lavender, grasses, white, delpiniums, Daisy's, ladies mantles, arum lilies, agapnthas, lupins, hosts, work in progress...... your garden is absolutely stunning I love it wow ❤
Hello and welcome from Northumberland. Your planting all the white flowering plants I love, although the white lavender which I only added last year is no more due to the very wet autumn and winter we’ve had in the north. I’m working on a new video adding new perennials to the white garden in the coming days, if it ever stops raining. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it’s very much appreciated 🙏😊
Sorry to disappoint but the lawn now is just moss, daisy’s, buttercups and more weeds that I could mention. A year ago when this video was published I must admit it didn’t look too bad but I’m now building up to remove it. I’ve no idea what seed I used unfortunately as it was sown about 20 years ago, long before I kept a note of things. Thanks for watching though 🙏😊
I honestly think that people are graveling and hardscaping too much of their yards. It adds heat and takes away land that could be hosting good soil, plants, insects, etc.
Really lovely garden. I enjoyed your video very much. Thank you

Wow!..I'm doing a white garden based on a garden I saw last summer, it's coming along beautifully 😍.
