You have the most impeccable most beautiful gardens in the world. I so look forward weekly to seeing them and your pup too.🌱🐾💚🌻 Thank you for sharing 💚💚💚
Such a delightful treat to be in the garden with you Claus! Love all the silvery green foliage combo of plants you have. Since we can’t have gardens like yours to enjoy in person….we will enjoy it here on UA-cam. 💚💚💚
I absolutely love how you have combined the Weeping pear tree with Allium, it kind of looks like their flower heads are floating in the air under the tree. Magnificent! 😍
I absolutely love a white garden. The entire front of my property is white garden beds only while my backyard is open to any color. There is just something very special about white in the garden to me and it makes me feel calm and peaceful. ❤
Indeed, visiting the White Garden is a transformative experience. You return home and attempt to create one for yourself. It is then that you realize what a complex task that is. You need to plan for a series of blooms in succession. You require different foliage textures. You want different heights in your garden. It is quite a challenge to get all those requirements right. You seem to have mastered all those categories as your white garden is superb. What a treat you have given us.
Thank you so much for another wonderful garden tour for today you do such a beautiful job with everything you do everything was beautiful always love coming and watching your videos always learn so much and you do such a great job hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie. Your gardens are beautiful
Thank you for sharing this white garden, it's so beautiful. I also really like the idea of a white container garden and would love to see ideas of how to create such a look, maybe in a small area of my yard.
Thank you so much for your kind comment about my garden. My tip to a successful planting scheme - which also applies to a small space - is to limit the numer of different plants you use and repeat them instead. So if I was to pkant up ten or twelve containers, I would only use three or four different types of plants.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I will of course take your comment about the sound into consideration, but as you say - the problem may be at your end.
Did you learn to speak English in school? I’m so glad you do speak English so I can enjoy your videos though everything is so beautiful, one could just enjoy the views!
It's always a treat to "walk" virtually with you through your beautiful gardens. This White garden could rival Sissinghurst except for white roses and Foxgloves.... :). But your white peonies - when in bloom- are so gorgeous! Thank you very much !!!
Quite amazing how many white and silver plants there are. Thanks for the 2 garden tours and also seeing your pup. In our area the white Cornus are so beautiful this year. Trees are covered in blooms.
Amazing garden you have, and I enjoyed the extra bit looking at Sissinghurst. I was there about a month ago. It was not looking as good as when you visited, as they hadn't watered the garden so prematurely had died back, although there is always something to gain at different seasons. Thanks for sharing.
We lived Kent and Sissinghurst was one of my late mothers favorite gardens, I remember visiting as a child 60yrs ago. The gardens now are far different from my memories, so full of plants. Very interesting to see it now.😍😎🇫🇷
Thank you for your beautiful videos. Your garden is exquisite and I am inspired with every post! Hearing your Hallo, hallo always makes a wonderful day!
Oh, Mr Dalby, I think your white garden is more beautiful than the one at Sissinghurst, because you have more foliage in lime greens and silvers, and in different textures. Your plants always look immaculate and lush, and I love your artistry! Thank you for making your videos; I find them inspirational! (Just so you know, mine is a rambling country garden, in rural New Zealand.)
Thank you so, so much for your very kind comment - this is high praise indeed! I am pleased that you like my videos and I will try to post here more often in the future. Once again that you for your kind words - they are much appreciated.
Beautiful as always! Claus could we have a video on what you do with your numerous pots of tulips once they have finished blooming and what to do with bulbs until next year. Thanks!
Thank you for showing us your white garden and Sissinghurst Castle garden. So beautiful! Also thanks for putting the names of plants on your videos..that really helps. Your sweet dog completes your garden!! 🐾 Happy Gardening from Knoxville, TN.
Oh, you have a tulip AND a rose named after you! How wonderful. And maybe other flowers I have not heard you mention. Wonderful wonderful video, Claus. Thank you so much for all the work it takes to make these films that we get to enjoy effortlessly. xxxooo (Nomi)
It's a delightful idea, to have a white garden or border - even a few pots. The weeping pear is very pretty and perhaps better than the olive here. I wonder if it has pear fruit?
Hi from NZ. Thank you so much for your white garden tour. Love your gardens and really appreciate all the names of the plants written down for us :) You have a lot of yellow-green foliage in your garden as well: perhaps you might be able to talk us through all those plants as well some time when you have a chance. Thanks again.
Dear Claus, you taught me to appreciate the beauty of sparkling white flowers and chartreuse foliage. Now I put these in every flower garden and bouquet I create! Thanks! ❤ Linda in Vancouver
Claus, your white garden is spectacular, and stands up excellently when compared to Sissinghurst’s. Thank you so much for posting these inspirational, informative and charming videos in English. Greetings from the south of England!
I have to conclude that by restricting the flowers to white, showcases the many foliage shapes & the breadth of plant ,tree & shrub growth habit. A triumph of garden design & planning here. DELIGHTFUL viewing here with the Alliums being my favourite, similiar to the ubiquitous Agapanthus in Sydney, Australia.
I enjoyed this video very much as usual. In the white room in the Rosegarden I created in my village I also grow white dahlias. And I just realized that I saw you growing dahlias only in pots. Are there in the mixed-borders too ? If not, is there a reason for you to grow them only in pots.
Claus, if you can, please give some suggestions. Love the full garden look. However, I live in a very very humid area of the US and we receive between 45 to 65 inches of rain per year. So for various fungus reasons plants usually require more breathing space. Do you have any recommendations on plants that would do particularly well in this type of environment?? Thank you. And just love your gardens!
Thank you so much for asking, but I am afraid that my time does not allow me answering questions like yours with the consideration and depth they deserve.
Just beautiful. I visited Sissinghurst two decades ago and it's a pleasure to see it again. At the 5:45 mark there is a large flat white mass of blooms in the bottom left corner of the screen. It almost seems to be growing on top of the hedge. Is it a clematis? There is a purple allium hiding behind the white stone container on a pedestal. I spotted it over your shoulder at 11:56. It is on the left from the camera's view. :)
I am so pleased that you enjoyed 'revisiting' Sissinghurst with me. I am afraid that my time does not allow me to go through each video to answer questions like yours.
Hi Kim. I believe you are right that it is a clematis. At first I thought it might be a hydrangea, but the blooms are too packed together and Claus mentioned the hydrangeas were not out yet.
Ah! I tried to find a Pyrus salicifolia 'Pendula' two years ago and could not. I ended up with a dappled willow standard, which I do like very much. But I still think about the willowleaf pear tree and sometimes try to figure out how I could work in. (Nomi)
Enjoyed. I am wanting to plant an all white garden and this was wonderful to see. I wish your books would be translated into English....I started planting a cutting garden last summer and have added peonies which I love. How did you change over your grass areas to flowers? How did you start? I am wanting to do something similar. Forgot to mention: alliums are a new favorite.
I don't know if you are aware that I have my first book out in English? It is called Containers in the Garden and it is now back in stock and can be ordered through Amazon, Book Depository and Waterstones among others.
Without wishing to sound negligent, I think that the problem must be at your end as I am sure I would have had heard it much more, was it a general problem.
You have the most impeccable most beautiful gardens in the world. I so look forward weekly to seeing them and your pup too.🌱🐾💚🌻 Thank you for sharing 💚💚💚

I absolutely love how you have combined the Weeping pear tree with Allium, it kind of looks like their flower heads are floating in the air under the tree. Magnificent! 😍
How observant of you - thank you so much.
Be still my heart! So calming and elegant.
I absolutely love a white garden. The entire front of my property is white garden beds only while my backyard is open to any color. There is just something very special about white in the garden to me and it makes me feel calm and peaceful. ❤
Thank you so much, Claus, I learn so much from your generous content. As always, your gardens are exquisite.
Thank you! It pleases me no end when I hear that you learn something from what I tell you here.

Gorgeous gardens! I bet the white garden looks so beautiful at night in the moonlight, too.
Yes, a white garden really works its magic in the evening.
Incredible! Absolutely gorgeous!

Бывает ситуация еще хуже, когда не понимаешь английскую речь🙃
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I will of course take your comment about the sound into consideration, but as you say - the problem may be at your end.
I have the same problem even though I've turned the volume up to max.
Thank you for letting me know.
Yes, I have the same problem.

Thank you for your video, Mr. Claus...
It’s always good to see your dog Nero!❤️
My pleasure - thank you for watching.
I love that this tree is quite small I could put it in a small garden and it’s such a beautiful foliage you were right loved it
So dreamy your white garden. Can’t wait to see it again later this season
Thank you so much.
Just beautiful!

Claus could we have a video on what you do with your numerous pots of tulips once they have finished blooming and what to do with bulbs until next year. Thanks!
Some of the tulip bulbs are planted out into the garden and some end up on the compost, as tulips really only do well for one season in containers.
Thank you for showing us your white garden and Sissinghurst Castle garden. So beautiful! Also thanks for putting the names of plants on your videos..that really helps. Your sweet dog completes your garden!! 🐾 Happy Gardening from Knoxville, TN.

Will you please put up the name of the gorgeous silver small tree in your garden and Sissinghurst white garden. Thank you
I love the rose at sissinghurst time stamp 7:53 !

I only grow dahlias in containers. One reason being that this makes it so much easier to dig them up and store them for the winter.

Loved this video. Can you let us know what zones each variety is. I really like the Pendula tree. What zone is that.
I am so pleased you like my video! I am afraid that it is not possible for me to include zones. Google can be a big help here.

I am very fond of mine, and if you ever find them for sale, I can only recommend that you plant one or two.

@@ClausDalbyEnglish I do have that book and it is lovely.
What is the large plant at 8min 30 seconds?
As I say: Cynara cardunculus
Thank you! We always look forward to the videos of your beautiful gardens.
Какие сорта белых роз вы использовали?
I have a question about brunnera: do you remove the flower stalks after they have finished blooming, and how low do you cut them?
I cut most of my perennials to get either a second blooming or just some lovely fresh leaves. You can simply cut 5-10 cm above ground.
@@ClausDalbyEnglish Thank you!
Please turn up the volume on your end. I enjoy your videos and beautiful gardens, but have a difficult time hearing you. Thank you.
Without wishing to sound too clever, I think that the problem must be at your end.
Hello! Tell me, please, what is the name of the plant next to the onions at 8:23 minutes?
I love your videos and your garden is fabulous however it is very hard to hear you. I wish you would of moved your mic up higher.
Without wishing to sound negligent, I think that the problem must be at your end as I am sure I would have had heard it much more, was it a general problem.
Do you ever prune the Salix helvetica?
Yes, I do. I prune practically all the shrubs and trees in my garden.
@@ClausDalbyEnglish thank you!
Please, subtitles in Spanish, thanks
Thank you for your suggestion and kind interest, but I am afraid that that is beyond what is possible for me.
