    So wonderful! I love white flowers and I’m working on the white garden myself here. In the US those hydrangeas are called “Incrediball” and I love them so much! Thanks for sharing your beautiful and peaceful garden!

      I hadn’t realised how popular white gardens are particularly in the US until I posted on UA-cam. Good Luck with your own white garden and thank you for watching and the lovely comments 😊

      Hello and thank you for your lovely comments. I’ve always gardened throughout my life but UA-cam is something very new to me which I only started to use last year during the Covid lockdowns. I’m sorry you have lost your shrubs, it’s very disappointing to lose plants because of weather conditions. We obviously garden in very different climates, I would love to garden in more sun we have lots of rain here in the far north of England but I wouldn’t be able to cope in extreme heat just like your shrubs. Thanks again for watching 😊

    Consider Arum Lily, very tolerant of wet or damp soil conditions and once established they will flower profusley with the most beautiful flowers that are pure white.

      I think sometimes a little bit of luck has a lot to do with how well a plant performs in your garden. I planted the larger of the two viburnum without much knowledge of the plant years ago and it performs every year without any intervention from me. I was just lucky that I planted it in the right spot in the garden 😊

    Proven winners have bred strong Annabelle it's an improved version of Annabelle and supposed to have stronger stems and not flop like the original Annabelle can. Love your videos and garden.

    • @thequarrygardener5578
      @thequarrygardener5578  2 роки тому +1

      Hello and welcome. I’m hoping it’s an Annabelle, it was in the end of season rack at the garden centre last year when I purchased it with a hand written label so it may be an incrediball, either way it should fit in with the colour scheme. Thanks for clarifying that though. I only wish we could buy more proven winners in the UK, the plants look amazing when I see them on other UA-cam gardening videos. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel 😊

    Absolutely love your garden. Before this video I watched your other video of your moving a viburnum. Im so pleased you can prune them To size, as I'd love one next to my fence to grow high In years to come (neighbour privacy). I don't have a huge amount of room but have wanted this plant for so long. I have mainly containers in my garden, as my ground is under a load of gravel from previous owners, but I'm sure I could get one of these in the ground I'd I buy a smaller size for now. Can I ask exactly the variety of this plant please.

    I am growing a white garden for the first time and I just discovered your channel. I love your white garden! Along with Sissinghurst and Claus Dalby's white garden, it is an inspiration for me. I would love to have frothy white umbellifers growing with the white foxgloves and alliums that I planted. You mentioned growing several umbellifers. What types do you grow, and do you have a favorite?

    • @thequarrygardener5578

      Hello and Welcome! I grow two perennial white umbellifers which are trouble free and stunning. Cenolophium Denudatum (Baltic Parsley) flowers late spring early summer and Selinum Wallichianum (Milk Parsley) flowers mid to late summer and continues for me well into the Autumn. Both botanical names quite a mouthful but are thankfully both referred to by their common names. I also grown two annual types, Ammi Majus and Orlaya Grandiflora. I’ve found in my garden the Orlaya variety does best especially if I seed it in the Autumn. Hope this helps. Thankyou for tuning in and watching my video 😊

      Hello, if it’s the plant either side of the steps it is a Rodgersia. It’s a gorgeous plant mainly grown for its huge leaves but it does flower in mid summer. There are several different types all equally as good as each other, the bronze leaved variety (I think it’s called Bronze Peacock) is particularly stunning. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 😊

      That’s no problem, I enjoy very much this part of having a UA-cam channel, corresponding with other gardeners worldwide. I’m assuming you are referring to shrubs rather than perennials? I have a small sunny spot in my white garden and I grow a Limelight hydrangea which does tolerate full sun as long as I keep the soil moist. I also grow Buddleja Davidii White Profusion (butterfly bush). Two plants I intend to try in the near future are a white lilac which is spring flowering but I’m going to grow a white clematis through it and use the lilac as a framework for a summer flowering clematis or possibly a rose. Lastly I’m going to try and grow a Hibiscus White Chiffon. Hope this helps.

      @@thequarrygardener5578 that helps a lot thank you. I used to have a large white lilac tree.. I hadn't a clue what it was as I knew nothing about gardening. We had to take it down as I couldn't get the trailer to my workshop at the time due to the tree being in the way. I regret it so much.. I've just planted 2 purple lilac bushes, so I may get a white one now you've mentioned it. They will look nice together. Limelight hydrangea sounds fabulous. It would get afternoon sun.. I hope that's OK. Noon until approx 8pm . Thanks for your help
