Dhoom just belongs to John Abraham. I believe he's the only actor who can compete with Hrithik Roshan in terms of coolness, swag and looks on screen. John just became an overnight star after the release of Dhoom and we can't forget how we felt while watching that film. It was like "OMG yess!!!! This is what we wanted for so long!! This is the star we always wanted". I've a huge respect for Aditya Chopra just because he gave this movie to us

Also i just wanna say even though Bollywood is filled with nepokids...Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj films have never indulged in it so hard like other producers...i mean they are the one big studio who are launching no name actors into superstardom like Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Anushka Sharma and they kept working with outsider actors like John, Ayushman, Sushant who gave their best movies under their productions...also i love the fact that under YRF when an outsider actor gets signed, they have a 3 picture deal where the actors can do 3 lead roles an assured chances to make impression on the audiences like nepo kids...its little things like that bring changes to the whole nepotism thing in Bollywood..no other production house does this

I think many would agree that Adi Chopra side stepped the Nepo Kid debate by putting up Uday as an example. Finally episode 3!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 Also you guys should watch “Hum Tum” movie it’s really good and also the cartoon titular characters in the movie will also make you laugh, since they are the symbolic representations of our main leads aka Karan and Rhea (Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji)
Also I am actually baffled on Uday Chopra’s voice, like the way he spoke fluently in English…😳😱 it’s like he got this American accent born naturally (even though he was born in Mumbai)
Also throughout the series, they missed out few actresses who are part of the YRF such as: Anushka Sharma, Vaani Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra (who made their debut through YRF), and most probably Katrina Kaif too. Like I guess they couldn’t get time to be interviewed for the series, due to their shooting schedules and so on…🤷🏻‍♀️ It would’ve been fun to see and hear their thoughts about how they were recruited and made debut in YRF and what was their experience like 😔

Nepotism then is much different from what it is now. None of the star kids can actually act but are giving movies back to back, leaving rarely any options for the audience. Moreover its only a fact that the treatment with outsiders is rather unfair in the industry, there is no debate about it.

While people constantly praise Hrithik's look, Ranbir's acting, Tiger's action, we barely acknowledge Ranbir's range of acting. We think of him as a troll because his silly behavior.

  • @artislife456
    @artislife456 Рік тому +2

i have the exact opposite opinion about uday chopra in mohabbatein and other films..i thought his character was the most shallow in mohabbatein and even his love story didn’t have much depth..on the other hand, jimmy’s character was the mysterious brooding one and his love story was also beautiful..Also,his roles in films like mujhse dosti karoge, dhoom etc are more like funny side kick kind of roles which could never establish him into a hero..I think, aditya chopra had realised very early on that uday couldn’t be that big of a star and so they did the best they could and gave him roles that could fit his personality better..Unlike just forcing him in a lead role in every film which just speaks more about to adi chopra’s instincts and judgement..However,they could have gone the arjun kapoor route and put uday in multiple films even though he didn’t fit the roles,so he might become a hero but lose the respect of audience..I m glad they didnt do that..

The fuss around nepotism is not mainly about the head start that the people from the industry get, its about the no. of opportunity they get even if they are an average talent to say so.
We all love talents like Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor because they are genuinely good actors. But the truth of the matter is, you have to be an excellent talent first to break into the industry & then to survive in it like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon.
Also in recent years the quantity of these actors who have film background, debuting is high & most of them are so to say an average affair like Ananya Panday, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor.

No issues with the child doing the same work, joining the same field as his father/parents. No issues with star kids getting easy opportunities. Ultimately it's audience who have to like them & they need to survive the market. The issues starts when others chances are sabotaged, new comers opportunities are slyly taken away, bad press is created around them as a agenda, putting them down, expecting them to be at your mercy - the issue starts when all these things start happening coordinatd way. Some groups in bollywood has mastered in doing this. That's what people call out.

we have these stencils in front of us.
    #1
Rishi kapoor and his son Ranbir kapoor. ranbir's dad was astonishingly famous. ranbir has his first movie flopped sawariyaan. but he kept pushing and true he was able to push it few more roles because he was son of rishi kapoor but in today's date we all know after all the good movies like sanju, barfi, YJHD, tamasha, we know he had that talent. but he was also very strategic about his movie roles.
    #2
Hritik roshan and rakesh Roshan. father was producer and film maker, which did give hritik chance to push himself on big screen, but we all know the level of dancer and acting range hritik has. in fact the first 5 films of hritik's career were produced by his own father. so much so that there use to be a common joke at IFFA and many other award shows about rakesh roshan only producing movie for his son.
#3 Jackie sheroff and tiger sheroff, as much as tiger aka jai hemant tries to be the top actor he isn't landing any good roles other than roles that involves fights. he hasn't been able to be versatile actor as others could. he has the most generic acting through out
#4 Alia Bhat, daughter of mukesh Bhat. she landed few good roles after student of the year which sucked at everywhere. that movie was a meme in india tbh.
    #5
    regarding Abhishek Bacchan is
his father was a massive Screen Actor. one would say GOD of cinema after dev anand sir died.
abhishek is really a good actor in my opinion it's just the story or movies that he had been doing at those time didn't match his acting skills. abhishek tried to act in compass with his father's acting as "angry young man"
BUT above all it was audience. audience love the story of underdog, example Ranveer singh. people loved the struggler getting a break rather than son of rich actor getting main roles.

Ranveer is a relative of Anil Kapoor…. Plus his dad is a huge businessman…. He paid Yashraj huge huge money to get ranveer cast. The whole narrative of ranveer is just false. Infact aditya chopra was pissed at sushant rajput coz of his attitude, so he convinced sanjay leela bhansali to get sushant replaced by ranveer is ram leela… it was ranveers biggest hit at that point and heralded his hit association with bhansali.
