Dhoom just belongs to John Abraham. I believe he's the only actor who can compete with Hrithik Roshan in terms of coolness, swag and looks on screen. John just became an overnight star after the release of Dhoom and we can't forget how we felt while watching that film. It was like "OMG yess!!!! This is what we wanted for so long!! This is the star we always wanted". I've a huge respect for Aditya Chopra just because he gave this movie to us
True aditya what a feeling was to watch John in Dhoom..kids went crazy after him, including me 😍
The impact of Dhoom 1 was never repeated by any other Dhoom
Dhoom 1 belongs to Abhishek, John and Uday equally!!
@@Mizraab2912 no
Also i just wanna say even though Bollywood is filled with nepokids...Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj films have never indulged in it so hard like other producers...i mean they are the one big studio who are launching no name actors into superstardom like Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Anushka Sharma and they kept working with outsider actors like John, Ayushman, Sushant who gave their best movies under their productions...also i love the fact that under YRF when an outsider actor gets signed, they have a 3 picture deal where the actors can do 3 lead roles an assured chances to make impression on the audiences like nepo kids...its little things like that bring changes to the whole nepotism thing in Bollywood..no other production house does this
Dharma also has a 3 movie deal with new comers..
‘Hum Tum’ is a guilty pleasure I like going back to. Certain aspects have aged horribly but do give it a watch if you can. I loved Kirron Kher as Bobby Aunty.
But i still like it, movie ends with a good mature love story
It was an unofficial remake of Harry met Sally.
GUYS “HUM TUM” IS INCREDIBLE!! You have to do a watch along. It’s one of my all time favs and both Rani and Saif deliver exceptional performances. A must watch!
Jaby has put it perfectly...the amount of opportunities these star kinds get is insane...look at someone like Sara Ali Khan or an ananya pandey or Arjun Kapoor...none of their films work but look at their pipeline... they are loaded with offers
@@SumitSMN you've got issues with comprehension?
brilliantly said!
True
just dont watch and one day they will be out
I find Sara Ali khan to be good and Arjun Kapoor sometimes can be watchable and he was good in his starting days but ananya Pandey is just someone who just cannot act even a bit she is unbearable in all of her three films that she had done
Uday Chopra's acting in 'Dhoom' was absolutely captivating, particularly in his portrayal of the character Ali. It's clear that the role resonated with him, and I believe it was his best performance to date. The character of Ali will always hold a special place in my memories.❤️🔥
While John Abraham made Dhoom a phenomenon, Ali was actually my fav character.. Dude was dreaming of marrying his girl and making babies all the time (so funny 😂 ). Can't tell how many guys during my college days would pretend to be racing on the road or dream of owning a 'karisma' bike, with that straight long hair and sun glasses.
@@ramengirll John Abraham's Suzuki Hayabusa bike 🏍in the movie was equipped with speed booster technology that made it truly remarkable. 😀Watching him push the bike to its limits and transform it into a rocket was awe-inspiring and made it my dream bike.😜
He was annoying
Hum Tum, Dhoom, Bunty aur Babli, Band Baaja Baarat are all definitely GREAT watches!
100%
Finally "The Romantics "
exactly
Bro his parents were doing well
lol
watch his interviews he made many connections due to his mom name, Can't image an outsider living with producers and in Salman Khan house without connections
@@bgmlover23 jealous salman fan
@@ksb_067 Wtf? His parents weren't industry people. Their little bit connections were limited to Delhi. He was an outsider in Mumbai. I don't see this new obsession with calling SRK nepotistic.
Uday Chopra may not have turned out to be as famous as he wanted to be but he will always be part of many movies we all love from our childhood. Mohabbatein, Meri Yaar ki Shaadi hain, Dhoom series will always be in my all time favourite list. Well done, Uday!
Achara: What's He doing now???
Jaby: CHILLING 😂😂😂
12:43 Parineeti and Bhumi were behind the camera in ‘Band Baaja Baarat’. What a crossover that is!
Yeah...Jaby HUM TUM is definitely a WORTH WATCH💖💖💖
JABY!
He's so spot on about the nepotism thingy. People work all their lives to get one break and still most don't get it. Yet nepotism products get chance after chance. Dozens of golden opportunities.
nope they doesnt get many chances. big example is uday chopra. if you are outsider then you need to climb a ladder but its depend on your hardwork and luck. nepo kids will get chance muvh easier but still its upto the audience.
Have you seen Neel n Nikki, mere yaar ki shadi hai , pyarr impossible. He has acted the same in every movie.
Yes for Hum Tum ,you will definitely Enjoy like Jab we met.
Hum Tum is definitely my recommendation for you guys to react because this film breathes heavy to us(audiences) it’s so relevant, it’s so modern and so relatable at certain moments and this film made me fall in love with Amsterdam and Paris for the first time. Now I can proudly say that living in The Netherlands is the best decision I’ve made because of ‘Hum Tum’
Hum Tum is such a classic
Saif's mother was on the board for the National Awards....he ended up winning best actor for Hum Tum over SRK for Swades!! Still the biggest snub of all time. Hum Tum is a fun rom com and Saif was good but nothing compared to SRK in Swades. His mother influenced the win.
How I wish Veer Zara was given it's due diligence in this series- a masterpiece ❤
So much said yet so less celebrated.
I remember Dhoom making John Abraham a star, all the boys were crazy about him and riding motorcycles. And girls loved him as well
Ranveer Singh is Anil Kapoor's nephew. His grandmother Chand Burke was an actress who acted opposite Raj Kapoor. He is a cousin of Sonam Kapoor. He even attended birthday parties of the Kapoor family growing up. There are photos on the internet as well. And his PR team has deliberately presented him as an outsider.
People talk about nepotism in certain industries but conveniently forget that it’s not just movies but how society itself is structured based on caste identity, caste networks and ethnicity.
Talking about caste is blasphemous. Didn't you know?
@@rohitmehra7287 aa gaya modern lodu
It does not make it right - Imagine, Sara, Jhanvi, Ananya are pushed in our faces film after films though they have nothing going for them at all......that is Nepotism....
@@mecca1395 jhanvi has a lot of potential i must say. About Sara as good as her offscreen persona is i can't say much good things about her acting. But again just having film offers is different from winning hearts and being a star. Unless they come up with amazing projects and improved acting they are not likely to be a star
@@chewy9936 there are plenty of other actresses could have done so much more with the same films. Let’s be honest about nepotism that is is a big big problem.
The only big flaw of this docu-series, not talking about Veer Zaara! and not having Preity Zinta and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan!
I think many would agree that Adi Chopra side stepped the Nepo Kid debate by putting up Uday as an example. There are a LOT of stories of outsiders being rejected, not treated well, not to forget KJo (Salmaan too!) and internet's contribution to making modern actors so much less "mysterious" than older superstars.
You won't believe it but Saif's "Wow!" is as iconic as Owen Wilson's.
edit - The grandma in "Gulmohar" is Saif's mother. Obviously you loved her performance in that without knowing this fact.
Yeah wondering the same that why no Aish and Preity
@@Pk_1911 There is a Quint interview with Smriti Mundhra (director) that talks about it.
The whole Kabir trend started off with John in Dhoom (1st part), his long hair and leather jacket look was badass personified at that time for us growing up, even today, no villain can match the swag and class of Kabir from Dhoom, it's just straight up cool.
Dude was hella handsome that time
Even Dhoni himself started keeping long hair because of Dhoom
@@simonandrews5256 true Dhoni became John fan after Dhoom they are friends now..he has same passion for Bikes as John and that long hair looks of Dhoni in 2004-05
Yassss! Dhoom only belong to him✨
To me it seemed that while many of us were still too interested in about knowing Yash ji. Many of his successes were kind of ignored for Adi’s rise story such as dil to Pagal hai veer jara jab Tak hai jaan etc…. I mean that was all pure cinematic brilliance…. I think that part really needed better inclusion than Adi’s great instincts as he really still has a life to be told in future.
1:08 Kajol is a 4th Generation Actor. All of them are good actors.
Nutan being the best of them all
@7:39 Dhoom 1 was the best and its Craze was never repeated by any other Dhoom parts,

Aditya Chopra realness and not mincing words about anyone >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
These Behind the Scene stories are so important. These make me appreciate movies even more.
Netflix did a good job in this episode...this episode was about Nepotism and the one star you won't find in this episode is ShahRukh Khan❤
and sushant
@@PriGoistic I think sushant was alive when they made this. See Rishi kapoor is in the series and he died after Sushant.

From a shopkeeper to a cricketer to a big movie star. Nepotism is everywhere. and it can never be stopped. anyone will give their family and friends a chance above a stragnger even if she/he is talanted. It is upto the audience who they wanna make a superstar.
The power play dynamics involved in film industry and politics determins the huge impact nepotism has. A businessman's hier has far less impact compared to bollywood and Politics: both fields which shld be more focused on art and talent.

@@Brett_lee_1 having seen bollywood do u think that works?
How movies did Uday Chopra get despite being being unlikable.
How many flops do Sonam kapoor, Ananya Pandey, Sara Ali khan have? And they hv a career, earn crores from doing advertisement. Ranbir Kapoor's first 2 films were box office flops, anyone without kapoor surname wldnt hv gotten a 2nd chance. And I agree parents and friends will help u as they r supposed to but bollywood acticely promotes gate keeping, impeding and intimidating anyone from outer circle. A lister Bollywood is the same 35 people all with film background. Not just actors, writers, producers, directors every field is heavily influenced by family connection. The end product is mediocre, below standard scripts and cinema. Compare that to Hollywood which easily has 150+ A lister actors.
8:37 dhoom is the movie that literally created hype of bikes in me and my childhood ❤
Kajol hails from the "MUKHERJEE" family, Everyone is in the hindi film industry from it's inception, Ayan Mukherjee and Rani Mukherjee is her cousins, and ironically Rani Mukherjee is married to ADITYA CHOPRA of Yash Raj film from the previous episode.
Waitin for the backstory for rab ne bana di jodi.
HUM TUM IS A big 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I'm still salty about the fact they didn't talk much about classics like veer zaara or dil toh pagal hain nd stuff! 🤧
Right
Finally it's out, upload part 4 as well asap
Uday Chopra now produces Hollywood Movies,
The best thing about this video is how many movies reference and actors @jaby and @achara get.. Imagine any non Indian seeing this reaction and when Ranveer says Bhumi Pednekar's name.. they would never get it.. UNLESS you are well and truly assimilated into the Indian movie culture.. but you can see the surprise and the real reactions on @jaby and @achara's faces when they get the magnitude of the coincidence. That for me is the best part about watching this series AND best part about this video. 🤟
Actually, Ranveer Singh is from Sindhi family and his grandfather is Sonam Kapoor's maternal grandmother's brother. According to this, Ranveer and Sonam's relationship has become brother-sister.
And that means what, exactly? How many of your second or third cousins are you trying to get a job in your industry?
I don't think it is so easy for distant relatives to get jobs in the industry. Sonam and Ranveer are not even close!
The way YRF n karan johar production ruled hindi film industry at one point is nothibg but sort of magic...nowadays u can call it cliche,Over the top but thats 90s kid childhood...m eagerly waiting for mohabbatein watch along...hope we get next episodes soon
Would definitely love to watch hum tum watch along!
7:52 It’s actually interesting how Monsieur Jaby hasn’t whooshed through the ‘Dhoom’ Franchise.
Syntell did and loved it!
You guys have to Watch Doom and Hum Tum. Doom was so unique film for Indian cinema at that time and Hum Tum is just fun, comedy, drama and a lot of emotion merged together. You guys will love it.
Nepotism exists everywhere and people who whine about it are the biggest hypocrites. Because they'll do the same for their own family. I mean what kind of a parent are you if you don't want to give your children a better and More comfortable life than you had? People should stop whining about it.
Exactly my point 👌🏼
A reaction to Hum Tum would be great. One of my all time favorites 💕
Ranveer's dad is in film distribution and had very good contacts with top names of bollywood
Hum tum please......you are gonna like it. Can't remember how many times I have watched this one
Thank you for posting the Romantics ! Have been waiting a long time for this
Aditya Chopra signs 3 films contract with newcomers, no matter what Ranveer would've got his next 2.
And yes watch Hum Tum
Dhoom - before that, we never had big budget bike sequences in a movie and i still remember how fascinating was this movie for a middle-class Indian audience...
then he came up with Dhoom 2 and my God that was the best among all 3.... still remember the craze in theater
Ranveer Singh is an interesting case! Few people know his grandmother was an actress in the black & white era who had retired & cut off from film industry! However, Ranveer joined the film industry and made it on his own!
Not at all he is a direct relative of the Anil Kapoor family...These things help in industry...
Hum Tum.. a big Yes !!!
Finally episode 3!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 Also you guys should watch “Hum Tum” movie it’s really good and also the cartoon titular characters in the movie will also make you laugh, since they are the symbolic representations of our main leads aka Karan and Rhea (Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji)
Also I am actually baffled on Uday Chopra’s voice, like the way he spoke fluently in English…😳😱 it’s like he got this American accent born naturally (even though he was born in Mumbai)
Also throughout the series, they missed out few actresses who are part of the YRF such as: Anushka Sharma, Vaani Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra (who made their debut through YRF), and most probably Katrina Kaif too. Like I guess they couldn’t get time to be interviewed for the series, due to their shooting schedules and so on…🤷🏻♀️ It would’ve been fun to see and hear their thoughts about how they were recruited and made debut in YRF and what was their experience like 😔
Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif are interviewed here! But yes the screen time for them here is very less.
@@chandanakashyap1357 I saw Anushka Sharma’s part, didn’t know Katrina gave an interview regarding her movies in YRF though 🤷🏻♀️
I love how the thumbnails of this series is first Salman then SRK & this one Aamir. True biggest superstars of India even though am a bit jealous because am a Hrithikian but i love this idea of thumbnail
Yes...I have recommended Hum Tum so many times.....please watch it its a really amazing movie
This show was actually made to celebrate 50 years of YRF, along with Pathaan to complete the YRF spy-verse after Ek Tha Tiger and War
Ranveer really is not an outsider..He is the son of a billionaire as well
Being a billionaire's son doesn't make him an insider. SRK was an outsider and through his work became an insider.
@@kvm6 his grandmother was an actress during black n white era. He has been on sets since he was a kid because his dad could get him there. There are pictures of him with amitabh bacchan on sets as a kid. He is also distant cousin of the Sonam kapoor.

Bunty Aur Babli is a great and relatable film, a comedy classic!
Now people can stop crying in the comments of others videos saying they stopped reacting and that the 3rd part would never be released lol 😂
HumTum would be great for watch along
Hum Tum is such a nice watch.. love it!!
Nepotism then is much different from what it is now. None of the star kids can actually act but are giving movies back to back, leaving rarely any options for the audience. Moreover its only a fact that the treatment with outsiders is rather unfair in the industry, there is no debate about it.
Ep 4 should be uploaded today only 🙂
Exactly we waited so long for this
Dhoom is a watch if u want a suggestion it was a phenomenon in 2000's
Hum Tum is a great movie and it is an Indian spin on When Harry Met Sally...and it does stand apart from that movie on its own and that's saying something..you should definitely watch it
Most of the time Ranvir Singh's attitude overshadows his talent.
While people constantly praise Hrithik's look, Ranbir's acting, Tiger's action, we barely acknowledge Ranbir's range of acting. We think of him as a troll because his silly behavior.
Actors like Ranvir and Rajkumar Rao deserves more from bollywood.
Yes. Please watch "Hum Tum" 🙏🏼
Actually as far as I remember i enjoyed Uday Chopra in Mohabbatein and Dhoom. But he didn't do such films later it's not just the audience mistake. We loved Uday character in Dhoom.
Also Ranveer Singh isn't an outsider he is related to Bollywood.
Now toh YRF is only famous for action and Copyright strikes
Hey jaby, watch Actress Rani Mukherjee films ... Like Saathiya, Hum tum , Mardani , No one killed Jessica, etc.... You definitely enjoy it..Her performance in these films is best as always
Funny that uday chopra is blaming nepotism for his downfall while the fact is despite not being able to deliver even 1 line properly it was nepotism b/c of which he was able to do many movies.
i have the exact opposite opinion about uday chopra in mohabbatein and other films..i thought his character was the most shallow in mohabbatein and even his love story didn’t have much depth..on the other hand, jimmy’s character was the mysterious brooding one and his love story was also beautiful..Also,his roles in films like mujhse dosti karoge, dhoom etc are more like funny side kick kind of roles which could never establish him into a hero..I think, aditya chopra had realised very early on that uday couldn’t be that big of a star and so they did the best they could and gave him roles that could fit his personality better..Unlike just forcing him in a lead role in every film which just speaks more about to adi chopra’s instincts and judgement..However,they could have gone the arjun kapoor route and put uday in multiple films even though he didn’t fit the roles,so he might become a hero but lose the respect of audience..I m glad they didnt do that..
Saif Ali Khan's mom's most recent film was Gulmohur playing Manoj Bajpai's mom!
Dhoom and Dhoom 2 ----- Jaby and Andrew ---- reaction.... please
Ranveer Singh is a nepo kid as well, by the way. He tries his hardest to deny it but it's out there.
Yes Jaby, I've requested for Hum Tum reaction many many times.
How could they not talk about veer zaara 😩
The fuss around nepotism is not mainly about the head start that the people from the industry get, its about the no. of opportunity they get even if they are an average talent to say so.
We all love talents like Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor because they are genuinely good actors. But the truth of the matter is, you have to be an excellent talent first to break into the industry & then to survive in it like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon.
Also in recent years the quantity of these actors who have film background, debuting is high & most of them are so to say an average affair like Ananya Panday, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor.
Dhoom 1 and 2 are really good. Bunty and Bubli is inspired by Bonnie and Clyde and is a fun movie
No issues with the child doing the same work, joining the same field as his father/parents. No issues with star kids getting easy opportunities. Ultimately it's audience who have to like them & they need to survive the market. The issues starts when others chances are sabotaged, new comers opportunities are slyly taken away, bad press is created around them as a agenda, putting them down, expecting them to be at your mercy - the issue starts when all these things start happening coordinatd way. Some groups in bollywood has mastered in doing this. That's what people call out.
Karan Johar did it to Ayushmann Khurrana when he approached him for Student of the Year but ended up giving the role to Sidharth Malhotra
Great video, guys. Hum Tum is a must-watch; I hope you guys can do a reaction video for this movie someday! You guys are gonna love it. !!

" Have you seen Befikre?"
4:03 ummmm i dont think indians agree hes the best character[not the actor] anyone i know who watched mohabhatein likes the character " karan" jimmy shergill the best among the three boys
we have these stencils in front of us.
#1
Rishi kapoor and his son Ranbir kapoor. ranbir's dad was astonishingly famous. ranbir has his first movie flopped sawariyaan. but he kept pushing and true he was able to push it few more roles because he was son of rishi kapoor but in today's date we all know after all the good movies like sanju, barfi, YJHD, tamasha, we know he had that talent. but he was also very strategic about his movie roles.
#2
Hritik roshan and rakesh Roshan. father was producer and film maker, which did give hritik chance to push himself on big screen, but we all know the level of dancer and acting range hritik has. in fact the first 5 films of hritik's career were produced by his own father. so much so that there use to be a common joke at IFFA and many other award shows about rakesh roshan only producing movie for his son.
#3 Jackie sheroff and tiger sheroff, as much as tiger aka jai hemant tries to be the top actor he isn't landing any good roles other than roles that involves fights. he hasn't been able to be versatile actor as others could. he has the most generic acting through out
#4 Alia Bhat, daughter of mukesh Bhat. she landed few good roles after student of the year which sucked at everywhere. that movie was a meme in india tbh.
#5
regarding Abhishek Bacchan is
his father was a massive Screen Actor. one would say GOD of cinema after dev anand sir died.
abhishek is really a good actor in my opinion it's just the story or movies that he had been doing at those time didn't match his acting skills. abhishek tried to act in compass with his father's acting as "angry young man"
BUT above all it was audience. audience love the story of underdog, example Ranveer singh. people loved the struggler getting a break rather than son of rich actor getting main roles.
Also ranveer singh is Sonam Kapoor's cousin and comes from a lot of privilege otherwise too. In no way is he an underdog
honestly i liked mujhse dosti karoge. guilty pleasure although its abit cringe for some people its WAYYY better than what we see today. Also i think you should watch HUM TUM and bunty aur babli the original and yash chopras last movie JAB TAK HAI JAAN
@Cinedesi @JabyKoay See the issue with Nepotism isn’t about just the audience decides the fate of the film or the actors of only kids of famous actors but unfortunately good and brilliant and well deserved actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Irfan Khan , Anupam Kher, etc who actually studied acting from National School of Drama ( NSD) famous acting school in India have to still struggle to get their first movie and struggle after coming to Mumbai .
Yes that's why what we need is people trying to make the playing field more and more equal, and for that there should be a proper channel and policies to do that. Because world just works like that. It is the same reason you would hardly find any Non Baniya caste person in heart of a city doing any kind of business be it a small grocery store or a big hardware showroom may be
The false narrative of Ranveer Singh being a outsider story needs to stop.
Ranveer is a relative of Anil Kapoor…. Plus his dad is a huge businessman…. He paid Yashraj huge huge money to get ranveer cast. The whole narrative of ranveer is just false. Infact aditya chopra was pissed at sushant rajput coz of his attitude, so he convinced sanjay leela bhansali to get sushant replaced by ranveer is ram leela… it was ranveers biggest hit at that point and heralded his hit association with bhansali. Aditya chhopra has the most clout in the industry.
Hum Tum is one of the best film! Must watch!!

HUM TUM is inspired by WHEN HARRY MET SALLY
Arjun Kapoor has that punch worthy face .
That’s mean and funny at the same time 😬😅

Yeh i have many times....do HUM TUMMM and do BUNTY AND BABLI TOO
RANVEER SINGH US ALSO A NEPO KID... HE IS SONAM KAPOORS COUSIN...
Ranveer Singh is not an actual outsider though. He is Sonam Kapoor's cousin.
Yes I don't know why they let him say that when everyone else was honest about their families
