Vidya Balan is one the best actress of bollywood. there were extra songs because songs also play an important part in a bollywood movies in terms of economics. sometimes a movie is flop but its songs proved to be commercially hit and that helps to get some money back for the makers.
You should actually see the original Malayalam movie "Manichithratazhu" from which this movie was remade. The final dance sequence of actress Shobhana is a classic!!
Fun fact: The backstory is inspired by a tragedy that happened in the Alummoottil meda in Kerala during the 19th century. The writer of the original malayalam film, Manichithrathazhu, is a member of the Alummoottil Tharavad.
As far as I am aware, it was a fight over wealth which ended up in an assassination of sorts. I think a house maid or someone was also killed in the struggle which maybe was inspiration for Nagavalli (Malayalam female character name. Idk the Hindi one). Source: my father. His mother’s family is a branch from the Alummootil family.
I get the part about musicals tho , but here is the thing , even they have little hints , for example , in the wedding musical , you can notice that Avni is always trying to get close to Sharad ( the groom ) , sitting beside him , dancing with him etc . Also , it was kindof Priyadarshan's thing to have a lot of light heartedness to distract you ( like musicals and comedy ) to really catch you by surprise in the climax ( when everything makes sense and shit goes real DARK ) . It may have worked for you if not for the language barrier which unfortunately nullifies the comic brilliance of the dialogues Yet , I would say , it is one of the best REMAKES Bollywood has ever done , I mean imagine , how great Malayalam cinema must be to show such a deep connection between paranormal stuff and psychology in the 90s when even Hollywood was busy making Evil Dead

Okay, let me shed some light on the requirement of songs 1st song, the romantic one- no bollywood movie is complete without a love song, the makers will always put a portion of romance in every movie despite the genre. 2nd song, every travel scene also requires a song that the people will eventually use in the cars while driving or travelling. So, that's really important. 3rd song, the celebration one, no celebration is complete without singing and dancing. Hence, the need for the song. I mean how would people dance without song and what kind of celebration would it be with singing and dancing. Now, Weleska, imagine that engagement scene without song, wouldn't it look dull and boring. 4th song, Ami je tomar, you know about that. 5th song, the last one that bhool bhulaiya song, now numerous people have put so much efforts from cameraman to singers, makeup artists, designers, scriptwriters and all, the chance of giving acknowledgement to them in what we call numbering in my area, the list where all the names are mentioned, credits are given. Manichitrathazhu (1993), the original Malayalam movie was remade in 4 languages - in Kannada as Apthamitra, in Tamil as Chandramukhi, in Bengali as Rajmohol and in Hindi as Bhool Bhulaiyaa - all being commercially successful. Geethaanjali, a spin-off was made in 2013 (which was recently remade in hindi as the sequel titled Bhool Bhulaiya 2). Tamil, Kannada and Telugu also released sequels but with a different story

The first song "labon ko" , they showcase their love nd romance for each other nd ofcourse it's bcoz what's a horror movie without some romance , , the engagement song is bcoz in India we have dance evening during and just after the engagement ceremony ,, nd the journey/travel song on the bus is like showing their journey nd finding nd all of that , also to not bore the audience with the investigation sequence and also bcoz they didn't wanted to reveal anything about what nd for whom they r doing it , so they incorporated that one... The last post credit one is a chart number which is like bollywood staple.. nd the climax song which u already know the reason for...
i feel that back in the 2010's and prior, songs have been primarily used as a bridge between scene to scene. Showing romance/journey/relieving tension or heightening it as such. I think the songs in these movies. All of them except the title track serves this purpose. That being said, the songs are used as promo material too, so the commercial nature of them can't be denied - especially for the times. These songs were constantly on 9xm repeat back in the day
The Actress Vidya Balan is a fantastic actress. Some of her other movies which you should consider watching are -: 1.) Kahani 2.) No one killed Jessica (it also has Rani Mukherjee) 3.) Shakuntala Devi (Biography)
You should listen to the song Oru Murai Vanthu Parthaya (the last dance song) from the original Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu (1993) to see the difference. The original is more of a psychological thriller rather than a comedy-horror movie

To be fair I, myself, had this one criticism of Bhool Bhulaiya that the songs just come out of no where and takes a few seconds to digest. I feel like they could've been better integrated into the movie.
"TALA TALA HOTA HAI" 😭😭😭 always loved your reactions!!
59:07 "What is this- Chipmunk?" HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I CAN'T🤣
That taala taala hota hai was so cute by waleska 😂❤
You guys have just concluded in the best way possible. As someone who isn't from our culture and country, and still understands so much, makes me super happy❤️🫡
What're the name of sequels that cover the dancer's background story?
Original is more terrifying
@@iamrocker101 original has a lot more hidden details in the songs and film itself.. the others are in pure entertainment format
@@divym0sequel was not made in Malayalam. It was only made in bollywood.
@@myvlogs1927 no the guy said it covered dancer's story
Bhul bhulaiya 2 of bollywood is not a sequel, it's completely different that part 1
1:00:53 the BGM is actually by RANJIT BAROT who is also A R RAHMAN's drummer😂😂😂😂..... pritam only composes songs hardly does background score.... do some research guys 😂😂😂😂
Ok so basically
Action/violence stuff isn’t waleska type
And horror isn’t Efra’s type 😂
This movie is a cult....like freaking cult....the best movie of Indian cinema....I can watch this movie a hundred times and can never get bored....I hope you find such nice movies to review again .❤
Kahaani is a movie you would really like but I guess other people are not thinking about it
Yes, Kahani is amazing, they should definitely react to that, especially since they liked Vidya in this one!
I am thinking. They should watch humaari adhuri kahaani too.
Next, Airlift, Rustom, Baby (not hey baby) Garam Masala, Special 26, Toilet-ek prem Katha, Kesari. All these gems are waiting to be watched and reviewed by you.
Finallyyy😂😂😂.... Rabbb bnaiiiiyaaa rabb ne bnaiiiyaa🤣🤣 ...
Original is in Malayalam "Chandramukhi", main female role played by Shobhna. Later remade in Tamil with the same name with Rajnikanth, played by Akshay Kumar in Hindi. And later made into major indian languages
Waleska! Efra!!! First Om shanti om, then jodha akbar and now bhool bhulaiya. Taking me down the memory lane of sweet school days guys😢❤❤
You guys should really watch the original “Manichitrathazhu” Malayalam movie with Mohan Lal as Dr Sunny (Akshay Kumar casted)…highly recommended ❤
Akshay Kumar's:
1.Airlift
2. Baby
3.Kesari
4.Jolly LLB 2
Please....
and mission mangal
It even has Vidya valan in it@@joshikabharathi7029
Yes Akshay and Vidya both in that movie. The music in that movie is very good.
these are all really boring movies. except KesarI
Serious NOT boring
51:08 and here, is the scene that singlehandedly traumatised every kid watching this movie on the TV with their parents one day 😭😭😭🙏🏻
SCREAMMMINNNNGGGGG ..
YAY you guys finally watched it so happy
Watch more of akshay kumar and raj pal yadav movies this duo is legendary in hindhi cinema
Special 26, Baby, Rustom, Airlift, Toilet, Padman.... if you liked Akshay Kumar !!!!! They are all a must...
next should be ''DANGAL'' or '''RUSTOM '' guyss
2:37 that impression was SO ON POINT 😭😭😭
i feel that back in the 2010's and prior, songs have been primarily used as a bridge between scene to scene. Showing romance/journey/relieving tension or heightening it as such. I think the songs in these movies. All of them except the title track serves this purpose. That being said, the songs are used as promo material too, so the commercial nature of them can't be denied - especially for the times. These songs were constantly on 9xm repeat back in the day
Efra here ✌🏼. Next watch along for memberinos very very soon,
Guzzarish
WELCOME!!
Efra, I hope you two would explore Malayalam movies some day. Especially the original of bhul bhulaiya -Manichithrathaazh ❤
The Actress Vidya Balan is a fantastic actress. Some of her other movies which you should consider watching are -:
1.) Kahani
2.) No one killed Jessica (it also has Rani Mukherjee)
3.) Shakuntala Devi (Biography)
BRO MY STOMACH TURNED AT THE THUMBNAIL, so excited guys. lets gooooo
10:35 singer name KK ❤️🩹 UNFORTUNATELY he is no more 🥺
Avni's characted is played by the wonderful actress Vidya balan. Check out her movies!! She is top notch in acting!!
At 17:35 but thats the thing, 2006 is not 'old'. People(/we) think its old because its so much ie 'quite some number' in past years.
You should listen to the song Oru Murai Vanthu Parthaya (the last dance song) from the original Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu (1993) to see the difference. The original is more of a psychological thriller rather than a comedy-horror movie
Yess, you guys have now ventured into Akshay Kumar's brilliant movies. Can't wait to see more of it on the channel!
When this movie released i watched it only once or twice but now with reaction channels this is my 6- 7 time lol.Miss old akshay comedy
This is a remake guys you have see the original version (Manichitrathazhu) malayalam language. it's a masterpiece movie 🗿🔥🔥🔥
I want Efra's "Inna sona kyu rab ne banaya" in every fu***ing video.. That's it!!!!!!
Wow... first people on internet who actually watched a movie rather than pandering... i love your genuine thoughts❤
That Actress is VIDYA BALAN one of the BEST INDIAN FEMALE ACTOR❣️💯
watch her movies she is brilliant
-Dirty picture
-Kahani
-Kahaani2
Start from these three.
Yes.. she is the best..
But Shobana Mam is always G.O.A.T ❤

'Kahani' please....till date one of the best mystery/thriller movies I have seen cone from Bollywood. Plus vidya baalan's masterclass is also something to behold
Next movie Reaction should be "WELCOME" that movie is hilarious and one of BEST MOVIE OF AKSHAY
In Hindi, sona means gold. It also means "to sleep". Used depending on the context. In Punjabi (Enna Sona), however, sona means beautiful as you guys already know.
10:38 kk, shaan, mohit and sonu nigam used to rule music industry at that time!! Kk is a legend and well respected artist but unfortunately he passed away:(
You should watch Tumbaad. The score of the movie actually very integral to the plot. I don't remember if the movie has a song. It's based on a folklore and first hall an hour will be scary.
1.Jagga Jassos Musical, Adventurous, Underrated, Masterpiece Please react to it soon
2.Wake Up Sid Good music ,Evergreen, Underrated, Masterpiece
*Love your reactions watching since you reacting to nadan parindey Rockstar, then ranbir kapoor's brahmastra, rockstar, tamasha, adhm please react to these two movies soon😊

Watch Akshay Kumar's comedy film "HOUSEFULL" next ❤ It's a physical comedy as well so it's easier for you guys to understand & enjoy
😂😂😂😂
It's also a copy movie for South India 😂😂😂
akshay kumar is a comedic genius.....none of the bollywood actor can ever beat him at that....from bhool bhulaiya to welcome, hera pheri, bhagam bhaag....all are master peices..
"Sona" word has more than one meaning in Hindi, It means "sleep" and it also means "gold"
Fun and horror?
You gotta watch "stree" ❤
And this movie bhool bhulaiyaa.. Is so nostalgic for me!!
Love from India ❤
Watch Karthik calling Karthik, you won't be disappointed
Yes actually, I was so intrigued by that movie that i did not even watched it on tv. I thought I would watch it later with all my brain cells active.😅
Is it good?
It's a great movie, Go watch it... It's worth the time without any doubt @@AbhiiiYadavvvv
Akshay kumar jumped 2 stories to save his friends life, without hesitation
Can you guys please enjoy the reaction and stop saying " you should watch the original movie , it's a remake" blah blahhh ....I'm tired of this type of comments on every movie reaction 😭
Why not? What’s wrong with checking out the source material? It serves as a good ground for comparison also it’s nice to see how both have interpreted the same story
The intention should be to provide info about original movie
But many a times the intention is create a divide rather than mere info, that's the problem
Why not ...the original even got a re-release after 35 yrs in theatres just last week ..u talk as if u cud compare this to the national award winning performance of the actress in the original ...90s national award ,thats more unbiased than all the awards in the world be it globes or oscar ..no politics nothing involved back in selection of winner back then..the actress is also one of the premier traditional dancers india ever produced which only made her performace shine better
They are just insecure 😅
You're tired of hearing it because most of the bollywood classics ARE remakes but the originals still won't get national attention.
More Akshay Kumar!!!
he's a superstar but still underrated outside India which is absurd given what an amazing actor he is!!❤
Watvh Stree 2 and Stree, You will love it, Rajkummar nailed it
Please watch Akshay's Hera pheri & Phir Hera pheri... both parts are too good
Guzzarish this time ✌️ Best ever performance by Hrithik
Airlift!! Another masterpiece based on a true event. A must watch. One of Akshay's best movies.

He is great Actor ("Khiladi" *Player*) & even in 2000s he did comedy ❤
More of Akshay Kumar movies, it's about timeee
Had enough of the others

He is a copy movie star.. 70© of his movies are remade from other industries

Akshay is entertaining which majority audience loved. You didn't like it that's your choice.

You guys should definitely check out atleast the music or some scenes from the og movie. It's so much more realistic and unique than all the remakes❤ . Don't come at me if it triggers you when people mention the og because our regional movies deserve to be acknowledged too. It's as much of a part of our childhood and nostalgia as your fav movie✌️
