Aditya Chopra fulfilled his promise to make SRK an Action Star by allowing Siddarth Anand to make Pathaan with SRK (and YRF spy universe to become a thing) the comeback SRK needed after his "bad" movies and 4 year break.
Re: Befikre, It's an.. interesting film. Definitely not as strong as Mohabbatein or DDLJ.

Such an interesting documentary, I was literally hooked from the start...I feel like both Srk N Aditya Chopra has this weird power that they can think way ahead of present things and thus can take risky decisions depending on that outlook. So good to see you two reacting to this ☺️

Its hilarious that SRK wanted to be an action star and Aditya Chopra made him into a romantic hero but then all these years later SRK finally got to be a action star with Pathaan which Aditya Chopra produced, so i guess he kept his promise.

I really want a watch along for Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012). It was Yash Ji's last movie. It was with SRK. He was very fond of SRK. ❤❤
Its been 31 years SRK still ruling bollywood in the age of 57...He is our childhood our emotions... A big fan of SRK 😇
This show is excellent to learn about the who's who of the Industry as well. For example, Rani Mukherjee is Aditya Chopra's wife, FYI. Ranveer and Anushka were launched by Yash Raj, while Dharma (Karan Johar) introduced Alia and others; and Salman and friends, Akshay Kumar etc, are close with Sajid Nadiadwala.
I was very young to go to theatre when film was released. Years after when I grown up and I started working, there was two shows of DDLJ showing in Bangalore. I took my whole team to watch it and paid from my pocket. It was such a great feeling to watch on big screen.

I think his attitude of not allowing anyone to own anything YRF related is the reason why YRF takes down videos a LOT.
Yash Chopra was like a Godfather to Shah Rukh Khan like when SRK and YRF collaborates it's always special....... And Darr also inspired a Hollywood movie starring Mark Wahlberg which is known as "Fear" released in 1996

Uday Chopra's characters were always my favorite ones. Be it Mohabbatein, mujhse Dosti karoge, or the Dhoom series.
So damn true, Uday had that spark about him, Would always have the biggest smile just seeing him rock up on the big screen 😊

Befikre really isn't as bad as most people said. But it has a different feel than indian films. I think Aditya achieved his goal in making an actual romcom. But since they are already so good at making epic love stories, a regular romcom didn't hold a candle to other yash raj movies

Nice to hear some Befikre fans. I just watched it recently and avoided it for several years as it was considered “bad.” I really liked it and fell in love with the soundtrack as well! Very re-watchable.

romance has no age right? I am ok with SRK doing a romantic movie as long as he is not playing a guy in his 20s or 30s. I can accept him playing a guy in his 40s and falling in love with an age-appropriate heroine like Juhi or Aish or even Tabu (I so want to see him and Tabu in a romantic movie)

This was the era when South Movie Industry was B grade movie industry, Objectifying women and when PSYCHICS DID NOT EXISTED in south movies and
I think South movies script got better after 2010. And there logic and physics after 2020

Look up the bios of Yash Chopra & B. R. Chopra! It says Hiroo Johar (née Chopra) is their sister & Karan Johar is their nephew! Maybe he is hiding his family relations because he was the biggest target of nepotism debate!

• 1960s : Rajendra Kumar, Shammi Kapoor
• 1970s : Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan
• 1980s : Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Sridevi
• 1990s : Madhuri Dixit, Govinda, Sunny Deol
• 2000s : Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan
• 2010s : Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan
I would add Anil Kapoor in 80s as well and Shahrukh in 90s: Darr, Baazigar, ddlj, karan Arjun, dil to pagal hai, pardes, kuch kuch hota hai all 90s

Govinda, Sunny & Madhuri were the biggest superstar during the 90s. Regarding srk, his dominance in the industry truly started from Kuch kuch hota hai (1998) meanwhile ddlj made him a star but not the biggest movie star of Bollywood.
@@Ashwin822 Regarding Anil Kapoor, he was not even close to the stardom what Amitabh Bachchan, Sridevi or Mithun Chakraborty had in the 80s.
Infact Sridevi was the highest earning filmstar after Amitabh Bachchan & she used to be the selling point for the films esp in the 80s and Mithun Chakraborty was known as 'Poor Man Amitabh Bachchan '. And both Amitabh and Mithun were known as the two pillars of Hindi Cinema

while don’t agree with srk thing.. he became a big thing after ddlj. He had hits like baazigar, darr, Raju ban gaya gentleman before or around ddlj. After ddlj he rose to the top.

I never really got into the industry behind Bollywood movies while I grew up watching these movies also cause I didn’t really care about who made these films 😅and me being from south I was not exposed to the great names in the behind the scenes in these movies but after watching the romantics I realised most of the memorable movies that I enjoyed growing up were indeed made by Aditya Chopra

You should watch 1989 Maine pyar kiya, 1991 Sajjan, 1995 Karan Arjun, 1994 Hum apke hain kaun, 1999 hum sath sath hain and 1999 Hum dil de chuke sanam. And also Dharam veer, Amar akbar Anthony and chupke chupke all from 70s these all are Mega Hits and blockbusters all over

If Shahrukh didn't do ddlj, Salman wouldn't get the action films he did because SRK would've done them, and done them better. Aamir would've been the next big romantic hero then, which means he would've never felt the need to make his kind of cinema and that would've been the biggest loss. Imagine a world without taare zameen par
I LOVED Befike!! 😍I feel like the indian audience was not able to accept the different/western aspects of the film well. It definitely deserved better. The audience sadly didn't understand and love the film for what it was 😭🙌

That's a proper summary of the episode !
From this documentary, what I understood was that Aditya Chopra finishes making a film before the camera starts rolling! This is why he is irritated during the shooting when the actors & crew diverge from his vision!
Yash Chopra loved the visual representation of his stories!
