Hi, thank u for the very well presented video. My question is that how long and how often i should go on with the baking soda treatment for the fungus treatment. Thank u!
Hi there, You can stop using once you see that the plant has recovered. But I would still suggest you to use it once in a while to prevent fungus or bacterial growth.
Can we use it to protect the plant roots from fungus and bacterial infections, and if yes, please let me know how to do it and the intervals of application . Thank you Madam Im having a scotch bonnet plantation .
Yes, baking soda can help protect your Scotch bonnet plants from fungal infections, though it’s more effective as a foliar spray than a soil treatment. Here’s how to use it: Make a Spray Solution: Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda, a few drops of mild dish soap, and 1 litre of water. Stir well. Spray the solution on the soil surface around the roots and on the lower leaves. This helps reduce fungal spores in humid conditions. Apply every 1-2 weeks, especially during rainy periods, but avoid overuse, as it can alter soil pH. Monitor the plants and adjust based on need. This method can help prevent fungus but is not a substitute for other root-focused treatments if infections are persistent.
