A simple, versatile, and effective product that can turn any 2" barbell collar into a hybrid resistance band and or weight bar. I personally found this product so useful that I was brought on as a rep and shareholder in the company. So any purchase of their products does support me and the channel. Despite this, I still will be giving my honest pros, cons, and who I think would benefit from using this product. And of course if I notice issues or problems, I will keep you posted as always.

Just want to highlight a few things in seeing some of the comments. I still believe that other band bars have their own unique purposes and functions. Specifically for example the Nexus Bar by Clench (or X3/Harambe) I believe would be the better option for heavy deadlifts as the Collar Hooks (as mentioned in the video) could potentially overtime stress the hook over time. I had to purposely bend mine to do so, but still it's why I'd recommend having the bands angled more towards the elbow. In no way Clench told me to say this (although I am an affiliate with them) here's a link to that review if curious ua-cam.com/video/OKG15TGgSYc/v-deo.html I'd say the same goes for any resistance band barbell, they all have their own unique pros and cons. Ultimately at then end of the day, the consumers are winning as the market now has so many options for ways for people to find ways to make exercise work for their needs.
I get it. I’m looking for the less expensive alternative for now to see how I like it. When I see that it’s working for me, I’ll invest in the Harambe. I really like that set up.
Thank you I watch all your videos I'm very impressed keep it up I'm 61 of had a total gym since I'm 20 still have the original
Well these are just perfect for dumbbells, where you are going to be using the lighter loop bands. The serious steel 32" loop band would work best on dumbbells with these, as you will get tension even at the beginning of the range of motion for most exercises. What I like to do is pair a 32" band for early on resistance together with a 41". Great for scaling tension.
It is impressive that you are impartial here, but to be honest for me these really completely take away the clench style value proposition. This gives incredible versatility in a home gym setting and allows you to use different style bars so it is truly modular. Even if you lift heavy I think the easier solution might be to double up on these and get the best of both worlds. Would for sure like to see you test is that is viable if possible. Great stuff!
@@Mrwatson185 if you want to go really heavy using a system that is ultra strong you can do the gorilla strength barbell collars for heavy chains, and instead of chains you attach bands linked with a heavy triangular fishing karabiner from amazon. A total system withstanding thousands of pounds, with total cost of $80 a pair. The only downside is the width of the gorilla strength barbell chain collar, therefore best used with barbells. That's why for dumbbells the collars on this video should be optimal, as you will be using light bands with these on dumbbells.
They look like a very simple but effective solution to what can be a pain in the butt for a lot of people diy’n a bar for bands
this looks amazing!
are there any plans for 1" diameter collars?
Yes, that is definitely a good possibility in the near future.
What a fantastic solution! These will be my next accessory purchase. Although I now have two different long band bars and two different short band bars, I can now turn my EZ curl bar into an EZ band bar. I'm also happy/proud for you for getting into product development/marketing of innovative, practical, and simple solutions.
Thanks Syndney as always for the support my friend.
Thanks for your good work, Mike. Always hits home.

Looks cool!
Love the idea here
This is perfect for the home gym. It's especially nice if you're using freeweights and light bands. You can pass stickng points.
This looks pretty fantastic and puts me in an interesting position. I was going to pull the trigger on the Harambe System (upgrading my DIY system) next month but now this has me rethinking and buying some barbells instead…
Simple and effective solution. Lots of versatility.
Enjoyed your channel from the start and continue to do so with it's evolution.
Thanks Scott means a lot
I hope they work with 1 inch bars. I love your website loads of useful info
It's great to hear that you are a shareholder of the product! Hope there are coming some more products in the future :)
Thank you, it sounds fancier than an affiliate although probably the same financially. But yes, I got some really cool products and things to share from this company and others in the near future.
I love weights, I have a curl bar and straight bar, with plates and dumbells, but I also love bands. Bands force you to control in both directions in a different way than static weight. I've tried ways to combine them and hv mixed success, so usually I will do either bells or bands, but rarely together. I like these hooks very much! Simple genius! Your demonstrations showed me a few ideas I had thought about, but will try.
Perfect! I've been wanting to try resistance bands with barbells but the price of some of the systems like X3 have been putting me off. This is a great way to test waters.
Cool idea
Deceptively simple product that has loads of value. Great design.
Thank you.
To think the Nexus Pro Bar comes out, and initially I’m thinking that it would be the next best thing for combining weight and resistance. Then a few weeks later these collar hooks come out and blow my mind yet again. Now I don’t have to buy another barbell, and I can essentially upgrade my own barbell and dumbbell. Thanks for showcasing this product. Absolutely amazing!
consumer is definitely winning with all of the options out there now!
These are great. A simple yet effective way to add versatility to equipment you may already have.
Similar to other comments, I’d be interested in a version that is compatible with 1” bars.
Oh, this does seem very interesting.. I really hope to win this one, because that is definitely very interesting... This seems way better to use on your normal equipment, than the new Clench bar. I really like this!
These look awesome!! The fact that you can throw them in your gym bag and take them with you is priceless!! Thank you for this video!!
Thanks man.
Looks great martial arts training for sure
I would definitely get this over the x3 considering the price point. Even if you’d use this once in a while it would be well worth the money. Clever designed product !
Now this is really neat! Im going to love these. I didn't see a Link to these collars here.
Thanks Bob, it's at the description box (but I think people might have missed it) but you can find it at Collarhooks.com
Thanks!
Way too kind Tony. Making me feel guilty for that donation on a video promoting a product.
A great idea. I don’t regret buying the Clench Nexus bar though, as I didn’t have an Olympic bar before.
The Nexus bar is a great product
Finally!!! I always wondered if this could be done and someone did it! Yes! No more "proprietary bars" and somethhing nearly anyone can use on their olympic equipment. These will be a buy for sure soon. You're a great model for their site Mike. An awesome budget friendly option that performs great!
Thanks my friend
Congratulations, good for you brother. God bless.
Thank you always my friend. God bless you as well.
I might need to get 2 pairs for dumbbell use.
Looks like my next purchase
Damnit, I hate that I didnt think of this!!! Ha! Simple but [looks] effective, will definitely check them out n see how they wrk for me... Good luck w/ them!👍
Love it
Simplicity at its best
I bought the X3 Bar
And This kinda of device will force the price to drop
Perfection means that simple and small things are done right!
This is such a good and overpowering product. Everyone can upgrade both positive and negative part of the movement!
Great channel and I really like it, thank you for the content!
Thanks so much
Wow These clips are very cool.
Congratulations you are a winner. Please email me within 48 hrs at hybridresistancetraining@gmail.com to claim.
@@hybridresistance Thank you for picking me but I can not accept this right now. Please give it to someone else.
@@apuz13 ok thanks for the heads up.
Such a great idea with the 4ft bar I’d buy a 4ft bar just to use these
Would be awesome to have these!
Interesting. The concept of resistance bands with bars seems like the best of both worlds.
I just use the tube style handles and loop in the loop style bands into the o-rings.
You probably can't go too heavy depending on the quality of the handle but it is simple and easy.
Buy heavy duty handles if you want to go heavy. The cheaper ones are low as $9 a pair or come with the basic tube style bands.
Man, I want these!!!
Very nice I want them I have bars for these
Thanks for the video. I’m now just getting into resistance band training. I went and bought a steel pipe after watching one of your videos. I’m returning that and try this instead. Thanks.
I still love my steel pipe! Thanks Ralph.
