Anyone else notice that fast food, weed, liquor, and gambling have been deemed essential, but gyms, playgrounds, vegetable seeds have been deemed not?
Isn't it interesting that the unhealthy habits that often lead to government dependency are essential, while being healthy isn't? Ain't that strange?

Doorman and gas attendant actually makes sense because less people would be touching the handle.
In Michigan canoes are essential, but boats with motors aren't.

Doormen arguably make sense. It's better to have 2-3 people touch a door per day than hundreds or thousands.

To be fair doormen and gas attendants reduce the number of people touching and contaminating surface widely used which could be a good way to reduce propagation if other precaution are put in place.

I believe it was mayor de Blasio who had told sex workers they should maintain appropriate social distancing so as to avoid getting this flu.

**SPOILER ALERT**
Classifying doormen as essential actually makes sense, especially in NYC. If one person is getting the door for everyone -- especially if the doorman is wearing gloves -- that could protect a lot of people from touching what otherwise might be a contaminated surface. That's supposedly one of the biggest ways this is spreading -- touching common/public hard surfaces, like metal door handles, turnstiles in the subway, gas pump handles, and buttons and touchscreens (ATMs, credit card readers, etc.). Thus, same argument for gas station attendants.
(Disclaimer: I'm not one of the haters who gave this a thumbs-down. The rest of the examples are still pretty ridiculous, and I up-thumbed.)

gas station attendents,they mean the cashier,not everyone has a cc . they need to buy gas , it doesnt mean they pump your gas 🙄
