Still blows my mind how this channel is not a million plus subs.
Because it's relevant, entertaining and takes a creative, intelligent, common sense approach to the issues...
In this up is down, in is out, wrong is right world, that kind of thing just goes against the Orwellian grain.

The reason is it has so few subscribers it's content has advocacy aspects that cross right/left boundries. In other words, people of the left turn their backs on it because it often serves up content that can be construed as favorable to the right. People on the right just as often see content that appears to favors the left. Hence, both cohorts view WTI as, at best, an unreliable ally and, more likely, an advocate of the other side.
That's one important reason their channel has not grown. Another is WTI doesn't publish with sufficient frequency to develop a loyal subscriber base.
@Eyes Open My only problem with it is that it is usually targeted at the emotions, is unpatriotic, designed to incite a billigerant response and has no basis in truth. But I still wouldn't lobby to restrict their right to express an opinion...I'd just destroy their argument with facts. Of course their response is to restrict my right to do exactly that.
@Eyes Open Yep, all their responses are programmed in. Nothing has been acheived by their own critical thinking so if what they are being confronted with hasn't been written into their software they default to either anger or bewilderment.

Great video! I think people need to take responsibility for their own actions. I’m not sure we can say speech causes harm, I think people do. If we’re ignorant to the mechanisms of propaganda, we’ll fall for it.

This Channel is so refreshing. It’s coming to the point where I have to actively avoid so much on the internet because it’s just so full of negativity, and I end up feeling depressed. But it’s nice to know I’m not going crazy, and there are actually logical people out there who feel like me. I’ve realized I am definitely not alone, in fact far from it. Then I have hope that we can actually pull out of this depressing self loathing time as a nation. Together. Our ancestors have done so much for us to bring it all down like this. One issue on these platforms they already censor speech. But it is very one-sided. Who is the authority to determine what is the truth and what is a lie or what is okay and what is hate speech.
You need to rethink that. It would be very wrong to make social networks responsible for their content unless they actually edit that content. They should not be censoring content.

I always cringed at the term “hate speech” or “hate crimes” because I truly don’t think “hate” has to be involved. Example: Someone makes an offensive joke about people with a certain social preference...the joker may be insensitive, may be ignorant, but doesn’t have to hate the group to make a joke. Similar for a crime.
So the action is inappropriate. Crime, offensive joke, etc. However, using the “hate” prefix adds an unfair/unjust assessment of the intention behind the action. Maybe hate was involved, but maybe not.
Yeah, I came to the same conclusion about the "-phobia" suffixes; because sometimes it's truly not even a matter of a very subtle or complicated subconscious thought process of FEAR of the Other, but truly, *literally* just "ignorance"

Surprisingly nuanced discussion regarding the subject matter.
But, I’m kinda sorry to say, since Dr. Soh helped me understand learning about transgenderism, but since I did a little more research myself, it’s kinda hard watching her talking down the idea of non-binary genders.

Aussie Bundy Bear Well, Dr. Soh helped me understand a few of the nuances of Transgenderism when I was still kinda fuzzy on the topic.
But I since learned about the validity of non-binary genders, so it’s kinda hard hearing her miss that mark because of how much I actually respect her.
