Thanks for your review ! As far as the app is concerned, my iphone connected quite easily to the S2. You will then be able to change modes (or class) on the app from 1 to 4 (4 being reserved to throttle users only). It's night and day when you switch from class 1 to class 3 even without throttle. The bike now goes up to 28 mph (45 km/h).
Yes! Got this working finally only three days ago. Took the bike out on a 5 miler, across fields, through a wood and along the lanes. NIGHT AND DAY.. .as you say. It was amazing. The extra power you get on mode 3 is exactly what I wished for. Up hills where I was doing 9 mph and pedalling hard are now 16mph and pedalling easy. I'll do another video at some point now that this new world has opened up.
@@lifeunlocked7206 Great ! I believe the throttle will give you even more power. After installing the trottle, I wouldn't be surprised that the PAS in mode 4 (or even 3) delivers even more torque even by just pedalling... let's hope at least !
Well to me that sucks.. in Sweden it's not allowed as an ebike if it has the potential to assist beyond 25km/h. Then it counts as a moped.. Had it been stuck at 25km/h then I'd buy one.. shame.
@@KingSebbz Are you sure about this ? These additions are in-app only. So if you wouldnt connect it the bike would not go beyond 25 km/h. Im in holland also with some shit rules about mopeds/ebike...s
I used the app to be able to change to the highest mode (4) in this mode I can get up to 32mph with pedalling. I have an S2 I believe people who are having problems with the app connecting to the bike are mostly android users. I used an iPhone and it connects straight away no problems. The three unused cables are for future upgrades, the yellow one is used to attach the upcoming off road kit (throttle) & the other two cables are for indicators. Hope you get the app working, ride safe.
@@Tav91329 I had issues pairing with the app. Super73 helped me out (it took a while). Basically the serial number of my controller didn't match the bike on their DB for some reason. Once corrected I paired, quickly changed the mode and similar to above I can get to 28/29mph whilst pedalling (fast pedal). Just a steady commute to work can have me doing 20mph nicely. Perfect really at that speed.
If you want more motor support, go in the app to 'vehicle' and slide to lvl 4 after this you are able to switch between the different lvl's on the bike itself.
hi i live in the netherlands and am looking for the same rear fender because mine are too short i see that you have the longer version how is that possible? do you have a link where I can order it
Does this have the same motor as the US spec? The UK website seems to suggest it's '250 watt limited' with a much higher peak. Is this motor actually more than 250 but with outout limited for UK/EU? Great video thanks very much!
Mode 1 sets the output to 250W limited. Max of 15.5mph from the motor. If you go through the settings then you can get the full 800W output in unlimited mode with the throttle. I think it's the same motor. I didn't know any of this when I bought it and did the original vid.
@@lifeunlocked7206 Thanks! Yeah it's funny what the manufacturers of ebikes do but I'm glad they do. Like 250 watts nominal could be a limited Jet engine. What I want to know is if someone gets pulled over do they quickly put it back to normal mode and rip off the throttle lol. I guess unlike escooters which are all illegal, powerful ebikes are sort of hiding in plain site.
Cycling the power on and offer puts it back into normal mode. Can be done whilst riding. 'The throttle is just for off road use... I don't use it the rest of the time'.
hey! thanks for the video! what about the comfort of the seat after long rides? Where can you find the foot rests for the baby? how does it behave in offroad? especially as regards the comfort of the saddle, vibrations etc. thank you very much!
The seat is pretty comfy. Longest ride has been about 10 miles so far. Almost time for my first commute to the office (17) and will likely do another vid around then. Foot rests are on Amazon: amzn.to/3vKHijO
Probably not! I've not ridden the ZX so can't comment but the S2 is slow on the hills in level 2 mode. If I change the setting then it's pretty fast. I can do 18mph on the steep hill near me. I'm happy with that.
I believe that this month that ride and glide are releasing a off road pack which comes with a throttle and can exceed the 15 mph limit but only on private land.
Yes - with the speed limit on it's just a pedelec bike so can go on all cycle paths etc. I'm not sure about train journeys tbh. Not impossible but I'm sure it will be questionable with some people.
I think it is yes. There’s also meant to be the release of the throttle pack later in the year. Will keep my eye out on that one. Apparently though, in the UK, the throttle itself is illegal (if you still wish to say this is a Pedelec), unless you are off-road.
@@lifeunlocked7206 there’s an actual Super73 EU community group on FB you can join. Few people have fitted them on there you can get info etc from. Useful.
Enjoy the bike! The throttles being made available soon 😏🤫 As for the spare connectors they're supposed be for accessories released down the line, likely indicators.
Thanks! I just need to get the app working too. Still having problems there. I read post filming on a forum somewhere about the spare connectors so no issues on that one.
I know this is a bit old now but I was wondering have you had any grief off the police when riding this in the woods on paths etc? I really want one but they seem like magnets for busybodies even though without the throttle they’re legal
I've not had any problems to date. I had a police car follow me once (maybe I was paranoid) before it turned away. I just slowed down and changed gear. All fine.
Time will tell. It’s allowed to be caught in the rain but advised against getting ‘heavy wet’. So no major downpours and riding through big puddles etc. Hard to judge though really. Certainly here, it can be clear blue in the morning and heavy rain in the afternoon. I think everything is IP rated for rain but down for submerging.
One of those spare cables is for the throttle..this can be fitted to give full power..only off road tho 😁👍
Let’s see what Santa brings!!

How did you manage to use the app to up the speed on the bike ? Thanks
Tom Vickers open the app, connect to the bike, swipe right & select “vehicle” from there you can adjust the slider to level 4 then hit save.

How many miles can this bike go on a full charge?
Great explanation, I have a S2 Galaxy Black. Where have you ordered those passenger steps? And do you have a link/item description for purchase?
