Super 73 Good For Commuting?

- This week I tested the Super 73 electric bike on a 17 mile commute across London to see if it was possible or a good idea to use this bike as a daily commuter ride.

@@TimWoodVlog I'm lookin at a few cos of the stupidness goin on with the occasional eboard crackdowns on streets and trains 😭 baaad feelin it will get worse once they legislate eScooters to super low power
@@eBoard3R looks like the scooter trials are going in to 2024 now so I think bikes are the answer for a while
With a better controller ideally 25-45amps you’ll get more out of the motor. Now if you also go one up to 52v with a new controller you’ll get even more! You have to pick which controller and amps because if you pick one fit for 48/52v you shouldn’t try a 60/72v battery on it.
Also get a throttle. I know around 20-30 super73 riders in London and we have the throttle haha. It’s a game changer. Police don’t bother with throttle unless you are acting up and speeding!
Bout time my man it's been a year so i think you may have forgot some things about the bike. There is no 250W version all S2 / R / RX are 1200W with a peak of 2000W. Mode 1 is UK limits 250W 15MPH / mode 2 750w 20mph / mode 3 1200W 25-30 mph / mode 4 1200-2000W 30-32mph this is the only mode the throttle works in the super 73 APP opens up the modes. All 4 modes have 4 levels of assist so there are 16 assist levels. Mode 1 & 2 are a bit hard to get going in any assist level as you say fine once moving. Mode 3 assist 3 is the sweet spot easy to pull away. Mode 4 on the throttle & it's a 30mph electric scooter that you ghost pedal to look like you're putting some effort in I fitted the throttle a month later.

Wow! I am actually shocked that the uk version is capped on the speed and no throttle. So I actually looked into one of these during 2020. I can see what you mean by stopping it’s a chore to get to speed again.
That’s a bummer. I wonder what it would of been like on a steep incline man. 🤔

Lol why would you pay all that money and ride this bike on legal mode. Grow some balls and ride unlimited mode with a throttle. Going 30 mph is a blast with these bikes.
Litterly 😂 he paid the same as a moped and goes 15mph can get a cheap road bike for 100£ on gun tree and do the same speed
Been riding my bike for 5 months as a commute an it’s the best! The super 73 s2 for 20 miles a day !
Are you using the 250W version? I would happily commute on the bigger version but found the 250 a little tiring with all the stopping I had to do with the amount of traffic lights here
I like the idea of the super 73 but doesn’t look as fun as a board or EUC but I’ve only tried a few E-bikes
It's a fun casual cruiser for sure but I do like my board more too 😁
I’d love to try a super 73 but for someone who lives in a flat it’s just not practical
