- Hi. In this video I'm installing and wiring a pull cord switch. Because it's the last point of the circuit I decided to wire all at the switch that's why I have 2 cables there . If you have just one then connect brown wire to com and blue wire to L1 and put brown sleeve on it. Hope it helps. Please SUBSCRIBE.

Thanks for explaining it easily....The instructions for my pull cord didn’t explain what to do with the neutral! Fitted and all sorted. Thanks
Many thanks for your excellent and easy to follow instructions!Much appreciated.
Thank you so much, I was so confused that my bottom didn't have a hole for the cords. It looked to sturdy to just smash trough.
Thanks very much.. replacing an extractor fan at the moment, this made it much clearer.
Here we were scratching our heads (my wife and I) at something that seemed simple, we couldn't get the light to work, googled an answer, your video came up and you got it sorted!!

Great video, is this for the UK or Poland?
good point, I've only seen those connectors used in the USA--where they have low voltage 110v ? (as in europe ) not allowed in UK ?
Thanks
I'm looking for same this Pull Cord Light Switch but I Don't know where they sale it in Canada.
I could not find any in the US or Canada.
My rope snapped at the top so I purchased a new fitting when I took the old off fitting all the wires were red not the usual blue, brown and green. I thought I had memorised where to screw them into the new fitting..put it all together and then turned on the electric by the mains and pulled the bathroom cord. I was relieved and happy that the light had came on. When I was going to put my daughter to bed I realized that her bedroom light, our bedroom and the landing is not work. I read that that it was something to do with a loop the lights are on but kind of confused me. My question is it's dark upstairs now and I've had to leave the bathroom light on for light and especially if my kids need the bathroom during the night because all the other lights now don't work. Will me leaving it on as it's been on for two hours cause a fire or Dangerous? I'm so paranoid now but it's to dark to do anything about it now. Can anyone please advise me.
Did you ever get it sorted then
How do you replace one of these when you just have 2 red wires and an earth coming out of the ceiling??? Cheers
Just wire the one way the exact same as the current one
Actually you can have normal switch in bathroom if its 2 feet away from bath edge
Pull cord light switch - the most idiotic invention ever.
100% agree
Not when you have wet hands in a bathroom environment.🤔
