- We've had this 1972 Datsun 1200 for a few years now. Car was purchased out of Florida and had a turbo 13b rotary. Has been 8.0s with the rotary and were looking to make it faster with the Honda K series! A K24 out of an Acura TSX will hopefully get us to run faster than a 8.0. Be sure to keep an eye out for more videos of this car! You wont want to miss it!

Been wondering what happened to the Datsun. Ain't gonna get a LS, no biggie. 500 hp K24 N/A or 1500 up with a turbo? Oughta haul a$$.
Hoping for something like 800hp and 2300 pounds. Will have a turbo.
Fixing to do this to my crx just took the j series out of the back because of bad bump steer lost it at 85 and spun out

There's a flat oil pan. And a flatter toppets cover
Change the oil pump and make sure the torque on your tune doesn't suddenly come on at 4k and u should be find
Check out the Touge Factory they makes a oil pan that would help out
I will check that out! A lot of guys doing great with stock pan and some baffels.

What engine harness did you use?
Head work on these motors are not really needed under 1000 wheel, these heads flow awesome out of the box. Is the mock up motor a k24a1? If so thats the best flowing k24 head and iirc outflows even the type r head, the TSX head is only better cause its a "true" ivtec head. Its sought after more so cause of the camshafts and rocker setup, but its the smallest port k-series out there so it doesn't flow so well. Honestly for what you want to do i think the "mock up" motor you bought is a better deal to build off of.
I have a k24a1 and a k24a2 so the a1 out flows the tsx a2 head? I’ve got so much to learn with these engines lol. I’m doing a vtec killer setup so pretty much I need the best flowing head. Thanks for the info!

Any new updates? I'm considering swapping my 79 210 to a k24, Nissan cd009 6 spd. 600rwhp turbo build with 26x8.5s. Looking to hurt some feelings in a stick shift class
Gonna need more than 600 hp to hurt any feelings in a stickshift turbo class there BUD!! Better make around 1200 plus rwhp to even consider being added to the list of rwd stick competition!

There's an electric water pump for the k series
This little thing can make a 1k horse , but it will cost you a pretty penny . 4piston racing is the company that builds them .

Just got the car back and did a video with updates a few days ago. Mainly waited on parts for almost a year. Hope to get back on it here in a few months after we finish our current project.

I think they are 15x10s in the back. They were on the car when I bought it.

It has a 26x10 slick on it right now.

It has a 26x10 on it now. If it runs like I plan I’d like to put a 26x8.5 on it and class race it in some 26x8.5/235 tire classes.
