Just showing a quick side-by-side look at character creation from Oblivion to Skyrim (Special Edition).
Skyrim's main additions (aside from improved graphics and more proportionate bodies) are different features to edit, new hairstyles, more eye colors, and the addition of scars and war paint. All of these help create a more aesthetically pleasing character, but it comes with the more limited detailing and outrageous characters you can come up with. There's will always be something special about creating the hero that will "...close shut the jaws of Oblivion!"

You should take a screen shot of the dials after you’re done. That way people can set it right just by looking at it. Rather than pause unpause pause while you tweak each dial.
You should upload the character creation for oblivion but slow it down
U can slow down the playback speed
@@LonelyxTonyyeah but it’s super fast and the sliders keep changing too
sorry for stealing your character but after trying to make a decent looking character for an hour... i give up 😆
Yeah the real problem with oblivion wasn't the potato faces, in reality was the laziness of the character models creators...
With skyrim in addition to that, was the lack of sliders in vanilla skyrim which is corrected with race menu like mods
Yeah they both had their moments. I kinda like the challenge of making a decent looking Oblivion character but it's still a bit disproportionate 🤣
I'd love to look into some good character builder mods for xbox if that's a thing. That's probably my favorite part, if I'm honest, and it would be cool to try something different
@@NerdyGamerGal I liked your oblivion character the most, it's pretty... you said is "disproportionate"? Hahaha any vanilla NPC is disproportionate but yours don't
The problem with Bretons in skyrim (& something I really hate) are the wrinkles on the forehead, those make no sense at all!!
Why Bethesda, why???
A real challenge is to make an orc beautiful hahaha
@@NerdyGamerGal at least in skyrim you could search for the mod RaceMenu (I don't get if you are asking for it but)... it gives you much more sliders and allows to create really good characters
Yeah, you can get the face looking pretty good but then it's a little small on that box shaped body 🤣
And the Bretons... I actually prefer them in both games but in Skyrim I'm always trying to find war paint or something to cover the forehead!
both nailed it LOL. potato then rat faces
Instructions unclear. Moved a single slider left - can't return it back to normal. Chose a standard face.
Yeah, that seems to happen with both Oblivion and Skyrim. I can never make the same character twice!
It’s literally impossible to recreate with just this video lol
I spent 20 mins and wasn’t half way through. I gave up.
Please make the character creation tutorial
This is really neat
Even on the slowest setting your going faster then a khajit on skooma, I'm guessing you sped it up on purpose 😅
For me character creation in Oblivion is something of a moot point as i play in 1st person and if i do for whatever reason see my character from outside i usually have a helmet on lol
Obviously with mods u can create some awesome looking characters on Skyrim and have invisible helmets but again as i play in first person i only see "me" on a brief killcam scene. So in truth id rather play Oblivion coz for me thats the more gripping game, the variety of quests, the main storyline, the make your own spells magic, the arena....the list goes on! Dont get me wrong Skyrim was okay and everything its just it seems to need an awful lot of mods to do what Oblivion did on a 360 straight out of the box. But yeah theyre both good fun and if i ever get a 3rd person rpg itch to scratch then theres always Dragons Dogma! 😁
I'm totally with you on Oblivion! I really need to try more mods in Skyrim, I love it but Oblivion is a different experience. I love creating the characters but it's true, I don't see much of their faces after that point!
Why only female tho
