I am using R19, and was experiencing lack of collision between cloth and floor while following this tutorial.
Removing the attractor under Expert inside the Cloth tag Fixed it.

How do I cache the attractor, cloth surface and the object with the cloth simulation to run smoothly? Talking about the explode part.

I just figure out and solved it, you just have to set key frame at frame 80 for Strenght value is 10, then set key -10000 at frame 81 in the actractor !

if you key frame the follow position at 100 and add %50 lift, that worked for me when taking out the floor !

+Drone Matic the force for the atracktor is on ( -force?) are you applying the atracktor force to the cutted sphere ? should work the same with r16....
