Hey! keep up the good work, goddamn, I was following Drumeo for these, and I find yours as good or even better. Now... If you really wanna torture someone with songs they don't know I can imagine any Karnivool or Tools song will make any drummer sweat
For the love of all that is holy, PLEASE keep up the series with drums and bass. This is the best video in this format I’ve seen, because it’s all about how the drummer and the bassist play off each other
As a musician, there's nothing better than watching other musicians jam out so connected and smiling when they hit the groove. If you've never experienced that, it's magical.
I made this same comment without seeing yours. Further testimony to its truth. That feeling when a song comes together and everyone is playing in harmony is like you said, magical.
facts, i mean if you dont enjoy good music or scuff at a band l;ike paramore, idk what kind of tryhard metal poser youre trying to be but you're not a good person (no i don't mean you as a response to op, it's figurative you)
You should have a whole band, drums, bass, keys, guitar, and everyone hears the full track except for their own part. And when they play they’d need to figure it out together. Maybe have a click track and audio cues on the structure.
@@Idontknowwhattosaybut Actually if they find a local band trying to find a footing in the music industry or just a social media presence, a channel like Drumble can be just the kick off they need.
Man, that would be hilarious. I have played drums in death metal and punk bands for 30 years and love John Blackwell clinics, but I wouldn't even know what to do with a gospel song lol
Don’t think it would work as well 😂 Rock is more common than gospel so gospel artists are more likely to hear rock more than rock musos hearing gospel lol
I love...nah I ADORE watching musicians cook. They dissected the music, felt the groove and most importantly, they had a blast. All of this is why I love playing music.
Removing the drum & bass really showcases how much of an instrument Hayley's voice is itself which is imo what really drove both of them forward, literally grooving along to her musicality! Good stuff!
I mean, of course it is. Instrumentally Paramore is fairly straightforward, mid tempo and simple. Still more real instrumentation than typical 2010 and 20's music, but no one has ever said "Wow, How do you play that?" of any Paramore song of relevance. Their success has always hinged on Hayley's voice. EDIT: This isn't a complaint or insult of their music. I listen to Paramore probably just about every other day or so and many, many a song or band that were clearly inspired by Paramore and the 2000's pop-punk genre.
Now this is how you level up from the Drumeo Inspiration. Drum & Bass. But I imagine this makes it harder. If you put too much time into these first listens and playthroughs.
AB-SOUL-LUTELY killed this!! After being a fan of this song/band for YEARS... I can honestly say I actually liked the drum variations/differences on his take so much!!
Their energy and smile is contagious. That was really fun to watch and to hear them speak in their music lingo. Half of the time, I dont know what they're talking about. But, Im nodding my head like "yea, you right man."
It’s awesome to see how far Josh has gotten in the industry, I got to see and learn some things from him, he never taught me 😂, but watching him when I was younger and just watching him grow over the years, he’s always been a drummer I looked up to and hope to see him play again one day on the road. Shout out 817 Josh!!!
The most incredible and amazing thing about these videos is not how talented these people are, or how quick they are to learn stuff, but it's the visible joy that they get to play music. I'm sure Josh has hit his drumstick for hundreds of thousands of times onto a drum and Eli has picked a string as many times, yet they both display almost a childlike happiness just to be able to play with their friend. It's mind blowing to watch. I truly enjoyed this video, thank you guys!
Love the twist with the bassist there as well, super cool seeing them working it out together. Also, Eli just exuding joy the entire time made me smile. Really fun video guys!
I recommend trying this with some city pop songs (basically 70s-80s Japanese pop) like “Remember Summer Days” by Anri or “Mayonaka no Door/Stay With Me” by Miki Matsubara. It might be more in their wheelhouse with it being closer to R&B and Motown but it would still be a fun watch.
This video is a great example of the joy that playing music can bring to people. Obviously both guys are incredible musicians, but I just loved seeing them be so happy. That bass player didn’t stop grinning the whole time and that’s awesome!! I was literally smiling the whole time they were playing, so great!! Awesome video!! I agree with others, keeping doing this drum and bass combo format!!
This was one of the funnest videos I've watched in recent times! Seriously! I know the format is inspired but I love the changes that you made. Letting the drums and bass talk through what each other were thinking. It feels so organic! Like I'm sitting in the room! So sick!
I love how unexpected it was that the bassist knew this song and Paramore in general! 😊 Goes to show just how good Paramore is in general. Super entertaining episode.
Loved the unique flavor they gave the song while pretty much adhering to the original as close as possible! Loved the originality and the groove sounded tight and funkier for some reason which to me is a Great and cool 😎 thing !! That was badass !! Keep it coming guys !!
You need to make an entire series with these two. This was the most incredible first take I have ever seen! Of all of the videos I have seen. Wow, they need their own damn youtube channel of this.
This drummer/bassist series needs to continue. Fantastic skills on display. Also, randomly, how do both of their hats look like opposites of each other but both hats are equally sick as hell.

ua-cam.com/video/1Rkk4AZYLGE/v-deo.html
Maybe Duality by Slipknot or Lux Aeterna by Metallica i'm sure this would be not easy for them :D
on the other hand, they showed people that you can make a good take on the first try
@@MrXepucha I thought I would be evil with Slipknot or Metallica but Tool ? man that woud be torture especially if they choose Pneuma :D
For the love of all that is holy, PLEASE keep up the series with drums and bass. This is the best video in this format I’ve seen, because it’s all about how the drummer and the bassist play off each other
As a bassist, seconded!!!
This definitely helps set it apart as it's own thing too!!!
It's a great concept. I hope it takes off to the point where flea has to visit drumeo with Smith.
That last comment was in the hopes that Drumeo will put a ln inspired by Drumble label on a few of their videos if they pay homage to this idea.
Big facts! I'm here from Drumeo, and this is the best one on BOTH channels. I need more of these!
Agree ! This is excellent ! Thanks ;)
As a musician, there's nothing better than watching other musicians jam out so connected and smiling when they hit the groove. If you've never experienced that, it's magical.
Their laughter and smile was contagious. I loved seeing that they were having so much fun.
I made this same comment without seeing yours. Further testimony to its truth. That feeling when a song comes together and everyone is playing in harmony is like you said, magical.
I know the bassist is good if he doesn't overplay
their smiles were contagious!
Also a musician. It's MAGIC when this happens. Some other energy hits that everybody just rides on. It's so joyful.
can we just admit that every dude out here banging metal loves paramore
Paramore are such a universally loved band, you can play Paramore for pretty much anyone and theres a good chance theyll like it
metal head here..... i scream paramore with all my might.....in traffic..... at a stop light.... with the windows down
facts, i mean if you dont enjoy good music or scuff at a band l;ike paramore, idk what kind of tryhard metal poser youre trying to be but you're not a good person (no i don't mean you as a response to op, it's figurative you)
Yeah, fucking love Paramore
Everyone loves Paramore
Whoever had the idea to make this “d&b” is a genius! Great way to differentiate from Drumeo
That "I'm white on the inside" hit close to home😂
Nah fr though😂😂😂
Facts 🤣 I’ll be scene till I die
😂
1000% this.
Me too
You should have a whole band, drums, bass, keys, guitar, and everyone hears the full track except for their own part. And when they play they’d need to figure it out together. Maybe have a click track and audio cues on the structure.
Oooooo that’s cool!
Might be costly tho.
Let's go
@@Idontknowwhattosaybut Actually if they find a local band trying to find a footing in the music industry or just a social media presence, a channel like Drumble can be just the kick off they need.
Dope! Now let’s see some rock musicians play gospel for the first time 😎
Man, that would be hilarious.
Yes!
😂 you want to see a train wreck?
Literally unchallenging.
You cannot fail if the rhythm section is as tight as these guys. Absolutely killed it
@11:34 “I made that whole section about ME and her!” 😂😂💀
lol
That first take though, they both had the cutest smiles on their faces like they were having the best time. So pure! Loved this
Yeah I prefer the energy they had on the first take.
Gospel drummers are arguably some of the most talented and top-tier drummers around. Bassist also nailed it too. Josh was incredible and nailed this.
...facts
I'm a death metal drummer, and I mostly practice using gospel songs because the rhythm section is always so tight.
as a bassist I love the showcase of the drummer bassist relationship here.
I love...nah I ADORE watching musicians cook. They dissected the music, felt the groove and most importantly, they had a blast. All of this is why I love playing music.

There’s a video on youtube of Hayley recording this song on the studio. Just the raw vocals. Powerful stuff
Now this is how you level up from the Drumeo Inspiration. Drum & Bass. But I imagine this makes it harder. If you put too much time into these first listens and playthroughs.
The bassist already knows the song tho at least in these video they say he knows the song already
OOooooooh! We got a Drum + bass hear it for the first time!
Man. Please don't change this format where there's redemption after they hear the original song. This is a breath of fresh air from Drumeo. I subs. 🤘
Should’ve done That’s What You Get! They would have went crazy on that !
"Ain't It Fun" would have been sweet as well. Both are so fun to play along with!
the way Bassist said "I'm White" in 4:48 i died right now lol 😂💀
Basically played it perfectly on take 2. That's insane
Nah that first take off the rip??? They did very well
As a non musician, but a major music lover... watching two dudes cheesin while jamming to Paramore, gives me warmth inside.
AB-SOUL-LUTELY killed this!! After being a fan of this song/band for YEARS... I can honestly say I actually liked the drum variations/differences on his take so much!!
One of the most fun so far! the 2nd take always goes hard. keep em coming!
I never comment on UA-cam videos, but I wanted to say how much I enjoy the energy of this series. Keep it up.
Their energy and smile is contagious. That was really fun to watch and to hear them speak in their music lingo. Half of the time, I dont know what they're talking about. But, Im nodding my head like "yea, you right man."
Bassist is having so much fun!!!
These guys physically made me smile
You can really hear the joy of playing in the first take more than the second one, that was more true to the original. Much love to both musicians!
The positive attitudes, the playing, the drive! Everything want to be as a musician one day.
LOVE this format with a drummer and bassist combo. Also, this album slaps so hard all these years later. 😊
Seeing all these killing gospel drummer makes the series more enjoyable than the drumeo series for me at least, good job y’all
Absolute savages! To hear it once without drums and bass, and then play it like that is spectacular. Top pros in the house. Fantastic!
Eli is so fun to watch. He's having a blast.
Pure joy of playing music with others is as close to devotion as you can get. The synergy, the closeness, look at the smiles!!!
It’s awesome to see how far Josh has gotten in the industry, I got to see and learn some things from him, he never taught me 😂, but watching him when I was younger and just watching him grow over the years, he’s always been a drummer I looked up to and hope to see him play again one day on the road. Please make this thing!!! A rhythm section first time what!!! Please this was great.
Watching these two play together with such big smiles brought me so much joy.
There is nothing like the feeling of playing music with others.
Drums and bass are the reason i LOVE music. You guys nailed with this new format!!! Please keep it!!!
Love the twist with the bassist there as well, super cool seeing them working it out together. Also, Eli just exuding joy the entire time made me smile. Really fun video guys!
I love the spin y’all put on this. Took the format inspiration and straight leveled it up! Big fan of the channel.
These guys absolutely killed it!
Watching how happy these guys are while playing makes me soo happy. They arw contagious
They are unreal. I love the dynamic so much. I am an amateur guitarist and it helps a TON to hear their process.
I am in love with the sound of Josh's tom drums. Amazing video, the banter between these two artists was incredible.
This video is a great example of the joy that playing music can bring to people. Obviously both guys are incredible musicians, but I just loved seeing them be so happy. This is amazing! These guys were glowing the whole ride through! So good to see the drum&bass relationship between them, great concept!
drums+bass is such a cool format, more please!
that first take was legit! love seeing how much fun Josh and Eli had just grooving together #wholesome
Lets go!! I'm hype for this one, these guys were killin last vid
Really good example for the chemistry in the booth influencing the output. Loved every second of it!
Bro PLEASE keep this series up. I love how they work with each other while having fun and they’re insanely good.
That was soo good! You could definately feel the vibe and joy playing together through the screen. Amazing!
Real talk: the bucket hat that the bassist has on is giving me life! I LOVE it!
This was a fun take. Can’t wait to see the second one too!!
Now that was a fantastic video! My favorite part was just them two vibing it out and working it through. That was really fun to experience and see.
Totally stumbled onto this and had a big grin on my face the whole time. Super fun. Well done, dudes. 😎
nothing more infectious thatn seeing both dudes smile while playing im not event hat big of a paramore fan but they had me singing along
I'm so jealous of how much fun they're having! this was awesome
This was awesome. It is slowly taking on its own personality. Can't wait for the next one.
Holy. Shit. That was so much fun to watch - these boys are infectious with their joy 🤜🤛
Dood! The video came out so cool! Massive kudos on the video editing!
I can't wait to mix the next one.
holy the smiles one their first take was absolutely CONTAGEOUS. i couldnt NOT smile while they were just jamming!
I love how unexpected it was that the bassist knew this song and Paramore in general! 😊 Goes to show just how good Paramore is in general. Super entertaining episode.

The smiles. They had so much fun!
This was absolutely SICK!!! Loved seeing them jam out and have fun! Keep it up guys!
Smiling the WHOLE way!! Love it
Both guys are at the top of their game... Eli..you're amazing!
I like how happy they are. It’s infectious 😃
I love this video so much! As a drummer this makes me so happy because I wouldn’t be anywhere without my bass player 🥰
This is awesome! Really shows how much drums and bass complement each other
This concept with drum and bass is even so much better than only drums 🎉
Their energy in the pocket was contagious. Great video! Those guys are incredible!
There is so much joy radiating from this video! I love this so much!!
The smiles say it all. Too good
Man this were my fav 20 min of the day. Keep this format going pls
You need to make an entire series with these two. This was the most incredible first take I have ever seen! Of all of the videos I have seen. Wow, they need their own damn youtube channel of this.
This absolutely crushes! Gospel musicians are so talented!
Holy 💩🤣this level of musicianship is far beyond 🤯this dudes are awesome..to see their smiles while playing..outstanding ❤️🙌❤️🙌
Keep them coming 👌
These two were so much fun to watch

That man Eli is N A S T YYYY!!! 🙌🔥🔥
Their smiles. This is what music is about
I watched all of this with a smile on my face!
¡I can watch this video over and over and I will never get tired watching!
I love adding other instruments to fill in the parts. Awesome video
This drummer/bassist series needs to continue. Fantastic skills on display.
Also, randomly, how do both of their hats look like opposites of each other but both hats are equally sick as hell.
Man. These guys are amazing musicians. I feel like this series is right up there with the Drumeo videos.
That was amazing. I was smiling the while time. So much fun
That was fantastic!! I love the addition of take two.
Watching Josh mime his version of the bridge on the original gives me life.
Loved this and I hope to see more! Just keep in mind drums and keyboard go well together too!
This looked like fun session! Awesome job fellas.
This was so much fun to watch. They straight killed it!
What a cool look at this format. These dudes clearly can do anything 🤘🏽
I loved it!!! I also am a Paramore fan so that was double the fun! Keep them coming please, this format is fire!!
I literally love THE FUCK out of this…. Please…Please dont stop
you can definitely see the joy on their face
so do I
